Im a crafter. My son brought me a Michaels gift card for my birthday. I only went due to that fact. I purchased a few clearance items and some oversized storage boxes for my handmade scrapbooks. Besides that nothing else caught my eyes.

It was so exciting getting back into Michaels to browse and pick up great goodies and craft ideas! I called ahead and discussed the mask policy as I am unable to wear a mask due to potential of fainting/medical condition. Though the manager said it is policy, she respected my needs and said come on in, the store was slow and she felt it would be a good time for me to shop. She told me she would tell her register people and employees and I was welcomed and helped as courteously as always. Bravo to the amazing, compassionate staff.And please.... Corporate Michaels... your employees shared with me that they dont feel well having to wear the masks and that they wouldnt be surprised if it werent they who pass out. They informed me that the air con was not quite cool enough to help prevent them from over heating behind the masks that are decreasing their oxygen saturation. This is inhumane.Please remember, if a patron or an employee faints and injures themselves because they are not getting enough O2 behind the.masks, it will not be Gov. Cuomo that they will have a lawsuit with, it will be the corporation of Michaels.I hope you will change your policy to highlight the actual details of the executive order, which states at the very end. Executive order applies except if one has a medical condition as long as the person maintains 6 ft distance from other people.Oxygen deprivation is a serious issue. If you want to protect your employees, you should have their O2 saturation checked throughout the day, it will most certainly be low. Anything below 93 is a sign that the body may be in distress.PLEASE PROTECT YOUR EMPLOYEES AND RESPECT THAT ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL AND THAT MANDATORY MASK WEARING IS ACTUALLY A VIOLATION.THANK YOU!

Short, middle aged blonde lady (manager I guess) was complaining to the cashier right after I left that I wiped out his register with my returns. I returned 50$ of stuff. Is that not allowed? Also alot of younger guys who work there who have no personality and know nothing about crafts. dont usually shop at this location and wouldnt again.

They had what I was looking for and bought a few nice items that are discounted.

It was very clean and organized. It is really true that store are so different based on what zip code they are in. Because the Commack store and the Shirley store are like night and day.

Just your average craft store but some things such as stickers and paint and scrapbooking and album supplies and all in all in general could be cheaper. come armed with coupons :) they have tons online and you could always ask the cashier if she has any (they normally do if you ask nicely).

Even though they were moving the Christmas to another location it was still clean.. Hard working people in there.. however the lines were long and they only had 2 people working. Overall good place.. will be going back to this store.

Store was clean, but they were rushing us to get out so they could get out exactly at the time they needed too. Didnt get what I needed. Was told 3 times store is closed meanwhile there were still others left shopping. Very young staff and eager to leave. Unprofessional.

Filled to Brim with Art Supplies. Their Yarn & Art Dept is in disarray. Went on A Sunday afternoon- Hot Outside- HOTTER inside. No Lions Brand yarn/ Caron lines NOT in Store. MANY others- out of stock- which does not HELP when you are in midst of a project and need to continue Same Yarn.ITs Like they DONT care about Yarn crafters- stuck Way back in store - last 2-3 shelves of Yarn merchandise that is overpriced- like Bernat Yarn.Got to the register with my yarn substitutes- 2 registers open- problem at BOTH lines- by this time- my face was flushed from the overheating in the store- and stuck there- next in line- for over 20 mins- because customers on both lines- had multiple pricing problems at checkout.Only there because Hobby Lobby is closed Sunday & hit their store Monday with 30%off on Yarn. Michaels stuff is being returned.

They still stocking it so some things are not yet available. Still bright and friendly staff!

We found a few supplies for our girls Girl Scout Pinewood Derby cars. And at least they were open on Sunday, unlike Hobby Lobby.

Great store. Has everything from scrapbooking to crafts. Staff is friendly. Great place to go for kids school project. Store has late hour so it convenient for late night projects that need to be done by morning. Been there many times.

Great location for me to run out and grab things that I may need while in the middle of a project. Also, if you need a last minute gift, the new T.J. Maxx is next door. They are not as stocked as the other locations, but if youre in a pinch, you may find a quick gift.

Michaels store in Commack has very poor service! The staff are not aware of their policies especially on discounts and promos. They are not consistent with their promos and the staff people are not very helpful either. I am very disappointed and will not go back there again.

I had a question about yarn and the told me she had no clue about yarn. Its horrible that the staff is not aware of merchandise. Neve ed go for help there. Hobby lobby is a better choice or Joannes.

I had order something online to pick up. They didnt have it I told the cash register girl. Her answer she didnt know. And the price was more than what the website had it for. I still bought it

Aisles are WAY TOO crammed. Not enough space for two people to be near each other. The staff had no clue where anything was located. I asked three people for glue guns, a few minutes later I found them myself. Disorganized store.

Good selection of so many things but no staff to help you find anything, just ended up walking out cause I couldnt find what I needed even though I am pretty sure they had what I wanted.

Nice staff, great location. Easy to see right off of Jericho Turnpike servicing Commack, Northport, Dix Hills and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Plenty of parking and a wheel chair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back.

I got accused of stealing when trying to return old purchases without a receipt. I’ve never ever had an experience like this at any other Michaels, and I’m there all the time for work supplies. Will never ever be going to this location again.
