Pine Creek is a good course.. not a great course. The layout is awesome with some brilliantly designed holes. However, the conditions are always a worn. It might be the dry climate Co Springs gets but that doesnt change the fact. Way over priced as well. We used to play her for $40 a round...what happened? No improvements have been made to the facilities. There are better courses nearby that will be a better option.

If you havent played here before, you better get the course book. There are several holes where you have to be perfect just to see the green. Otherwise I liked most of the layout. I also didnt like the par 5 with the 10 yard wide fairway. It was in typical muni shape. Probably wont be back.

I played my first round of golf since January and it was at Pine Creek. This place is a well-hidden secret. It doesnt stand out on Google Maps but I recommend you just Google it and make your way there. Solid safety plans in place. You check in at a slide window to the golf shop. Arrows on the floor to guide you straight ahead to your golf cart or back to the parking lot. The course is one of my new favorites. I love the elevation changes. Fun to drive from tees 100 or so above the fairway. With the rain this summer the grass and greens are in great shape. The greens are a little faster than most public courses and very predictable. Its good prep for those special outings to the high end PGA Tour courses. Congrats to the team there.

Interesting take. I only had a chance to use the chipping and putting green.Rolling *fast*. Definitely an 11.5-12.Would love to come back and play.4/5 due to the putting green. Wasn’t the best practice facility. For how fast those greens are rolling I would have loved to see a larger area with more options to practice.Got a bit rained out.Someone there wasn’t so friendly to me. So that didn’t help with my experience. Guys in the pro shop seemed nice.

I wanted to give Pine Creek a good review, but I cant. The course was in terrible shape, lots of dead spots, lots of under repair spots in the middle of the fairways if not just straight up dead spots, for a course that wants $79 a round there are plenty of places in COS I can go to that are in much better shape. Also didnt help that on a holiday we didnt see the cart for the entire front 9. The marshals werent maintaining times, we were waiting on almost all tee boxes for 5-10 minutes before we could tee. Doubtful Ill or anyone in my foresome will be back

Booked through the Tee Off app. Was told on arrival that we weren’t in the system despite having a confirmation in email, and thought the app. Was told if we wanted to wait almost four hours we could play then. If you’re not going to stand by a third party site and honor reservations... don’t use it. I should have known that this course was going to be a disaster after reading all of the other 1 star reviews. Book a round anywhere else. You’ll be glad you did.

Played here many times over the last 20 years but never again. Played Sunday and had to wait every hole it was so backed up. The starter told us before teeing off the group in front of us was playing a best ball so may take some time. Had one of our guys no-show and they charged card full price. Never had them do that before. Act like the are an upscale course but just average. James Pennington.

Im sorry but as a golf pro the customer service here is terrible. I have worked in the industry for years and after being paired with 2 other golfers who I was told was doing 18 so I paid for 18 holes only was doing 9 holes. When I got to the 10th tee I saw 2 groups of foursomes waiting, 1 foursome on the fairway and 1 foursome on the green. I went to the window since the club house is closed and asked for a rain check. They said they only give them if they it is raining. That is the worst way to keep clients coming back. I am appalled at how they handled this. I called the head pro and he isnt in today so Im waiting on his call back and will either change this review or make it even more well known how bad they are at treating people who pay over $60 to play golf in October.

I will never play this course because the management is garbage. They now will not let you practice putting unless you have a tee time. You can only get better at golf by practicing. They have eliminated that option. How does this help promote the sport? I have spent hundreds of dollars at this course, but not anymore. I will never set foot on this property. Hope they fire the idiot in charge before he totally ruins the place.

This is the worst golf club of all time. We had a group of 8, 4 riders and 4 golfers. Even though we followed every rule and kept the riders separate from the golfers, we were constantly accused of having 8 golfers. We were eventually kicked off the course for breaking no rules. The ranger who escorted us said my grandfather threatened him personally, which he absolutely did not. This all also happened on Father’s Day.

This course is the best public, non military course in Colorado Springs, no doubt. But the course does play like a 50-60 dollar course. Our foursome was made up of regular golfers - playing 1 to 2 times per week. Never have we experienced a round of golf like we did at Pine Creek. The cart seats were all ripped up - every single one that was available. The ladies’ tee boxes were in horrible condition. There is construction on a handful of holes.Water was pooling in many of the sand traps.Sprinklers were completely blocking the path to get from the tee box to our fairway shots - on the cart path and on the fairway. It took 5+ hours to play 18 holes! Several marshals were driving through the course, and despite telling slow groups they were holding others up, nothing was done to move those groups along. We were held up almost 10 minutes on some holes before being able to tee off. Our group finally got to a point where the ladies did not play on the last three holes, and hole 17 was skipped by the entire foursome so we could move past a group that was holding others up.When we went to speak to the Pro Shop about the issue and ask if anything could be done (since we had spent $320 total for the round), we were offered free range balls... We should have been offered a partial refund or a free round of at least 9.We don’t plan on playing at Pine Creek again.

