We enjoyed our stay here. Rooms are clean, with very comfortable beds. The linens are crisp but not starched. This makes for a comfortable, zero rustle sleep. Carpets could use a bit of updating, but otherwise the hotel is really well maintained. We visited in COVID October and really appreciated the heated pools. The kids enjoyed outdoor swimming and fresh air and I appreciated not having to reserve the pool in advance.Pro tip: do upgrade to a room with a mountain view. In this case its worth it!

This resort shows its age and some areas are dated. Overall though its not a bad resort. They really try to upkeep with the place and staff is also super friendly and professional. Very nice views and lots of things to do not just at the resort but also close by. Good eating and lots of outdoorsy kind of things. Location is amazing. Room cleaning is also good. Except when they clean the room they dont put new plastic bag in the ice holder. Other than that its a good place to go with family. Unfortunately there is no adult section where you can get away from kids. We were woken up at 7 am from kids above us tearing down the place. But thats just bad parenting and not bad hotel staff.

We attended a marriage seminar here. It was a lovely time. The grounds are beautiful, the swimming options are varied and the mountain views are outstanding. I particularly love how many decks there are with ample seating.Get ready to see nature and all its creatures! We saw raccoons, deer, spiders(outside) and they were fearless! The room wasnt anything special. It seemed a little dated, but it suited the basic needs. The bed was comfy. The shower had good water pressure.I took one star off because the linens in our room were stained with what appeared to be period blood...eww.

The beds are very comfortable. Thats about the extent my compliments can achieve. No one was at the front desk when I arrived, for a good 3-5 minutes. In my book, its inexcusable to not have someone greet arriving guests. I had to peer over the frosted glass office door for someone to realize I needed help. I booked for a king bed, downgraded to 2 queens. No excuse provided except the system did it and I cant do anything In a pandemic? Youre fully booked? Arriving to the room, the attached pictures show just how dated the room was. Broken fan. Not carefully spackled over hook that has been broken off the door and picture off the wall. Bathtub drain filled within seconds of running the shower so risked overflowing of you reached probably a 5 minute shower. Great location/view and bed get a star each, but this should probably be a 1 star rating.

Spent new years here with my boyfriend and had a nice time. The resort was really nice, we didnt spend enough time here to check out all the amenities but the rooms were nice, staff was friendly, their shampoo smelled great!!! I had called 3 months in advance to ask about their new years plans and I was told there would be dinner and fireworks, hence why I booked in the first place. I was sad to find out the day of that there were no fireworks, only dinner and then by 11:30 everything was closed... We ordered room service for breakfast and their sweet potato hashbrown was amazing

I was visiting my nephew who is a freshman at Princeton. The location of the hotel is spectacular, a couple of blocks from campus and right in the middle of the main street.Staff was very friendly, the historic building is very well kept and my room was huge, clean and very comfortable. There is coffee and cookies at the lobby 24/7. This historic inn sets the tone for what youll see when you visit the campus. It was a great experience. Ill go back, hopefully soon

My girlfriends and I stayed their 3 weeks ago. Every single day the keys would not work to get into room, we had to go back up to the front desk and get new keys... it went on for 5 days. They need new doors and new system...ASAP!Also, they marketed the beautiful golf course and surroundings on their site , which it is, but I expected to be able to walk the golf course in the morning or on the grounds ... at golf course... there is no where to walk on actual property.... very disappointing! !!I didn’t want to walk the surrounding neighborhoods, we payed for the grounds and surrounding!Rooms very small and small bathrooms for 3 people...stains on carpet...

This is a nice resort with beautiful mountain views and lots of amenities. However, the complaints online are valid. Hotels have lots of challenges during this pandemic, but some of the issues could be fairly easily remedied. For instance, trash piling up in outside trash bins was an issue. With so many doing carry out instead of eating in restaurants, its easy to see why their small bins are overflowing. Its not because the grounds staff wasnt on top of it, because we did see them emptying them and cleaning up. The bins are just too small. But why not buy larger plastic outdoor bins to use during this time? Just a thought. Id like to give it four stars, but didnt like seeing those piles of trash. We enjoyed our night here due to the lovely grounds, ample outdoor seating on decks, very friendly employees, good parking, comfortable beds. Its a nice family/golf resort.

