Really neat place! Highly recommend stopping here. The scavenger hunt is fun too. The scenes are really intricate and cool. Each time you look you find something different, you could easily spend hours in there. Some of the buildings have changing and moving scenes which is really cool. The staff and Michael Garman were all very nice!

Absolutely incredible artist, a truly magical experience. What made it over the top, was meeting Michael Garman himself, and having him point out some of the illusions. His passion for his work is contagious and inspiring. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself Mr. Garman and giving us a truly magical experience!

How fun! I’ve passed this place so many times without consideration and now that I have children we went to check it out. It’s small, but the attention to detail is incredible. You could easily spend an hour or longer just looking through the little windows. I opted for the free scavenger hunt because I was with my 3 and 5 year old but I’ll definitely go back and do the paid scavenger hunt with my husband. Truly fascinating little museum.

Visit date: 11/25/2016This museum pops up when you want to see some of the more “unusual” attractions in the area. When I searched for “oddities” in the area this popped up but there is nothing “odd” about this place. Magic Town is an attraction located within the Michael Garman Museum. For some people that name may not seem familiar but his works sure are. Once you look up his work you will quickly recognize the genius behind the artwork. When you first arrive at the museum you are greeted with what appears to be a regular store/gallery selling Michael Garman products…. Until you step into Magic Town. You need to pay admission to enter Magic Town but for the fee is nothing compared to the experience you get when you walk through this museum. I won’t go into detail about the creation of this museum since it’s part of the experience as you walk through. All I can say is this truly is a magical little town.We spent about 1 hour walking through and I could have stayed longer. While I was appreciating the time and effort that went into this masterpiece I started to notice all of the very small details that went into creating the town. The various scenes throughout the town, the different people, the holograms, the back alley shenanigans….. It’s a lot to take in with only a short visit. Take the time to look at everything…. It’s worth it! By the way, when you pay for admission, ask about the scavenger hunt game that you can play while walking through the town. You will feel even more connected with the town and you may feel like you’re actually walking through the town. It’s that much fun!!!!I took a bunch of pictures and had a very difficult time deciding which ones to post since there were so many. The few I picked are just a small sample of what you can see. I hope you enjoy these pics and get motivated about visiting. It’s worth the trip and I’ll definitely go every time I visit Colorado Springs.

Illusions, hollograms, mirrors and the most amazing detail in even the smallest of sculptures makes exploring Magic Town a well spent afternoon for kids young and old. There is a scavenger hunt that does a fantastic job keeping you observant. For added hilarity- read the signs that describe each scene. We had the extra special pleasure of meeting Michael Garman! He said he was having a grand time using technology to create new illusions. The kids will teally have a blast trying to figure out the shifting walls and hidden alleys.

Fun creativity is always appreciate! Hope you will visit Simpich Gallery across the street while you are here. You can see by my family name that I are a little bit prejudiced towards the Internationally renown puppeteer David Simpich who puts on shows across the street from the funagic Town. Maybe this photo of is on horse back will become a part of Michael Garmans next artwork! (These horses belonged to Action Adventure Rides out of Ouray where we enjoyed a ride of a lifetime above Red Mountain Town which would also make a great backdrop for artwork) Wishing you all the best and recommending this a unique place to visit.

Scenarios are very well done - at least those which were working. Probably 5% had holographic or mirror malfunctions. They gave each of us a different set of scavenger hunt questions. That was sort of fun as all six of us (4 adults and an 11 and a 6 year old) helped each other find almost all of what was on our scavenger hunt list. They offered each of us a back recently popped pop corn and let the two grandsons pick out some sort of trinket or piece of candy.Glad we went. Wont go back.
