So much fun!! Whether its for a group outing or just to throw some blades yourself, Bad Axe Throwing Co does not disappoint. I went with a group of women and we all had a blast. Michelle was our amazing coach and she was fantastic to work with and easy to learn from. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. Would be great for a bachelorette outing, date night, or cool thing to do when your friends are in town.

Awesome place. Went there for a bachelor party. They catered very well to us for the 2 hour block. The staff member and coach we had was awesome and taught us all the throws and trick throws so that beginners can do it.

Ive been here two times now. This place is a lot of fun. Good vibe, good drinks, good music, and good stress reliever most importantly. Perfect opportunity to showcase your skills if youre on a date or with friends. I like that they offer locally brewed adult beverages as opposed to things like Bud Light or Miller.

I had never been axe throwing before but I was so glad we came here! Mike was so awesome at showing us the ropes and made sure to keep checking on us. I will 100% be coming regularly! Thank you guys!

This is the best sport EVER!!! The fun is endless. We used bowling etiquette to throw our axes and we made a 10-round game out of it. It came out to being endless fun. The hostess was the most gracious she got all of the necessary papers signed, went over the game rules, instructed on how to throw an axe and let us have at it. What a wonderful way to spend an evening. We made the Bad Axe team.

Awesome place. Had a blast throwing axes at wood targets for a couple hours with some friends. Great service too. They have a staff member come through and coach you up when you get started and give pointers along the way as well as giving you a few different games you can play once everyone starts getting the hang of throwing the axe. This is something that pretty much anyone can do and have a blast with it. Im told it makes a great therapy session as well.

So fun. More of a workout than expected. Guy running the place was super chill and had a lot of great tips to get better. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I were in Colorado springs for our 6 yr anniversary. We were looking for something different to do. We stumbled upon Bad Axe throwing. as we went inside, right away, Mike the manager of this place greeted us. His customer service was steller. His knowledge and expertise of this type of activity was again, stellar. My wife and I walked out of there after one hour saying, we need to do this again. We really had great time. As there is a place like this where we live, were definitely going to do this again. Thank you Mike for a great time. We will be back next time we visit Colorado.

Great time with our families. Youngest was my daughter at 9. It took her a while to get an axe to stick, but the employee helped her until she got it. She was a great coach(wish I could recall her name)! We did a 2 hour session, and it was good, but a walk in would be my preferred going forward. Just a bit on the expensive side for us. If the cost does not put you off, definitely worth it!

My cousins bachelorette party was here on Saturday (7/25/2020) and it was so much fun. Im terrible with names but I believe it was Michelle who took care of us and she was so awesome! Super fun spot. When you get there, you have someone there to teach you how to throw the axes. Theyre friendly and patient, offering tips to help with your technique. They have multiple lanes and can take large groups or parties. They have a bar with drink limits for safety. Once you get your technique down, there are different games you can play to keep it interesting like cricket or tick-tack-toe. Highly recommended.

I took my boyfriend and his friends here for his birthday. When you book a lane they give you a coach that teaches you safety, games, and cool tricks. We got the lane, which consists of two targets, for two hours, and the coach stayed with us the whole time. They have a cool axe throne that you can take pictures on and an axe to cut the birthday cake with. You can bring your own food and drinks (non-alcoholic) with you if you choose. This place was super cool and a lot of fun.

This place is so awesome! I had been waiting forever to finally go check the place out. It made for a great first day spot. When you show up, the staff is incredibly friendly and sets you up for success. They take time to make sure you know what you are doing and are able to get the hang of it. I was surprised on how easy it actually was to pick up and start nailing it. I definitely need to go again!

We were very surprised how much fun we had Axe throwing. We walked in and were immediately greeted by our host who helped to instruct us on how to throw axes, offered to get drinks from the bar for us, and coached us throughout the two hour session. As time went on we were able to learn different moves and ways of throwing the axe.I would suggest to the owner to install better ventilation as it started to get very warm inside. Also, I think that the price is high for what the activity is ($160 for four people for 2 hours); I bought a Groupon which helped with the cost.Besides the cost and lack of ventilation we had a great time and appreciated the friendly attitude of the host.

It was a blast throwing axes. The coach was very instructive of how to improve your throwing. O really had a lot of fun. Also played 2 different style of games which were a lot of fun. There are several ways to throw the axes.

