Great venue! I was there working an art/fashion/music show. The staff were awesome, and very helpful. I was paying more attention to the venues set-up, and equipment. I noticed that the sound system, and projector was newer considering the historic building (had a situation at another venue where they had an analog board... noticed one of the performers asking the very same thing here, and they were able to accommodate....deja Vu ). These old church buildings carry great sound as well. They dont have, or really need the huge tower speakers. With what they have, you can hear the stage from anywhere in the building... I was working the stage, and it was important to be able to hear the stage when I wasnt backstage, this WAS NOT an issue at all. I could even hear the host from the basement. The flow of the building is great, most of the crowd gathers on the main floor, so its easy to get around, and the fact that theres multiple bars on all of the floors eliminates having to stand at a crowded bar waiving money to get the bartenders attention lol (if youve ever been to a bar/club, you know what I mean).Oh! Most important part, THEY HAVE THEIR OWN PARKING! Thats always a plus for me in downtown areas...it sucks to pay if youre just going there to hang out, but imagine having move equipment, carry stuff in and out, and having to worry about moving out of the unloading zone in a short amount of time...YEAH, a venue having its own parking is more important than you may think. To sum it up, this place is a great place to perform if youre a band, or musician.

Earlier this month, my daughter had her wedding at The Bluestone. I was blown away by the courtesy and dedication to good service we received from everyone working at the venue. They pulled off the wedding, cocktail hour and reception, flawlessly. To anyone considering getting married in Columbus, The Bluestone does an excellent job. Sarah Straty, the Event Coordinator, goes above and beyond to ensure the wedding is everything that the Bride and Groom envision. Shes incredible! So many of our guests have told me it was the most fun theyd ever had at a wedding. And my daughter and her husband described their wedding day as magical. That is exactly what we hoped for! Thank you, to Sarah and all the staff at The Bluestone.

1st time attending this joint for the Beatles Marathon. Perfect venue for a great show! Nothing like rocking out in a neat old church for 12+ hrs. Staff is friendly, plenty of bars located throughout the venue so you dont have to venture too far to quench your thirst, and food trucks outside. Definitely recommend checking out a show at this venue.

Recently visited for a Mitchell Tenpenny concert. They only had someone collecting money ($10) and not directing traffic so we had to circle around 3 parking lots before we could find an open spot to park. Security was friendly and fast to go through. We also received our wristbands quickly if you were wanting to purchase alcohol (most drinks $8-$9) the venue is so pretty but the bar area definitely needs updated. Looks like the basement of a phat house but bartenders were great and were fully staffed. Never had to wait long at all for a drink. Bathrooms were clean and there was an assistant, should you need something. Concert was a lot of fun, and great to be able to get close to the artists performing. Location was easy to get out of at the end of the night and lots of places for easy pick up/drop off if you were getting an uber.

AMAZING Location for a wedding. The staff was wonderful, the spaces are amazing, and left us with a night we will never forget. The Bluestone is an old church that has been renovated into a meeting/gathering place. There is huge stain glassed windows that are accented by a huge wood floor a gigantic cathedral ceiling. Then accented by modern art inspired bars and decor. Through the main halls they have a lot of really cool posters from concerts that they have held there in the past. There is a few different rooms in the place they have very small meeting spaces for just a group of 10- or 20 all the way up to a the largest space that could easily accommodate 500 in standing room only. Definitly check out their webiste for good pictures on each of the spaces. The food was wonderful and although they switched cooks half way through our planning they easily accommodated another tasting. Everyone knows in event planning things change, but the difference is in how people deal with it. And the staff did wonderfully in accommodating all of our needs/wants.With all this said The place is not cheap to rent, but for everything offered it was fairly priced.

By far the worst VIP service I’ve had to date. They let the staff off the clock over run our area. The VIP host and manager were slamming shots with a regular that upon arrival that started yelling at me cause I was standing to close to his area. As I explained to him we have the table next to him he starts calling me names and proceeds to say he is going to fight my fiance. Who was completely out of it and didn’t say anything or know what was going on. I presented the problem to the VIP host Gigi and she tells me to get over it he’s a regular that he would never say that and spends a lot of money here. I drop it continue on with my night but the problematic regular starts having the girls at his table slam into me and his friends over run our table that we paid for just to be mean. Do not waste your money at this place. It was very disheartening and very poor service. Gigi is by far the worst VIP host I’ve ever encountered. SAVE YOUR MONEY and dodge this place!!!

The Bluestone venue is gorgeous, and the facilities are great! The only issue I have is that the venue isnt well-equipped to manage a large crowd. Filing patrons in and out takes far too long, and the venue itself gets claustrophobic very quickly. If you arent on the balcony or right next to the stage, you can forget ever being able to see the artist you paid to see.

The Bluestone is a beautiful event venue. It is an old church so their is beautiful stained glass everywhere. I attended Papadosio at the Bluestone on 12/30 and 12/31. The atmosphere was great, and youre in for a treat if youre seeing a concert here...sound is WAY clearer and better than in most mid-sized warehouse-y venues. The reason I cant give more than three stars is because the bar *on the designated VIP floor* did not serve water on 12/31, despite the fact that they had done so on 12/30. I dont care what the excuse is...if your space is hosting a concert, the bar needs to serve water, not just alcohol. People all around me on the VIP floor on 12/31 were complaining about how thirsty they were and how easily the situation could have been mitigated if the bar had served water as they had a mere 24 hours earlier. There was also the coat check...I was repeatedly told that the staff was looking for my coat despite it being obvious that they were not, and when they finally found it, the attendant looked at me with a dazed expression on his face, and said are you sure this is your coat? I know what my own stuff looks like, bud, so I dont know what youre trying to imply. When I replied that yes, it was indeed my coat, he said oh, I thought she gave it to you already. The Bluestone was a great experience overall, just a couple of kinks that stood out.

Went for the first time recently. Security was thorough but personable. Nothing seemed to be intrusive or unnecessary. Ive seen reviews about the high prices of drinks, but they seemed in line with most concert venues, maybe even a little less. I got a tall boy of PBR for $7. Before the concert I paid $7 for a pint of Buckeye Lake at a local bar so I didnt find the venue price unreasonable. Maybe the mix drinks are more out of line but I didnt have any so cant speak on it.The layout and sound was great. Being a little too old to be out on the main floor, I stayed at the rail between main floor and lower level bar. If you get too far back by the door the sound gets a little muffled and the bass takes over. Will definitely attend another show there.

I have been to many shows here and the music is great. The drinks are overpriced and they force you to leave your ID with your credit card if you want to open a tab. Bottled water is 5 dollars. All of that I could get over, however one bad experience can ruin a place for me. I was attending a concert last night and dropped my wallet upstairs at the end of the night. I tried to go back and look for it when some of the crowd cleared out but was greeted by a particularly rude bouncer who said I was not allowed to look for my item. this particular bouncer did end up using physical contact to try to remove me even though I was simply trying to find my lost item that would have taken all of 5 minutes. I am completely disgusted and appalled that they employ bouncers who think that physically grabbing a 130lb female is acceptable. it is actually illegal for bouncers to physically remove or throw someone out, and they are only allowed to use physical means if its self defense or breaking up a fight. if this ever happens again I will file an assault charge. Completely appalled and likely will not return. To top it off I have called today to check and see if they have my wallet, no one answers, no one calls back. Its sad to see how much its changed since a few years ago. I will not be returning and will not recommend this place to others
