Wow Im so impressed right now!! My mother in law had an open house at her house in Parma so we brought her dogs to an awesome dog friendly bar in Cleveland - Bier Market. They were so well behaved. The food and beer was fantastic. The staff was so welcoming to us. I would be back in a heartbeat.

Scallops are majical! Perfectly pan seared on outside but not overcooked on inside. Its majic I tell you! Went in on Sunday evening so wasnt very busy so got quick service. Extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu.

Cool atmosphere here. I suppose its my own fault for coming to a place known for its alcohol to eat dinner, which is probably why the food wasnt great. The fries with dipping sauce are ~excellent~ and are a reason I would come back here, seriously! They come wrapped in a paper cone which is kind of unique. Im short and my feet dont usually touch the ground at restaurants, so finding somewhere that I can be comfortable is great-- all that to say that the benches with pillows are super comfortable! We both ordered the burger. Despite ordering them medium, there wasnt a drop of pink anywhere inside the patty. Very dry. One of us had the house salad as a side and one the soup with some kind of ancient grain. Soup was oddly sweet. Mediocre service. The two hostesses carried on a personal conversation for at least 30 seconds before helping us (the only people standing there). I would come back here knowing that I wont have great service or a great entree, but the fries are delicious!

Cool place. GREAT food. The pizza and fries were amazing. Good beer selection but expensive. Downstairs turns into a nightclub on Friday & Saturday around 11pm.

Clean place. Food is good. Everything is a little on the pricey side, but not out of line with the area. Easy to get to off the freeway, but parking is not plentiful, or cheap. Due to infamous Cleveland construction and poor city planning, getting back to the freeway is not as easy as it should be.

5 star pizza, 5 star frites, 5 star beer selection. This place was a favorite of mine when I lived here and I’m pleased to say it still lives up to my (over) hype!

I didn’t even eat here, but skinned my knee pretty bad outside their restaurant. The host let me use the restroom, gave me a few supplies, and the entire staff was very kind. Looking forward to eating here; the staff is full of great people.

I dont have any complaints. The place has a good vibe and a solid menu ($$) but I wasnt wowed the times Ive been there. Points for having a pool table and a toilet I wouldnt be terrified to sit on. If Google would let me, Id give it another half star.

This place was one of the few on west 25th that wasnt insanely packed on a Friday night. The service was great and theres an awesome beer selection. Our charcuterie board was very tasty (and unique!).

They are a true beer garden. They actually have a variety of dark beers, as well as the ubiquitous IPAs. (I personally cant under why anyone drinks those thin, bitter brews.) Their appetizers are delicious (lamb meatballs and thick cut, skin on fries). Super nice bartender, too.

The music was great, service was great, back room was great. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that the crust and cheese could have been thicker.

They had my favorite cider and a few sweet options so I can feel like one a da boys. Fries were worth the $12 price tag. Music a little loud but it was a bar. Brett got us what we wanted and left us alone to talk over the music. Nice selection of beers et al. Tough to find Down East anything in Detroit so if it is on tap, I am a happy camper. Check it out.

7/15/2019 around 8pm: Originally came to eat at Townhall but they said they had a blackout and thou their power was back on they wouldn’t be able to seat anyone for over an hour so they can “reboot the kitchen”... whatever that means. They turned away a party of 10 while almost empty. Anyway we made the drive down to Ohio City so we started walking to find somewhere else to eat. We stumbled into this restaurant and they seated us quickly. The wait staff was absolutely phenomenal! I honestly can not say enough good things. We were 2 adults with 8 older children (mostly pre-teens). Not an easy table...filled with indecisiveness and random questions ️. They handled them with absolute ease. Smiles from ear to ear, making recommendations and just making us feel welcome and not a burden at all. I wish I could remember their names! It was a blonde woman and a brunette man. (If that helps) Long story short... Amazing! Pizza was delicious, the burger was perfectly cooked. I’ll be back and you should go too!

Ordered one gin martini with Hendricks, $16!?!?!?! No olives. Their most expensive cocktail on the menu is nowhere close to $16. It’s just the principle, If you order a normal drink that’s not on their menu, they will price gouge the hell out of you.

I like the spot a lot. I feel like its the most underrated spot on West 25th. If you need a late-night snack I suggest you get their french fries. The dipping sauces are out of this world. Sometimes I just come here for the french fries. And for great conversation.

Took my kids here for lunch on a Saturday. The food was great and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We had a pepperoni pizza, a mushroom pizza, the pomme fritte (fries) and drinks. The kids loved their pizzas and I loved the fries with the rosemary. I particularly liked the red pepper aioli and in future will see if I can substitute the curry and garlic aioli for all red pepper aioli.

