This was a cute park and the history of the tower was interesting. It was had to figure out where to park because there was a gate right near the entrance. I loved the glass blower statue
Cool little tid bits of info, clean place to sit. Statue has alot of detail! Nice spot
Its literally just a white tower looming over downtown Corning, but it has a great deal of local significance and ties into the regions history as a pioneer in quality glass manufacturing. If you get up close, youll find some nice statues and info at the base. Note that you cannot actually enter the tower. (Though it was never meant for that purpose anyway.)
One of the major landmarks in Corning. If you work in Corning, Avis and National rent car would drop / pick their cars inside the parking area near Little joe
Theres a cute little park with a glassblower statue. Go see it if you havent!
One of the few truly historic landmarks left. Like little Joe my grandfather and great grandfather were gaffers so he symbolizes a part of our history in this country too.
Absolutely beautiful piece of history. If you get a chance, go take a look.
Little Joe is an icon. A landmark towering above the Chemung. 5/5 forever.
Little Joe is the old thermometer tower where they used to draw glass for thermometers. You cant go in, but its a great photo opportunity.
Thanks for the benches.
Bigger in person, nice history!
There is a complete description of what the Corning Inc glass tower was used for on site.Basically it was used to make thermometers!
