The reason why Covid 19 is spreading not only in Ohio but in the whole country is because of the airlines. Yes there are a mask policy to get on the plane but the airlines are serving every passenger drinks and snacks and everyone takes off their mask all at the same time when they eat/drink. P.s. the flights are pretty much full.

I am eagerly awaiting our governors abject and heartfelt apology. He tested positive yesterday before meeting the President, then later that same day tested negative. He saw WITH HIS OWN EXPERIENCE that false positives are assuredly skewing the numbers. Drastically. I expect the state to be wholly reopened immediately.

We visited from Cleveland, and it was a wonderful experience to see the Capitol of our own state. Even on a Monday morning it was a quick, painless drive from a nearby suburb where our hotel was. We parked in the garage under the building that was easy to find and very inexpensive (for 2 hours it was $4). We began the free tour in the Map Room that has all of the counties of Ohio in stone, which was a very beautiful tribute to each location. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the buildings, as well as current happenings in the government. It is a beautifully done Greek Revival style building that has many tributes to the history of Ohio. There is also a very interactive museum that houses modern displays of new government as well as the original Ohio declaration. Everyone was friendly, had a kind welcome and warm smile. We felt so welcome and will be happy to return- an overall great experience. It made us very proud to be Ohioans!

If this is where the statewide mask mandate came from, you deserve NO stars. Please use a calculator and math to see why it was a stupid idea. Either masks work, and EVERYTHING would be open including sports, concerts, theaters - or they DONT and no one needs to wear one.But hey - only 56 million more cases and well reach the H1N1 flu levels of 2009. What were the masks like back then? When did the schools close?

What an incredible experience. Beautiful architecture, wonderful history and well preserved and detailed grounds. We had a great time. Parking was easy and affordable and everyone was friendly. This is a great tribute to Ohioans and Americans alike.

Im so pleased that theres a cafe near our side with an interior layout of tables fully intended for their customers to linger over a coffee to work, chat, and socialize. This courtyard is delightful, with a shade tree and a dripping water fountain along a vegetated wall, that shuts out the ugly concrete grind just on the outside. The tables dont feel flimsy, and they are well sized for laptops or discussions among groups. Certain tables are closer to the outlets which are often thoughtfully pointed out, and most of the exterior tables are within proximity of one of their standing gas heat lamps, which is precisely necessary when seated for long periods. In all this is a cafe users dream, which most other places dont seem to get right.

Inside is so massive that you can get lost!! Even finding the entrance is super hard. Hahaha At any entrance you have to go through airport-like security. Not sure which entrance I went into but I couldn’t find where the tours started. So I walked around myself and went to practically every corner of the building getting lost and to knew corners. I somehow made it to the basement museum and found the actual museum/tour entrance. Haha The museum store happened to be located at the beginning of the museum.Very nice place. You can practically go anywhere that doesn’t have a security guard blocking your way. It had an outside in feeling. Like a big forum that looks like it belongs outside the building but is inside.Tours are free!!!

While I think any statehouse is worth a visit, and we wander the country taking in as many as possible, this is one of the least attractive ones. They host a good landscape/gardens and the flower beds that are planted like OH & US flags are magnificent! Rotunda marble mosaic floor is gorgeous as is the interior of the adjoining building, but the statehouse exterior is plain and the interior color scheme is awful. There is a nice museum in the basement, which used to be the stables. Dont miss the taxidermy pigeon in the connecting arboretum. Someone had a sense of humor.

There is a lot to do in the Ohio State Capitol inside and outside the Capitol Plaza building, which helps narrow down the scope before you visit. The State Capitol is home to Ohios official business activities. A free guided tour is provided daily to provide an overview of the best history and design. If you choose to visit yourself, be sure to observe the large rotunda with thousands of marbles inside and visit the Museum Education Center. The Statehouse gift shop features unique gifts and artwork from Ohio artists. You will want to walk around the state capitol, observe statues, monuments and tribute to important VIPs and historic moments in Ohio.

I do not know how you review a State Capitol, but I was there for Youth in Government multiple times and it is very functionable, beautiful, accessible, and historical and you can have events held in the Capitol. Can not really complain about anything except that it can sometimes take awhile to get in the Capitol during Youth in Government, but that is only annual and nothing major that would prevent events and what not. A great Capitol over all.