Breathe in the fresh air at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort Colorado Springs. Rooms are surrounded by a mountainscape and have picturesque views. Rooms also come with a private patio or balcony perfect for soaking up the views. For a relaxing massage, head to the spa that has a couple’s treatment room along with a private outdoor patio with a stone fireplace.Spend the afternoon playing golf at the hotel, or dine at one of the hotel’s signature restaurants. From hand-crafted cocktails to gourmet bites, the hotel has it all. Children will love splashing in the pool, playing a game of tennis, or hanging by the lake.Location: Just a short drive from the hotel is the Peterson Air Force Base, along with the Garden of the Gods. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum are nearby.

I do really enjoy this place. As a member of the county club this is a great place to visit and spend nights relaxing night. I did have some concerns with the attitude of a front desk rep when I addressed some minor problems with her, but after posting a review both the front desk manager and the country club manager were on top of fixing issues. I feel like this place is a good place to hang out and spend time with your friends, family, and coworkers. It’s a great treat for the whole family; and I enjoy rewarding my staff with trips here. I’m excited to see how this place functions at full capacity post-covid.

Stay was ok. The nicer restaurant was closed due to covid so we went to Gates Grill for dinner and the services was lacking. The food was ok but not worth the price. Our server didnt come by our table often and I waited through our entire dinner before he refilled my drink but instead of refilling it with the sprite I ordered he refilled it with water. We waited like another 15 minutes for the check. He never introduced himself and he was unfriendly. There was only 3 tables including us. The room was nice and the beds are super comfortable thats why Im at least giving 2 stars instead of one. During check in there was only one front desk agent and she was a bit rude with an attitude. She kept complaining how busy she was and how the phone wouldnt stop ringing. It took 25 minutes to finally get checked in. One of the valet guys came to help her with putting in a room service order and she complained to him too. It was just very unprofessional. During checking me in she was like make sure you access they wifi like this or youll be calling here at the front desk and Ill have to put you on hold and youll waste your time. She could have left that out completely. So all in all they stay wasnt that great. You could save the extra $100 and stay at motel for the same type of room and poor service.

When we first got here, our heat wasn’t working so our room was freezing! The person who came to fix it was extremely nice and personable. When we went to Gates Grille, a restaurant at the resort, the food was way over priced for the quality of it. It wasn’t terrible food, but it definitely wasn’t worth the expensive pricing. Lastly, we have people who are staying above us and can hear everything. We were woken up early to loud food steps pacing back and forth while loud creeks followed after. Overall the stay was ok, but we did not think it was “resort” quality.

This hotel/motel, in my opinion should not be classified as a resort. While the grounds are pretty and has nice views, the facility is old and outdated. We were so disappointed. The room was older and didn’t look like the pictures on the website. You could hear the people in the room above you, from footsteps, to the toilet flushing, to full on conversations. When we arrived I had to wipe down the door handles in the bathroom and an area of the door itself. There were clothes on the patio, left from the previous guest I suppose, which makes me believe that they didn’t clean the patio furniture when they cleaned the room. We were charged a $50 resort fee, even though the hot tubs are closed and it was too cold to use the pool. The grounds were well maintained and the views were pretty, but not worth the room rate.We will not return, especially during COVID times, as I believe their cleaning is not thorough enough.

Front desk was super nice though!! we switched rooms like 3 times cause the smell here (can’t describe it, not horrible not great.) and she didnt complain or anything she actually helped us! There was no remote in my room and I had to google how to turn on the tv and change channels cause it didn’t have any buttons on it and they couldn’t bring remotes til the following day. Also absolutely disgusting was period blood on the toilet that was failed to be cleaned. On top of everything the views here suck. I can’t help but feel I was scammed. I don’t even write reviews but this place does not need to be charging these prices for a basic hotel experience.