Just echoing what Ms. Raugh said in her review - what a sh!t show. Over 5 hours to play a round, marshals doing nothing to speed up slow groups, construction on several holes thats been ongoing for years now. Its $30 more per foursome to play Red Hawk Ridge in Castle Rock - far nicer course, kept in excellent condition, carts arent all beat up, and the marshals keep things moving at the proper pace. Pine Creek is a complete ripoff - we wont be back.

Pine Creek requires some precise shot placement and a decent amount of course knowledge to shoot well. It can play rather long if you want it to which I like. The views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding valley are spectacular. This course does tend to let the conditions suffer at times so its hit or miss whether the course is worth paying full price to pay. There can also be a decent amount if slow play and golfers that dont know about play-through etiquette. The clear skimping on investing money into the course is why a star gets left out. Otherwise the layout is fun and the practice facilities are decent.

Never in my life have I been so disrespected by a professional. Booked a tee time last minute saying I would have 2-4 people. I was told Ill put you down for 4 and you will just pay when you show up. I will get back to this in a minute. We showed up, paid for 2 people, and started our round. Pace of play was so bottled necked without out a Marshall that there was a 5-some, yes a 5-some, a 3-some, and our 2-some on the same holes all morning. We left after 12 holes (one of which was a makeshift temporary hole that is worse than chipping in the back yard). I wasnt too bummed as it was a holiday weekend. Then I get a notification from my to bank of a double charge, so i called the shop to have the second $150 charge reversed. Turns out I was charged twice for the reservation because two people didnt show. I called to obviously dispute as I was told I would only be charged in the morning for who showed up to play. This is when it all got ridiculous. The head pro explained and defended the automatic charge policy unprofessionally and then told me Id have to talk to his boss. So I got Tony, Tony then proceeded to tell me if it were him, hed call be upset with the people who didnt show, and that they have a 24 hour cancellation policy. I originally booked the night before about 15 hours before my reservation, so that wouldnt have mattered. After arguing back and forth for 5 minutes, Tony said I have a hard time believing anyone I trained would have said that about our policy, let me call them and see whats going on. So I was then put on hold.. um ok? 5-10 minutes later they couldnt find the kid who took the reservation but I was told they would call me back.At this point I asked why he was disputing this so much. I paid for people and just wanted the charge reversed as it was not explained to me this was the case or else I wouldnt have give my card info over the phone. He said I just have a hard time believing this and I dont appreciate you lying to me about that conversation. So I asked for Tonys name and his boss. His actual response:You can look it up online. Im the only one here with my name so it shouldnt be hard to find my name. And my boss is escalante golf.I asked Escalante golf is your boss?Yep. Escalante golf.So then I asked for an actual name so I could explain how disrespectful he had been and that all I cared about was getting $150 back. Tony started rattling off the corporate phone number and said he had lots of bosses and didnt think I would call them so good luck with an out of state corporate number then laughed and hung up.I definitely have called them. And I will absolutely never golf here again. If you have a strict policy that costs people $300 to play 12 holes of golf because there isnt a Marshall, then explain it to your customers before they go out on the course. Or work with them towards a resolution. What an amateur of a professional.

In fact, three of the holes on the back 9 (where we started) they turned on the sprinklers while we were hitting on, or putting. Dont know if the were automate or not, but it was pretty frustrating. Played in late July. Course was in great shape. The rough was very long cut, although I did play on Sunday, and typically the grass is all cut on a Friday in preparation for the weekend. The course is very challenging and unforgiving. It has a rating of 72.6 which should tell you something. There were very few holes that had a continuous fairway path from tee to green. Other places had the fairway pinch to 20yds wide right where youd land your tee shot. Greens were fast and well kept. Whenever they say players course or technical high handicappers (such as me) should watch out. I have more fun, and tend to score much better, on a course that is more open and more forgiving. This course is not one of those types.

Xander has repeatedly been rude and unhelpful because of using golf now. He will not let you go off early if you book a hot deal even if it’s close to your tee time. Today when his employee let me pay them directly to play instead of using golf now and it started raining during my round I asked for a rain check and he would not give it to me and was very rude about it... Depending on the time of year, summer: greens are fast (people need to fix their divots more) fairways are clean and true with the undulation, ruff is exactly that; you will want to stay out of their ;). Winter: not a whole lot of attention gets paid but still a great track. Greens are unpredictable (lots of sand, slow and not true) but can still make par if get her close on the second shot (the ball still grips decently if you strike it clean). Fairways turn into link style golf, the ruff is cut down and opens up the source of play, nut cart path only can be grueling. All and all; I love this course and will play it many more times.
