Great place for views of the Downtown SD skyline. If you can get there at night right before the ferry is about to leave, you may find yourself with a really nice photo. The beaches around are clean and very relaxing to spend time there. I felt pretty safe, and there tend to be people at all times on weekends.Fair few restaurants nearby, and plenty to do/see. Parking is limited, and you may have to walk a bit to get there, but much easier at night time. I just parked on the side of the road about a quarter mile away and walked down the waterfront.

The cost of the ferry is $5 one way and $10 for a round trip per person, it lasts 5 minutes if you go to convention center and 15 minutes if you go to broadway.

We love this little shopping center near the ferry landing! It has little shops and restaurants, a bit of a tourist trap if you let it be (not for us since were locals). There is a good area to walk along the bay, as well as small beach and grass areas to hang out at, launch kayaks from, etc. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked.

Amazing location and very glad I came here! I rented bikes and got a 4 passenger bike and there was more than enough space to drive around and really clean and stores and shops were very unique and clean! The stores were very big and able to fit 2,3,4 kid strollers and can fit a big family to walk around the stores. The parking is more than adequate! Although prices for items are high but make up in amazing views and weather!

One of the best view of the downtown buildings especially if you go to this place after sunset and the buildings are all lit up. Great place to bring your out of towners family visiting. There is a little sandy beach for little kids to play and a little park to hang out. There some variety of shops and restaurant in the area. Parking is sometimes hard to find so be patient. Definitely a great family place.

I used to love going here pre Covid 19, it wasnt always packed and the shops are super cute and fun to check out. The BBQ place is delicious too However this long weekend may have brought out more people than normal or it may just be the nature of everyone being home. I went over the labor day weekend and there was a decent amount of people which made it difficult to properly social distance. There were hand sanitizing stations located around the area, and especially near the stores where people were walking by the most, so that is a plus. Regardless, I recommend stopping by to enjoy the sunset and cute shops! Stay safe yall!

Yes but there another ferry on the other side of seaport about a half mile going the derection of the Hilton Hotel. That is right near embarkadero south that takes you to cornado island on a little ferry. Right at the right corner of the street in front of the crab shack restaurant. Small walk from seaport but beautiful, safe and fun area to sight see. And take photos:-)

Affordable ferry that takes you from SD pier to Coronado. $5 per person per trip or $10 round trip. Cheaper than an Uber or Lyft and funner experience. Trips to Coronado fall at the top of every hour beginning 9:00 am and trips back to SD pier fall at every half hour.

Only five dollars to cross over to Coronado Island 10 return journey, but also great to see the San Diego skyline and a great selection of shops to slowly browse whilst waiting for the ferry, close to the star of India ship which is worth a visit just on its own.My visit was in May just after 2 in the afternoon and was happily surprised how quiet the ferry was,I can surmise that if the weather has been warmer and not raining it would of been a lot busier.

Beautiful. Breezy. Relaxing. Diverse. Many souvenir shops and local stores with lots of deals and sales. The food was amazing. The hotel was awesome; full of history and icons/stars who stayed in the past and present have their photos on the wall which is supercool. I advise everyone who visits Coronado to check out the hotel and its scenery. The views smell of harmony and meditation. There are events and activities all around. The sidewalk stroll along the beachfront can be crowded with dogs, couples, and children but its not overwhelming yet satisfying to see happy people removed from the stresses of work and life. Looking out into the horizon is priceless! Its a MUST visit....