So last night was my first stay at this establishment which was also for my anniversary with my wife. Everything seemed kosher until we walked into our room.First problem was the drawer in the night stand. I opened it and the drawer fell out. The bracket stayed attached on the right but the bracket stayed attached to the drawer instead.I went out on the balcony, and let’s just say it hadn’t been touched in a while. There were cobwebs at almost every angle, both on the Hamilton rail and the floor, even had some on the ceiling as well. The worst part was the insulation that was exposed from what it looks like hail damage. There were 7 different areas where insulation was sticking out from under the wood. When I looked up, I noticed overspray of white paint. The caulking in the tub failed at more than 50% of the diameter of the tub, was cracked at places & the tile has begun to pop up almost an 1/8 of an inch. For dinner we chose to eat at the GateGrille on the property. Reservations were for 6pm but we arrived a little early. We were seated almost immediately which was nice as we wanted to have a drink before dinner. We ordered the fried pickles with sriracha sauce, and they were good, the sauce wasn’t overpowering either. My wife ordered the crab cakes dinner; which included mashed potatoes (tasty), and spicy Brussels sprouts (don’t eat em but wife enjoyed them). I ordered the Club Sandwich. The sandwich is good but I’d rather have thicker bread, but overall, it was good. I substituted onion rings for fries, crispy and flavorful, so checked that box. The biggest mistake of our meal is when my wife was served her Malbec in a dirty, sticky wine glass. It was replaced and we finished our meal, paid and left (tipped 18%).As we settled into the evening, we wanted to utilize the jet tub since we upgraded ($49 more), but to our disappointment the dial for the timer that operates the jet tub didn’t work, and Engineering came to our room, removed the dial and never returned to replace the dial. Some may not agree with this review but I feel wholeheartedly this property deserves the rating they earned. We’re talking house insulation exposed at a “Resort.” Someone could inhale that dangerous material.I spoke with management and explained that I would never come back. My personal recommendation is do not spend or waste your time and money here.

Our stay here was just fine, which normally would not elicit a review. However, I was so displeased with my check-in experience that I wanted to write something. My wife and I came here for our honeymoon, and when the front desk attendant asked why were there and we told him, he responded with the excitement I would expect if someone told me they just finished a round of golf. He then went immediately into an explanation of the resorts amenities at a pace that made it clear he just wanted to get this check-in over with and didnt care if we remembered the details. While we had no other complaints about our stay, this was not the ideal start to our honeymoon.

An amazing resort. Between golf, tennis, two pools, a beach with some kayaks, canoes, etc.....theres something for everyone. However, very disappointed with the food. Lots of walking just to get some breakfast by the golf course as the main restaurant isnt open. Theyre blaming Covid but, thats just a cop out. Even the food connected to the bar (Elevations) isnt up to par what youd expect from a 4 Star Resort. Bring your own food or eat out at some amazing restaurants near by like we did. I was so tremendously disappointed to go back to this resort and find that its quality has declined steeply since 2017. I stayed at the resort for my honeymoon in 2017 and loved it. Went 3 weeks ago and I felt like we were staying at a motel. The bedrooms trashcans did not have bags and were rusting and disgusting, the bathtub had a moldy edge, the towels were cheap. The A/C did not cool down either. We went to Gates Grille and they didnt have the chicken sliders. They used to give god owners complementary baggies and that was not present this time. The pool was in poor state and looked like a forlorn motel pool. The furniture in Elevations is old and dirty. No ambient music either. It was such an expensive disappointment. We are not going back.

I checked the “deluxe” rooms pictures online, they showed double sinks, yet we have the same small bathroom and counter space. Nothing about these rooms feels deluxe. Pros: the views are seriously amazing! The views make it cons worth it. The pools are wonderful and the lake is so cool. Kayaking and paddle boarding can be hard to actually do if it is busy, but once you actually get to do it you will love it. There are 3 little water slides that the kids absolutely loved. There is a little kiddie pool for the toddlers. The pool water is the perfect temperature. There is an adult only pool if the kids get too much in the other pools. The food at the club golf course is really good. The resorts other restaurant was closed due to COVID so I can’t comment on that restaurant. The golf course is really nice, but because it’s a country club you need to adhere to strict course dress code. (No big deal just wanted to throw that in.)Cons: Nobody really knows what they are talking about at the front desk. You get a different answer from everybody depending on who answers the phone. No housekeeping. You need to call for towels and to get the garbage dumped. In between levels is dangerous for toddlers because it’s at least a 10 foot drop between level 2 and 1 with no guard rails up.

