One of Colorado Spring’s best boutique resorts, there’s plenty at The Lodge at Flying Horse – from comfortable accommodation to an extensive range of amenities. Rooms are spacious and feature an oversized shower with a rain showerhead. If you’re looking for something more luxurious, the villas have incredible views and come with fireplaces and private terraces.Dine at The Steakhouse for picturesque views as you enjoy fresh seafood along with prime steaks and chops. There’s plenty to do at the resort, from taking a refreshing dip at the swimming pool to playing some outdoor tennis and pickleball. The resort even has virtual fitness classes along with spa services and golf lessons.Location: A short drive away are the Garden of the Gods and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Fox Run Regional Park and Pikes Peak Cog Railway are close to the lodge.

We had our labor day week in Colorado and stayed at The Lodge Flying Horse (2nd floor). The view is not the same as depicted online. Their “‘mountain view” room is in front of a parking lot and mountains miles away from the location. You will not see the mountains much. The service is okay, but be mindful that every room service - they will charge you $30 and we did not know about that. The room is a little outdated. The location is at least 35mins from the main attractions and at least an hour 30mins away from Rocky mountains etc. Not really the ideal location if you would like to see places. This place is more for like Golfers and people who stay in Colorado for pool and spa. The check-in took a while. The check-out process was quick. Room service staff is professional. The main concern is the cleanliness. Housekeeping staff just walked in with shoes on, no masks nor gloves. When we checked in, the body wash was empty so we had to call and request. The tissue roll was used. The conditioner bottle was broken. Housekeeping staff were UNSANITARY and THIS IS NOT A CLEAN PLACE DURING COVID-19. We will never recommend.

I have been trying to reach Expedia since Monday, March 16th. Everything at this hotel had to be shut down. The restaurants were closed. The Spa had to be shut down. Tuesday it was raining and then began to snow. I have tried to contact someone, anyone who could help me get a refund. My sister and I left, checked out, Tuesday, March 17th because all we were doing was sitting in the room. Is there a way someone can help me with this? All calls I made kept saying your system was down.

The carpet was a little stained, the mini frig made a horrible noise during the night and then died and the toilet wouldn’t fill with water and we had to open up the back to fix it, because after a long day out we couldn’t wait for someone to show up. The room was a little on the small side for the price, but the bathroom was large and the shower was huge with good pressure and two showers heads with one being an over head. The pools needed reservations, which we thought was for social spacing until we showed up to an over crowded area. You need to travel through the surrounding neighborhoods to come and go, so it not super convenient, but not to bad. It’s quiet and we did see a quite a few deer and bunnies. The staff was kind and extra towels didn’t take long.

We did not use the property amenities because we spent all our time hiking, rafting, zip lining. I would recommend anyone to stay at the lodge. Visit Paint Mines, it’s only 45 mins of drive from the property but it was one of our favorite places.

We stayed here a couple of months back and were lucky enough to stay in a suite they called the Redford Suite. This place is gorgeous the grounds themselves are amazing. It is tucked back in a very nice neighborhood in Colorado Springs and had a definite wow factor when we pulled up. The room was extremely nice fireplace in the bedroom and in the foyer that was provided with the suite. There was a huge jet tub and a multiple head shower. The balcony was beautiful as well it looked out over a hole of the golf course and a beautiful view of the mountains. The foyer was huge had a huge table, big couch, sink, small refrigerator and plenty of seating! The room and the foyer were separated by a keyed entry giving a nice feel and complimenting the sheer size of this suite! I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unique experience!

We had a lot of out-of-town guests coming for our daughters wedding (January 2019). The staff at Flying Horse Lodge were amazing through all the planning, which made the wedding weekend run so smoothly for everyone. The front desk had a schedule of events and could answer questions guests might have. The rooms were comfortable and guests loved having access to the athletic facility. It was almost as if we had a destination wedding! The next time we have a big event (e.g. family reunion), I would definitely reserve a block of rooms with The Lodge again!

We had a magical time, like a fairy tale really. Upon arrival at the security gate they asked for our name and then just moments later upon driving up to the valet we were greeted by name and welcomed. At check-in, we were served right away, no wait, and warmly welcomed with a smile and with our name. We were given a map of the facilities and helpful directions and explanations to make our stay extra pleasant. The Villa was absolutely beautiful. It was very large with excellent finishes. The views were so gorgeous! We walked over to the Steakhouse Bar for a glass of wine and again were very warmly greeted. Later, after dressing for dinner we returned to the Steakhouse and again were greeted and offered a beautiful table. Spencer was so nice! Service was very good and dinner was delicious. They even offered warm towels to wash our hands after eating! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, the outdoor fireplace and the Villa. Prior to departure we had a lovely breakfast and enjoyed a walk around the grounds. Sweet memories, thank you!

