This is hands down the most amazing team!! The skills and the heart they have are awesome!!Being able to dance for the Denver Nuggets and hosting lives with the local news station obviously says something about this team. Joseph and Stephanie are truly an inspiration. The dedication they have to do what they do and the heart that they show you and the life song they live cannot be replaced by other dance studios. They are one of a kind! You will not be disappointed. J&J hip hop is more than a dance studio. We are family!!

So i’ve been going to J&J for about 4 years now and i love this place so much! the people and instructors are just beautiful inside and out. they’ve stuck with me and helped me improve SO much. this is my second home and i’ve made an amazing family here. i highly recommend this place to anyone who wants real street hip hop and so many other classes. it’s such a comfortable place to be yourself and you’re able to connect with everyone which makes the dance experience a whole lot better. this place has really helped me grow as a dancer and a person! they aren’t competitive like some other studios or judgmental at all. sometimes it can be scary to dance in front of others especially if you’re a beginner because you could feel like you’re being judged or you’re not good enough. but the instructors are super patient and caring and they do anything to help. they’ve helped me boost my confidence a ton. they’re very passionate and amazing at what they do. i love it here and i’m sure anyone else would too!

As someone that has danced and trained in multiple dance studios around Colorado Springs, this studio was BY FAR the best one I have ever danced in. I LOVE the atmosphere and the people I dance with. There is ONLY encouragement and love. There is no tolerance for competition or judgment. The standards are high regarding appropriate music with only good, uplifting messages. The instructors are patient and passionate about what they do. They make you feel welcome and at home. J and J Hip Hop Studios stands firm in their morals and passion to help people to let go of pain, depression, anxiety and stress through dancing. Couldn’t recommend this studio more for anyone with an interest to learn how to dance, including adults. ️

My kids have been dancing with J and J Hip Hop Dance and Performing Arts for 4 1/2 years now. I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience! This studio is not just about dance instruction, but learning self-confidence, tapping into emotion through dance, teamwork, friendships, and belonging. J&J is my teenage daughters happy place and second home. The price is very reasonable compared to other studios in town. It is a safe invirment and all around a positive place. It is a good workout to and helps to stay in shape. I am a student there and have been dancing there for 6 years.

I have been ministered to in such a powerful way with this great ministry. What a talented group of dancers. I have felt the anointing and a touch from God when they perform.

Remove all thing of me. Never speak my name. Never talk about me. I am a previous dance instructor. I gave them my two weeks notice. Lack of genuine compassion and any common sense. Very egotistical with an unhealthy environment. Unprofessional and witnessed very sick behaviors from the male leaders. Very misogynistic, judgemental, and bussnisess vision very twisted around.

Super positive and fun environment!!! My kids consider this their second family. Multiple opportunities to showcase for family and the public every year, including Harlem Globetrotters and Denver Nuggets half time shows. Opportunities to move up from beginner to advanced. Any skill level. Can’t say enough good things!

Great school with a positive atmosphere and message. Feels more like family than a business and so glad my daughter had an opportunity to dance, learn and teach.

We love being a part of the J&J family because it is just that, a family. Joseph and Stephanie are amazing people with genuine hearts of gold, and they do so much for the community and us. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with J&J. The Cantus care about each student as an individual, and I have seen many kids develop not only as dancers, but as people, throughout the years. Kids learn not just dance, but confidence, discipline, respect, and other important qualities for being a good and kind human. It is also obvious how much the students love being there, which I think is a huge testament to what they are doing. The Adult class has also been a great way to get in a cardio workout and have fun learning something new—an absolute blast!

Just spent 300 dollars on dance fees, t-shirt, uniform and tickets for my daughter to dance at half time of the Harlem Globetrotters. They were so unorganized that she got pushed out of the way and didnt get to dance while other kids were out there 4 or 5 times. This place will nickle and dime you every chance they get and only worry about the owners kids being seen.

The experiences from some of the other posters giving negative comments doesnt reflect my experiences at J&J. Everything they stand for is about the kids and being the best family organization they can be.Things happen in life and not everything is in our control, but if mistakes happen theyre the first to try and fix it.This is the environment I would want my kids to be part of. Glad to be associated with them. Look forward to their continued growth and decades more of excellent dance education with them.

Awesome company, the owners, and instructors work VERY hard day in and day out. Any negative reviews thats written on here is just ludacris they work hard to make the company enjoyable for all the students young and young at heart.

My son has really enjoyed the beginners hip hop dance class here. Everyone is very nice and encouraging and the class fosters an overall community of support.

My kids went to a birthday party here and they wont stop talking about it. I even had fun dancing and learning some new moves. Great atmosphere and awesome staff.

