Very interesting information. I loved learning about Amelia Airhart. W.A.S.P. was cool too! The government would not pay for women pilots bodies to be shipped home so the did fund raising to bury them and all.

We were only able to visit for a short time, but will be back. This was a great little museum. They even have a small library that looks like it would be perfect for someone doing a project for school. Cant wait to come back when we can spend more time. The gentlemen helping out were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Seeing the aerial photos of the farmland that was commandeered for the base brought home the sacrifice Americans made for the war effort. The video of the Jeep in the glider right behind the pilots showed the danger the glider pilots faced. The display about the Tuskegee airmen made me think about the honor of those men.