Pizza was very good the bartender made a perfect Last Word, and the beer selection was great.

Worst service ever!!! As we walked in the bartender did not even acknowledged our presence as apparently whatever was happening on his cell phone was more important. I will not get into detailed description about the awful service and poor food provided. I can definitely say I will not be back. I understand that a Monday night is not the best shift, but as a service industry employee, you would think you would try whatever you could to receive the best tips possible. The bartenders pure lack of hospitality, acknowledgement of customers and service was baffling.

It was just OK. The booths were ripped up, service was good enough, we had no trouble getting a table before a Cavs game. The food was nothing spectacular. The lamb meatballs and the muscles were the best two items at our table. The pizza and pasta was fine.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The waitress who served us had some great suggestions regarding the food and beer. We ordered pomme fritte (aka fries) as an appetizer and she told us to go for the small size if we wanted to eat anything else that night. The fries were indeed a huge quantity and excellently made with perfect seasoning which applies to the rest of the food we ordered. The prices of the main courses may be somewhat on the higher end but the quality makes it worth it. Definitely coming back again!

Its interesting, its like a combo bar, a 3 in 1 restaurant-pub-club. Somehow they made it work, so yeah I like the place. 2 out of 2 thumbs up.

Cool multiconcept bar in one of Clevelands hopping bar scenes. There are four different seating areas. The two separate bar areas, one of which includes a pool table and allows dogs inside as the kitchen is separate. Then a cabana like seating area, best for groups, and a small outside seating area during the spring thru fall. Necessary stop in any Ohio City Bar Hop.

Of all of the many good choices I have in this neighborhood, this is the place I choose often. Yes, they have an incredible beer list, but they also have a $1.50 import on the menu for your friends on a budget. Open 365 days a year.

I like how chill it is upstairs then downstairs theres a dj and a dance floor. Bars upstairs & downstairs of course! As many times ive been down there, djs play some good music. Ive also eaten here before as well, but just once. Sister & i shared a spinach margerita pizza. Was delicious! Depending on crowd, u may or may not take a awhile before grabbing your drinks.

Absolutely will never return to this place again, heres why ...It started the moment we walked through the door, the hostess told us that it was self seating and their were plenty of booths in the back. Now keep in mind we had a group of 6 people and after going to two other places before this and being told we would have a 2 hour wait we were quite happy to hear there were seats available. So we walk to the back and guess what ... no seats, so not a good start but we were starving and ready to eat. We then stood there and waited for seats to become available, in the mean time we got some drinks from the bar. After about 12 min standing there without the bartender even looking at us we ordered some drinks. One in our group ordered a rum and iced tea but they didnt have iced tea... then ordered a rum and coke, once she got the drink it was more like 90% rum and 10% coke.. completely undrinkable. She brought back that drink and went for a safer option... bottled beer (they didnt get that one wrong wow). There were 2 additional beers that were in our order that after about 6-7 min the 1st drink came they were finally served. The bartender actually took one of the beers off the bill because he realized we waited so long. So now we finally get to sit, we get our menus and have a couple questions for the waitress. When one asked her what was on a burger she replied with exactly what it says on the menu , we obviously are not illiterate , a better understanding is what we were looking for since half the menu is in a different language. We then place our order and ask for waters , the water was the quickest service we had because all she had to do was go to the sink and get it out of the faucet (tasted completely like tap water). Finally after about 30 min 2 of our 6 orders show up, a burger which was decent and the spaghetti dish . I ordered the spaghetti dish (minus the lamb meatballs) and what I got was a circle mold of ramen noodles with some sort of nasty canned sauce. Im Italian and have had many many dishes of pasta in my life and that was by far the most disappointing pasta I have ever had, not to mention it was a $20 dish... complete ripoff . So as we are almost done with our orders the 4 of the remain 6 finally get their food, 2 of which contained orders of fries. One fry actually came out about 5 more min after the 1st one. One fry dish came out decently okay (with the exception of the 2 cloves of garlic she was able to put together that came in chunks mixed in with the fries), the other dish how ever just came as hot potatoes. Most of them were still raw and not even close to being a French fry, those went back to the kitchen. The remaining 2 ordered pizzas one was a garlic white pizza the other was basically the same thing but had mushrooms ... and a whopping $8 difference for MUSHROOMS. In the end our waitress (though she started off completely rude) did take 30% off our bill for all the trouble this place has caused our dinner but we will never ... ever return. If your thinking about going here turn around and go home.