The coolest thing I have done in a while. Wanted a night out for our friends birthday. Were going to go bowling or laser tag... something fun. Had plans and then my friend said what about axe throwing. I agreed because I knew the guys would have fun and that makes me have fun. I HAD SO MUCH FUN! I was wearing 4 inch heels and was a little nervous but this was the best night I have had in a very long time!

My husband and I went here for date night and it was such a fun and badass experience. I dont think Ive laughed that hard in a long time and its a great outlet for all ages. The staff are great and super helpful! I love the fact they only serve craft beer here. It gives you the opportunity to try something new! They also have non-alcoholic beverages as well. Overall it was an awesome experience and were already looking forward to our next visit!!

We went here for my boyfriends birthday celebration. It was our first time in and we had a blast. We will definitely be back, maybe just not as often as we would like because it is kind of expensive. The only reason I cant give a five star review is because my boyfriends dad joined us a half hour in, they got him registered to play with us and everything, paid for a full hour, but wouldnt let him throw for a full hour. Nor did they communicate to us while he was registering that this would be the case. The lack of communication is frustrating considering how expensive this is! But I can definitely justify the other four stars given how unique and fun this is! They did a great job of making everyone feel comfortable and confident throwing the axes. I left throwing like a badaxe for sure!

WOW!!! We had such a FUN date night out at Bad Axe Throwing (Colorado Springs) this weekend. Who knew I’d be so “bad axe” at it . Such a cool place and the coaches were super awesome and helpful. We WILL definitely be going back and taking people. Everyone should try axe throwing in their life. Great place and I highly recommend going here!!!

This was my first time throwing an ax and first time at Bad Axe Throwing. Our host was Mike and things couldnt have been better. His training was excellent and thorough. His excitement for ax throwing made our time there very enjoyable. We left wanting to come back again. We may even join a league.

The experiance was well worth the cost. Our coach Anna-lisa was really friendly, and on top of that she was able to get all 4 of us sticking all kindsa axes in just 2 hours!

I have been dying to try axe throwing and this place was so much fun! It was a great time out with the girls and Michelle was an amazing coach. Anytime we struggled to get the axe to stick she was right there helping us figure out the holds. I would 100% go back when Michelle is working!

This place is great. Been here a couple of times, recently came by myself just to get some practice in, Ally and James took it upon themselves to teach me new trick shots and improve on techniques I had been previously struggling with. Very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. I tell all my friends that we need to get together here for a great time.

Literally the worst customer service I have ever received. I did a last minute booking and didnt see anywhere that it was non refundable. I tried to cancel after paying an exorbitant $80 FOR A DEPOSIT, just to find out I need 4 people minimum. Then I couldnt find anyone who wanted to go because of COVID 19 so I tried to cancel and spent 40 minutes trying to beg for a refund just to hear its policy a thousand times by extremely rude associates. Honestly we will NEVER EVER use this place again and I pray they go out of business.

They have a novel activity, are pro local business and are run by good friendly people. Its definitely not a bar, they do serve beer and wine with a three drink limit for anyone throwing axes. So it is much safer than you would expect.

This was my first axe throwing experience and it was a BLAST! We had such a fun time just trying to get the axe to stick to the board. The staff was phenomenal and even offered to show us tricks or games to play. We will definitely be back!

This place was awesome! The staff was friendly, helpful, and so fun. They have tons of targets and axes, so we didnt have to wait or feel crowded. We love doing something different! Will definitely go again.

First time at this location. We were a walk-in group and the wait was not very long. The price point isnt bad either for the time alloted. The instructor was amazingly helpful and pleasant, very nice and approachable. Had a fun time here and would come back in a heart beat. They do have a small selection of local beers and wines available, giant jenga, checkers and a few other games to play while you wait to throw your axes or to play while hanging out. Good spot to come to try your hand at axe throwing.

The thrill wears off in about 10 minutes. We had a really weird experience with a staff member. I think for the amount that we spent that I would rather go to like overdrive for a thrill and like bowling for a relax and chill environment. Initially started fun but the experience we had a with a staff member totally destroyed the way I felt about the whole experience.

This made for a great outing with friends - the venue is not too far from other attractions like Cogstone Brewing, as well. Walk-in hours worked out, and getting all of us (a group of about 5 novices) into playing took less than 10 minutes. The owner took time to give us safety tips, a demo, and even some hands-on instruction when there was the occasional downtime. There was also a limited amount of alcohol onsite available to buy (sale quantity capped, for the obvious safety reasons, but I thought to mention this because other sites hint at there being no alcohol on premises - this was not the case). Very well organized, plenty of safety caging, and enough enthusiasm among players to make it more exciting than darts or billiards.

