Awesome place to bring the pup. I brought my 10 year old son and our 3.5 month lab. I think my son had as much fun as the pup. All the dogs were friendly, running around and playing. They have a hose, water bowl and bucket for the dogs to drink water. Nice big open gated space to let dogs run and play.

Great place for families and also for individuals. Lots of diverse people come here so being diverse myself, I felt welcome coming. Great views of the lake and lots of seating areas with bbq grills, both secluded and not secluded. The restrooms were descent. Theres separate parking for cars with boat trailer hitches. Theres also a boardwalk into the lake with lots of seating and great views. And a beach for swimming (closed at the moment due to covid precautions). Theres a nice dog park and play ground. For the 3 times I went, I always saw police discreetly present(including a police boat) which made the place feel safe.

Awesome park! They have improved it dramatically. Big playground with small zip line for kids, more picnic tables, easy access to lake for boats and jet ski, small area for paddle board enthusiasts, and a small beach area for the publicIt was closed due to unreasonable orders, but people still enjoyed themselves using common sense!

Took my puppy to the dog park which is really just a fenced in sand pit. Right in the gate my pup was pinned by a snarling blue pit which I had to remove from my dogs neck as the owner slowing came towards us yelling. After that we did some playing and running around until that same blue pit attacked a 3 month old golden puppy and half the dogs left. (I have nothing against pits I love them but if your dog has aggression please dont take it to a huge dog park) The owners of the poor little puppy will probably never take it to another park and everyones day was ruined. I probably wont be back. Whats a dog mom have to do to find a damn dog park with grass lol

I think the fact that they want you to pay to go to this pathetic little roped in water and small overcrowded sand area is beyond ridiculous. If you like views of disgusting McMansions this is the view for you. The water is murky and red and warmer then bath water.

Fall colors are excellent for November early days. Lake is so striking when the sun looms over it. There are some trails for those of you who are feeling adventurous. If your kids wants some fun, there is a nice park with a small zipline. Sorry the beach is closed due to Covid 19. Kindly follow the Covid 19 guidelines. These is a fixing pier and boat launch.

Became one of my favorites. First time I went by myself on a weekday and it’s was so peaceful and pretty then came back with my kids on Memorial Day. They enjoyed it to the fullest. Such a fun day and the park is clean itself, always security around making sure everything is alright. Definitely coming back soon! They have like 6 bathrooms(diaper change table)which is good especially on the weekends so we didn’t have to wait.

Nice little beach, its kinda small and gets pretty busy! Opens at 10am so get there early for a spot! No alcohol allowed, cops stay posted by entrance. This is a great park to go with little ones, because they put wrist bands on all kids, so no one can walk out with them. Very safe, clear water, has a pebbled bottom so water shoes would be a good idea.

The weather is good and the breeze was amazing. The are where the water was safe for swimming was a little crowded. There was a board walk in to the lake and the view there was beautiful. This was such a nice park! We were able to park close to the beach access and walk right into the sand. There is a roped off area in the water to keep the water access safe for kids. It had a boat ramp, a playground, picnic tables, dog park, trails, and other amenities. We would highly recommend coming here for a place to swim into Lake Norman and have some fun!

I was there on a holiday during December, and the park was basically unsupervised. All the bathrooms were locked. The trail was interesting, but short. Plenty of people in the dog park (which seems to be the main attractions, except for boating in the summer). Might be good for a picnic as well. Not a huge attraction as far as state parks go.

The park is nice. $5 for weekday parking for residents. (Ive never been asked to show a license or proof of residency.) The water is very shallow, making it perfect for young kids but frustrating for anyone wanting to actually swim. If swimming with fish creeps you out, this is not the place for you. There is such a thick bed of rocks, its painful to walk. Water shoes are recommended. No grilling or alcohol allowed, but coolers and umbrellas are.

What a delight! This park has excellent hours for the little ones and you to enjoy. I got a late start yesterday around 4 but still had until 7:30/to enjoy a day at the beach with my family. Weekdays work better for me, as it was plenty of space to set up my area(blankets, food, cooler etc.)Staff was super friendly and seem to really love their job and people. My grandson who is 3 and my nephew who is 20 said they were very thankful that I brought them here to (Ramsey Creek) admission was only two dollars!! Unbelievable. I loved it the water in the lake was cool and plenty of ducks and geese around to let you know you were sharing space with them.Cant wait to go back for my boat ride!!

Ramsey creek park has a Wonderful dog park. There is also a bathing station outside of the dog park if your dog gets dirty. The people that go there are responsible dog owners and clean up after their dogs and watch out for one another. There are beautiful paths leading down to the beach, so someone can go to the lake as well. The public beach is rather small, but it is still beautiful.

Sign and website state its open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Brought my family here June 8th and its closed. This place was okay. There’s a swimming area with life guards so it’s great for kids. It’s not that great if you’re an adult because the place for swimming is small. You can’t swim at the areas where you can bring your dogs, but they can get in the water on a leash. You can’t even go a few feet in without a park ranger almost giving you a ticket.