BED BUG ALERT*** Its a shame that I found a bug in our bed alive and crawling. It 100% resembled a bed bug. Adrien an older woman working there did nothing to reassure or help us, didnt even apologize or offer to change sheets or look for more. Absolutely appalling for the rate that was paid. Even after the fact no one called us to tell what the post company said and they would not let us have pictures, probably because it was a bed bug. Adrien tried to blame it as a tick which is very distinct looking and asked if we had been outside and hiking, to which we havent. Lets face it this place has bed bugs, at least in room 218.

After many hours of searching for the perfect place to stay for our wedding reception, we booked a corner executive suite with mountain views. I booked it online by selecting mountain view and then called to confirm the reservation. On the phone I confirmed with the front desk that we would have the mountain views, and let them know it was very important as it was for our wedding. I specifically didnt want to look at the golf course which is why this was so important to me. I made the reservation many months in advance of our stay. When we arrived we were given a room with a terrible view, just a patch of dried up grass and part of the golf course but not a mountain in sight. When we talked to the front desk about it, they said the best they could do for us is a smaller room which overlooks a noisy parking lot and although it does have a mountain view, it looks nothing like the views advertised on their website. The manager and staff who helped us were trying to be overly nice but it came across as very fake and like they just wanted to get us out of their hair. they did not really seem to care about our situation and dumped us off in the downgraded room without hesitation. The room we ended up with was not even worth a fraction of the price we paid and we wish we would have stayed somewhere else. To top it off, our keys werent programmed right so we had to fuss with that too which took quite awhile because they had to replace the batteries on the lock. I would not recommend this place to anyone and we are highly disappointed. I feel very mislead and would not have booked this if I knew what it would actually turn out to be.

We stayed for 5 nights. The reserveing the room process was really confusing and we eventually got a room but we had thought we had reserved a room with 2 beds but we only got 1 but the staff was really nice and brought a extra fold up one for us which was a little uncomfortable. But I could live with it. The hotel food had no flavor the toast was burnt but it filed us for the day and the drinks where great. The view was of half the mountains half men playing golf. The cleaning people where extremely nice and did a good job at cleaning. It provided us with a place to sleep and food to eat so 4 stars.

The property and rooms were new and immaculately clean. Our room was large and overlooked the golf course. I liked the extra large shower, Rocky Mountain Tuscan decor, and comfortable bed. Two nights in a row loud people were running in the hall, shouting, and slamming doors until 11pm. This really bothered my wife. I called the front desk when it happened, and it eventually stopped each time, but the mood was tainted. When we checked out, the staff was mostly unsympathetic about the noise. Overall, it a poor value for a special anniversary trip. I could do better elswhere at upscale price.

We booked an executive king suite at The Lodge for our wedding. We searched many hotels in the area, looking for something special and really nice for our special day. We ended up deciding on The Lodge on the condition that we could get one of the mountain view rooms advertised on the website, as opposed to a golf course view (my fiancé hates golf). We booked the mountain view executive suite. The pictures of the room and amazing mountain views looked beautiful, and we were excited for our stay. When the day arrived, we checked in, eager to relax. We got to our room, and looked out to a view of the golf course and a dry, weed covered hill. We were disappointed to say the least. We thought after booking months in advance, and stressing to them that this was for an incredibly special day (our wedding) that we would be able to get the mountain view suite. We called the front desk, and the woman working there said that the mountain view was just a request and that they didnt have one avaliable, even though we booked months in advance. We felt mislead, because we had confirmed multiple tiles via phone that we would be able to get the mountain views suite. We went to the front desk and explained our situation to the manager. She was very polite, but could only offer us a downgraded room on the mountain view side, which we were disappointed to discover overlooked a noisy parking lot. The keys didnt work for our downgraded rooms multiple times to the point that they had to send maintanance guy up to fix it, a process that took over an hour of our time.We felt that the website was misleading about what the mountain views, what the rooms would be like. We were extremely disappointed that either the hotel forgot that this was our special day and booked someone else into the rooms we requested, or they disregarded our request. The rooms were nice, but not worth $350 a night, and we felt like after letting us down, the staff didnt try very hard or go out of their way to remedy the situation. We would not stay here again and wouldnt recommend this hotel. Very disappointed