I would not recommend this resort. At least, not until their COVID-19 procedures or restrictions are improved. Until they are ready to serve their customers they shouldnt be operating. Having no towel service or room cleaning isnt good business. Waiting a half day for an item like toilet paper is not okay. Trash outside the doors for hours is also not okay either. The level of service for the price of our stay was not acceptable in my opinion. There was no communication from management regarding any process changes and being told repeatedly, oh well thats not open, or the pool closes early now, or no we cant provide room service. Unless you are ready to offer a certain level of service and hospitality, dont open for business. I now realize from my initial interaction when we first arrived that that this is not a place I would chose to stay again.

I went through the bad reviews, just to see and Im not sure where some of these rooms are. I had a great time, didnt pay for a fancy view. There were a few things that I knocked off a star for.The room wasnt pristine, but nobody is perfect. Some dark stain on my sheets and some hair in the shower. The table outside clearly hadnt been wiped down in awhile. I was only staying for a night and it was a mom staycation so I wasnt too worried about it. I brought my own clorox wipes. The toilet was pretty low and the cord on the mirror was broken at the end.The stairs are pretty beat down outside. There were no doggie bags at the dog potty area by my room. It seems you have to go through the main hotel check in area to get to the rest of the resort which was A LOT of stairs. Yes you can use elevators but I like leaving those for people who need them.Other than that everything was amazing. The bed was so comfortable, the pillows were great if you like soft pillows. I got the best night of sleep Ive had in years. I couldnt get the room to go above 69 at night but thats not a big deal. Im from the desert so 69 is cold to me lol. TV was nice. There was a fridge that worked well, a microwave, safe, and a Keurig. I do wish they had more tea, there were 3 different coffee options and 1 tea. Nothing worth knocking down the stars for there though. Resort is huge, all pools are heated, and theres a part at the aquatics center that they call the beach. You just cant take your dog there, which is understandable but we couldnt leave our dog in the room since she has anxiety. The fee for the dogs is super cheap which was amazing. We were under the impression that we would have spectacular Mountain View’s for the extra fee but were disappointed to be facing the driving range (nothing like the photo). The hotel itself is in a nicer area but the area around it is ran down and somewhat scary. We did not feel safe venturing out at night. We were there for four nights and never had trash removed or clean towels without hunting someone down. We liked the private entrance with COVID-19 going around but the room was less than desirable. The lock stuck and was extremely difficult to push open, there was mold/mildew on ceiling and tile in the shower, A/C never got below 74 and we had a lot of bugs in the room (spiders, earwigs and ants). I talked to management and got a discount but I doubt we’ll return. Save your money and choose a clean hotel in a nice area.

Overall I was very happy with everything. My only regret was not being able to try the breakfast (which smelled amazing!) I wasnt happy about making a reservation for two rooms only to find out they didnt have them and had to pay $60 extra per room to stay. However the room was nice and everyone was very nice and helpful! The views were the best part for sure! Located close to shopping etc yet still comfy with a great view of the outdoors, and pet friendly is always a nice plus!

We paid 220 dollars for our room so I was expecting it to be great. We get in there and the furniture was moved around. A dresser door was broken. There was moths in the bed and over the floor. Kids were screaming outside the door. Then the power went out causing us to have to leave early(we have a special needs son with equipment that needs electricity). The view was great and the beds were comfortable, but all of the other stuff ruined it for us.

The pictures online are NOT accurate. This is a motel setup, you have to go outside to get to your room. The rooms are cheaply renovated and you can hear the people walking in the rooms above. Cheap towels they’re like sandpaper. Also there is no option to upgrade rooms.