This place is so much fun! We went on a Saturday night and they were pretty busy. So we had beers while we waited and played huge connect four. When we actually got to throw the axes it was so much fun. The coaches on that team are very friendly and helpful. I will be going back for more!

Fantastic time. Our group was a bunch of beginners and while we didnt sink the axe into the wood each time. All the throwers of the group stuck a few bullseye. The directions were great and very encouraging staff. Even the people next to us who werent getting many on target were having a good time.

Only reason I docked a star was because they were out of water to sell and I personally think they need snacks, chip and salsa at the least. Otherwise I love this place, and I plan to go every week as like a therapy/workout session haha, but seriously if you are thinking this is out of your comfort zone or you cant do it, if you can hold the axe you can throw the axe, skill builds, and beer helps. You can do it, and you will be glad you did, so much fun.

My husband and I had a great time! The tutorial was fun and gave all the necessary information to ensure we were safe and enjoyed our time. I would recommend wearing sneakers or flats (I was in heels) and non-restrictive clothing (I did not) in order to have the most amazing experience possible. We will definitely be back!

Two of my girlfriends and I had some plans cancelled and decided we needed something else fun to fill the day. Having never been to any axe throwing places we found Bad Axe Throwing and said why not. We were walk-ins andwere greeted warmly, given a walk through of how to properly throw an axe, grabbed a beer, and went to town on the target. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful--answering any questions we had and offering to teach us games. We were there during league play, and one of the gentlemen even let us throw some of his personal axes. One of which was double edged (which was super cool in itself). We will surely be back and will be bringing friends!

A great place to get out any anger! Once you feel comfortable hitting the target, you can make a competition with scoring. There is also a league available!

Went with my family for my birthday - had a blast. Personal coach who taught us technique and trick throws. Brought in our dinner with us. Different weights of axes you can through, scoreboard to play axe cricket. You get in free for your birthday!

Excellent place to stop and get some aggression out while testing your skills with an axe. The crew at Colorado Springs, Ali, Aaron, Cub, etc. are very friendly and great at explaining how to throw along with how to do it safely. A great place for a company party, kid friendly (and safe), or you and a couple friends to hang out, have a beer and throw some steel.

It was really fun and hard at the same time but mostly fun. When you get it in the middle it makes you feel so good. And I wasnt very sore the day after. Totally would recommend it .

Fantastic fun! The Colorado Springs location staff are awesome. They are super fun, give great instruction and safety oriented so everyone will have a great time.

We had a small group for my husband’s birthday. The staff (particularly Cub, our guy) were so helpful and engaging. He gave us great instruction. There were lots of laughs, and lots of successful throwing! We were able to bring snacks. Our youngest participant was 7, and had as much much as the grownups. I highly recommend this for a fun and memorable event!

Something new, something fun, and craft beer. We had an amazing experience because of courteous staff coaching us, and the excitement of hitting bulls eyes, and the competitive environment. We will definitely do this again.

First time axe throwing and we will definitely be back! Wish you got a little longer than an hour for $20 per person but I’m sure they have to offset the costs of all the wood they go through so I understand. It would be super awesome if they had memberships where you could pay monthly and play often. They do have a weekly league which is awesome but I work that day of course lol Hope to go back soon! Feel like I am prepared to play at the renaissance festival now this year if the weather ever improves!

He was very cheerful and helpful, and gave us lots of advice and encouragement. We were having fun and hitting the bullseye in no time! A very unique and fun experience. Highly recommend!

Took my husband here for a date night and we had fun. Definitely would be even more fun with a small group of people! He only wanted to stay 30 minutes though because it was hot in there, the guys next to us were super loud and you can only do so many different throws for awhile before it gets a little boring. His arms also started to hurt from the mini workout lol Still had fun and would recommend it!

It was a good time. Quite a bit of fun, and I left with all my fingers! Oh, and they remained attached to my hands!

So. Much. Fun. We made a reservation and were supposed to have a coach at our lane. They were short coaches so we shared the coach with the lane next to us. There were plenty of employees rotating around that it didn’t seem like we missed out because of that. The coach set us up with a few games and was still super attentive. Will definitely be going back soon! Will definitely be suggesting this to friends!