Pizza is trash. Cracker crust and a ton of oil. No other discernable flavors. How people can rate this highly is unfathomable. I tried it twice too.

This is a great choice for lunch, dinner, or late - night eats. A couple of my friends demand we go here every time they visit for pommes frites and pizza. The pommes frites are thick cut, cooked in duck fat, and served with garlic and rosemary with a trio of aioli and some ketchup. If you get a table share, ask for extra aioli! The pizzas are out of this world. Brick oven thin and artisan by design, I cannot recommend the Sunnyside highly enough! It is like breakfast on a pizza, served with pancetta and eggs, it is too die for! The entrees are great, too- I like the Bolognese and the squid ink pasta (they use Ohio city pasta).

This was by far the worst experience at a bar that I have ever had. We started in the downstairs part where we waited 25 minutes to even be acknowledged by a bartender and that was only because I had to ask for service. I had asked the first bartender if we could order drinks and he said to hold on and then walked away. I asked that same bartender a second time and had the same response. I then asked a different bartender what it takes to get a drink after waiting for a half an hour at this point and he said to me, do you see how many f***ing people just walked in here, youre going to have to stand there and patiently wait your turn.Im not sure what made us stay here after having that happen but we decided to venture on upstairs where we sat in the corner on the couches. One of the high tables right next to us someone threw up on. Employees were made aware of it and we watched someone come over with a small washcloth and barely wipe the table. You could still clearly see vomit all over the table and flung on the floor around it. We had to tell everyone who walked over to that table not to sit there.We went outside at 1:20 to wait for our ride. We tried going back inside to wait with one of our friends who was still there because it was so cold out. The door was locked. Two guys came to the door and said theyre closed. I said we were going to get our friend who was still inside and they said we need to wait for our friend outside. I told them that we need to get our friend and its cold outside. The one guy said, that sucks doesnt it and the other guy physically pushed me out the door and said we need to leave before he calls the cops. Shortly after we discovered that was the manager who put his hands on me for absolutely no reason.I called this morning to get the general managers information and I asked the girl who the manager working last night was. The girl told me that was the general manager who was working. I said, the general manager is the guy who was standing in the doorway last night and physically pushed me out? She said yes and hung up on me.Between the horrible service, vomit all over the table that wasnt properly cleaned up, and the general manager physically pushing me out the door... never in a million years wilI I ever go back to this place. The previous review said it perfectly, if you are thinking about going here turn around and go back home. If it would let me leave a zero star rating I would.

This place is the worst place to go in Ohio City. If you are visiting go to Great Lakes, Market Garden or Great Lakes. Service here is piss poor even the security guards they hire say something is wrong with the bartenders/barbacks. The food here is okay still not as good as other places in Ohio City. Ohio City was built on craft beer and this place always has bad selections compared to Town Hall. Take it from someone who lives in the CLE, this is not the place to go if you would like to have a bite to eat and grab a few brews.

First night in Cleveland, we wanted to go eat an exotic dinner at a Vietnamese/Cambodian place. When we arrived downtown it started raining hard. We ducked in the Bier Market to stay dry, asked to see a menu while we waited. Bridey smiled and welcomed us in and made us feel at home.We saw italian specialties written in a way that convinced us the chef was authentic. We decided to eat there.Best decision ever.I challenged our waiter Andrew to bring me a beer with bitter/strong/sour obnoxiously dark flavor (my favorite) and he just smiled, said he could do that. He didnt tell me what he had in mind, I didnt ask. He brought a beer that exceeded my expectations and was perfect.His knowledge of the beer and wine selection was superior.He then described the menu and how the meats were cured and cooked as if he had created the technique himself. His overall knowledge was just awesome.We had a cheese plate to start with which had pickled veggie selection and 4 crafted dried meats and matching cheeses, each explained and described in detail. Perfect wine pairing.Our entrees were Italian in origin with an artisan Ohio farmers twist that magnified the flavors.The floor manager Will spent quality time explaining without overstaying during our meal.As we paid (a reasonable price) the chef, Adam, showed up and politely asked if we had a good meal. (Who does that anymore?) While we talked he asked if we would like to see their methods of preparation and techniques. (Who does that?) He took his own personal time (he was off the clock) to show us the secrets of their success in cooking such unique and flavorful dishes.We were treated so well from the front door by Bridey, to the table with both drink and food by Andrew & Will, to the basement by Adam.We are so glad it rained and we sought refuge here and got an even more exotic meal than we planned along with the royal treatment by the staff.We WILL come back next time were in Cleveland.