I’m a little late...but I honestly love the staff here!!! They were amazing!!!So me and my husband & children were staying here for a few days while we were waiting on our house to get finished painted.... we were on the second floor...One of our last few nights, a couple and their dog and toddler check in to the room below us...At 7pm my autistic 2 yr old son was getting tired and cranky...he started to throw a fit stomped his feet two times before I got to home to comfort him and hold him....2 seconds later our floor shakes of someone slamming the door, banging on our door to rudely tell us we need to shut our child up...didn’t care to hear my apology or explain why my son was crying. A few minutes go by after my son settles and lays down..I walk outside to be threatened and harassed by the husband and wife approached and talked very dirty too...I called the front desk...and they were so sweet and helpful the lady that was working at the time kept me calm stayed on the phone with me....they were just awesome!! I suggested I would move to a first floor so nothing like that would happen again (even though I do not let the babies storm around or stay up past 930 pm) the manager called back and told me I absolutely did not have to move, she wanted to make sure me and my family were comfortable she moved the guest under me across the resort so we wouldn’t have no running ins....she also put the room under us out of order for the remaining of our stay....they were just very sweet!!!! Made sure we were comfortable and ok! I honestly love this hotel I refer it to all my friends and family....and I’m actually going to see about doing my wedding here the housekeepers and Whole entire staff was amazing thank y’all!

The pool was lovely and the staff was super friendly but the room was bland, generic and undecorated. The website shows upscale decor leading me to believe this was a luxury resort. The room was extremely disappointing. It was clean, and the linens and pillows were nice, but the curtains and walls were grey and there was nothing on them. The rooms shown on the site had beautiful headboards and colorful decor. It was like a clean version of Motel 6 with a good TV and I was very disappointed. I also was under the impression that this was more hotel/resort style than motel style with things so spread out around the grounds. Overall I just feel mislead by the website and would have stayed elsewhere had I known how misrepresented the property was. We came for a romantic, relaxing weekend just lounging in the room but it was just so blah and washed out that I hardly wanted to be in it. I had also looked forward to relaxing on the balcony with scenic views but the view of the parking lot below was hardly a view I wanted to revel in for any amount of time.

So we are actually still staying at the hotel room. Emily and I like the place but are VERY disappointed that there is 20 dollar charge for a microwave to be brought to your hotel room. No microwave available ANYWHERE WITHIN facility. Also, the kayak rental rep from Aug 27th around 4PM was ABSOLUTELY unprofessional and seemed like he hated working there. We couldnt get the rental because he was too lazy to get up or even talk us. Also, AC doesnt work that well. It doesnt get below 73 and it runs on and off for 5 mins. We had it set at 70 and it took all day to get down to 73

We had a really great time at this resort. If I could give 4.5 stars out of five I would. We stayed 3 nights with a Colorado resident promotion that took 40% off the price. At that price, even with the extra resort fee, we felt like we got a great value. We had a 14 year old, an almost 9 year old, and a 3 year old with us, which obviously shaped our experience. The RoomThe room was a nice standard American hotel room. I did appreciate that they used pumps for the soap and shampoo in the shower... Seems so much less wasteful than the old individual bottles. Our room had a balcony, and even if the view wasnt great, it was nice to have the place to sit and relax. The beds were comfy. I think the only complaint I have with the room design is that I do enjoy rooms where the sink is actually next to the bathroom (or there is an extra one there), so its a little less awkward to have multiple people using water. Thats a pretty small nit though. The TV was pretty big, and appeared to have the HDMI ports available, so we could have brought our small blu-ray player with us to watch movies. Our first room ended up having an air conditioner with a leaky condenser, so it dripped overnight and triggered my homeowner brain a bit (if youve ever dealt with water problems at home, you know what I mean). They moved us for our last night to a new room, which had a lovely view of the lake. It was a nice gesture. The amenitiesThe only amenities we used were the water features. We spent time at the beach of the lake, the large pool immediately adjacent to the lake, and the resort pool. All were pretty great. The one disappointment in those features was that its obvious that the lake shore is owned by a flock of geese. We didnt see any geese while we were there, but they had left a lot of evidence of their existence behind. I dont know if the resort rakes any of that up in the morning, but they might want to consider it. We built a couple of sand castles and tried to avoid the grosser areas. The water was not very clear next to the beach, but we are more pool people than lake people so we really cant say if it was normal or not.The pools were both excellent. They were obviously well chlorinated, and we all had a great time swimming. Because we stayed through Monday morning, we basically had the resort pool to ourselves on Sunday afternoon. Awesome!FoodWe didn’t eat much at the resort... The provided refrigerator was small but adequate for us to keep cold drinks inside. We did have some ice cream at the general store, and that was delicious!Local areaI was fully expecting the resort to be in a secluded spot, with no access to external food, but that was not the case. There was a grocery store very close, and we also picked up Jimmy Johns sandwiches and Little Caesars Pizza right next to the grocery store. A smaller Target store (limited groceries) was also fairly close, as well as a Noodles and Company, a Wendys, and a McDonalds. When feeding kids, the option to eat some cheap fun food is nice to have.Overall ExperienceWe had a great time. The only negative experiences we had related to the pinging air conditioning (we were told that someone would address it on the night we reported it, but they didnt show up until the next morning) and the epic amount of goose poop on the beach. There was a lot to do and a lot we never even got to, like the stand up paddle boards and the indoor pool and the spa, etc. At the discount price we received, it was a great deal. Im not sure if I would feel the same way at full price, but hopefully this review is helpful in determining if this is a good fit for you and your family.