I would recommend this dance company to anyone! They are great!! Both owners are an inspiration to so many of the kids and adults that come through their doors. They really do go out of their way to help and accommodate everyone. While my son wasnt there long, he really enjoyed himself and I was impressed with how great they are with the kids. Pastor J is really hands on with the kids and the motto if one friend doesnt have it yet then they all do it again is great! No one is pointed out. Stephanie, is an amazing woman as well, without her J & J just wouldnt be the same! While my kiddo no longer goes to dance, I will definitely support this business in any way I can! Thank you so much Joseph and Stephanie for making my son feel so great about being there and learning a new skill while worshiping God! You can feel the love in that building. I love the theater and hip hop

I take hip hop dance lessons here and it is amazing. Everyone you meet treats you like family and the atmosphere is filled with love. I would definitely recommend signing your child or even yourself up because there are also adult classes! :)

My daughter has been attending J&J for 2 years and she loves it! The instructors are knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely care about the kids. The owners have huge hearts and are always helpful and available to answer any questions. The price is the most reasonable around for a quality dance studio. When they have recitals they choose costume items that can be found at almost any store to keep the costs down. Wonderful positive studio!

Absolutely love coming here! My kiddo attends the break dancing class and I attend the adult hip hop. Such a friendly environment and both owners really put their love, time, and effort into the kids and their families. Highly recommended!!

This is a great place for kids of all ages to learn about various types of modern dance. The owners genuinely care about their students and are trying to positively impact young lives. They offer events, parties, and public performances (such as last years holiday dinner banquet, complete with awards). And the kids really enjoy it!

My granddaughter has been a student of this incredibly positive dance company for the last 2.5 years. We consider the Cantus, instructors, and students our second family. The classes are always up- lifting and encouraging. The students are welcome to make suggestions regarding choreographing. No one is ever made to feel less than. We are blessed to have J and J Hip Hop in our lives. We are proud to be a small part of this up and coming company.

My daughter has been with J&J Hip Hop for almost a year now, and has grown and come out of her shell. The Cantus are an amazing family, I sincerely admire their passion for what they do. The classes are affordable, times offered are reasonable, and the environment is welcoming. The recital that was held back in June was an awesome production that was put together, and lots of effort and dedication went into it. Very affordable options for video, photography, as well for the costumes. I dont see one class where one student is focused on over another, each kid gets their time to shine in the classroom and are encouraged to freestyle their own flava. Being a dance instructor myself, I can understand the closed classroom environment and how it is beneficial, as to allowing the kids to be more open and a bit more focused when they dont have what feels like a million eyes on them. However, that is every other week, with parents being welcomed during the open classroom weeks. I very much so recommend this company to anyone, from children to adults, to check J&J Hip Hop out. Positive music is only played and positive messages, no cuss words within the music, and no mainstream negativity that most hip hop is known for.

Have two children in their classes and they play only positive (no cursing) music. We also participated in the recital and it went great. Yes, no photos or videos allowed but that was not a big deal because you could still purchase professional pictures for very cheap and thats usually how recitals go anyways. Costumes were affordable and could be purchased at Target and this is also cheap in comparison to ballet/tap/jazz costumes which are $50-$100 per costume!! The cost is also very affordable when you compare to other dance studios around the area. Joseph and Stephanie are very nice and professional and we will continue the kids hip hop classes here!

My son joined about a month and a half ago... This past Sunday J&J put on an awesome recital for all of their students, it was a great show and a lot of effort and coordination took place to be able to pull it all off. My son wants to continue, and I love that their is so much positive encouragement for the youth that attends the classes, it is nice to have my son in that environment to develop core skills for his life.

My son loves j and j hip hop. We also love the positive rap music they dance to! They are very skilled at what they do! Also we do things as a family (cookouts, banquets etc..). J and J Hip Hop is a blessing to this generation!!!

I have been in J and J for going on 4 years now. I loved it from the begging. I only thought that it was a normal dance company. Later on when I grew older I realized that it was a christian hip hop company. The company changed my life. The teachers are inviting, and genuinely caring and thoughtful for every student. It is one of the most friendly environments I have ever been in. If it were not for the founders son, Antonio Cantu to get me into this (and some motherly encouragement), I would not be inspiring the world like we are today. I am completely disgusted with this company. I have 4 kids in there classes and at first it was great, other than the fact that I had to take them to practice different days. After the first few classes we were told that they dont want the parents watch there practice because of distractions. So they taped paper on all the windows and kicked us out. Than our kids go to practice between 30 to 45 minutes a week and us not knowing there routine could not help them. So they decide to have a hip hop recital that now we have to buy all the kids uniforms and pay for entrance. During the recital we are told no photos or videos because they have a professional and we will have to by the pictures and videos. Me being an American did not listen because I know I have constitutional rights ( That I have fought for) given to me and protected by the constitution and the bill of rights. But I was harassed multiple times by there company threating that I will be kicked out by there security. So the owner has a 13 year old kid in a Christion hip hop crew and the hole show was about them. We had to sit and listen to there performance multiple times through out the night. The worst part is that they were in just about every performance and the parents kids did not matter to him. And to top it all off the owner stool the spotlight from one of the groups, he was the main focus with all the kids holding on to chains he was in and that was the hole performance. This hole company is un moral and just trying to extort money from all the parents while the show is for his kids and there 13 year old hip hop crew. I would not recommend this company to anyone. There are better hip hop dance classes out there.