I will absolutely never stay here again. I normally stay at Broadmoor but it was full. This Place is not even a upscale LaQuinta Hotel. Checked in two dogs. Had room on third floor and found out no elevator. Room is severely dated. Carpet disgusting. Bathroom so small I would not even shower. Took one hour after placing food order at restaurant. Spent $108 for hamburger, four drinks etc. This hotel is plainly disgusting from dated rooms to sorry food and drinks. And I paid over $300 for this nasty place. Going to write reviews every place I can find. Really bad bad bad Forgot. Water from bathroom sink is cloudy and smells. Had to get water for coffee pot from tub

The room was really hot. The ac didnt work correctly. Everything closed really early. I know theres restrictions, but its hard to check in at 4pm and get dinner, with their restaurants closed, so we had to go offsite and then return to do activities by 7 when they close. The website said the pool and things closed at 10pm, when we checked in it was suddenly earlier. The bar even closed really early.

Ive stayed at Cheyenne Mountain three times now, and enjoyed it immensely each time.People who work here are focused on customer service, and the resort features well-kept mountain craftsman-style construction in a beautiful setting, with great views in any direction. The food in the main restaurant and lounge is delicious, and theyve got a great selection of beer, wine, and spirits. My only complaint is that the main lounge closes too early sometimes. Im not sure if thats due to Colorado Springs city legislation or what. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.

Pros: Great views, great pool and lake, and Gates Grille had a tasty breakfast. Cons: The recent reno of lobby and rooms has killed the Colorado/ lodge feel and atmosphere. I have been coming to the resort for about ten years and it has no charm with their updated ( all white) decor. Piled up trash outside lodges, saw racoons at night/ litter in the AM. Due to Covid, I didn’t experience the best breakfast buffet I have ever had which is one of the two main reasons I stay at this resort, the other having been the charming rooms, which as another reviewer mentioned, looks like your typical motel, which is hitting the nail on the head.

I feel in love with this place base of the phone service I received from Kathleen, the front desk agent. She was amazing! She provided exceptional service and even went above and beyond her call. Then I spoke to her manager ( trying to get a hold of Kathleen) and explained to her and she Kathy ( front desk manager) again provided service that super exceeded my expectation. Everyone we encounter was phenomenal! The resort was beautiful and so much to do... oh the food was fantastic lol.

Beautiful resort!! The pools/lake access were incredible!! We were on bottom floor and the creaking from the room above is why I only can give 3 stars!! It was soooooo loud! Kept us up late and woke us early! When I spoke to front desk I did not get an I’m sorry but a thanks for letting me know. My advice if you chose to stay here is to request not to be on bottom floor.

Our family stayed here while we attended a conference in town. The good: the food was great; the golf course is challenging and beautiful (no two greens are alike); there are lots of different amenities to enjoy; the view is to die for. The meh: there was never more than one person at the check-in desk, so if you were four deep, you had to wait. The indoor pool was a quarter mile from the hotel, and closed at 7 PM, so in January, your only evening pool option was an outdoor pool. The breakfast buffet was unavailable for two of our three mornings. The odd: you could get regular breakfast potatoes for breakfast through room service, but you couldnt get them at the restaurant--you had to get sweet potato hash (cryptically named sweet potato buffalo hash, though there was no buffalo involved). No bell service, though there was a desk.
