We came across this place a few years ago and found it wonderful! We will,be coming bk in july/ august 2020 cant wait!!

Came across this by accident and could not sit by and not comment on a review posted on this site !! the person that made all the derogatory comments about the owner and the conditions at the Ebb Tide could not possibly have stayed there! I have been staying at the Ebb Tide for 22 years for at least 85 to 90 different times,I have never encountered any problems of any kind . I have found the owners very hospitable and eager to make my stays the best they can! I stay at the motel at different times of the year and go certain time to meet with people every year! They come fromthe UK, Holland, Canada, etc and many of the people I see every year have been coming longer than I have ! If this motel was like Mr. LePage says I dont think that would be the case! It sound to me like Mr. Lepage had some kind of ulterior motive against the owner but anyone who actually stays at the Ebb Tide knows different! Love the place!!!!!

Great place.

Paid for a week, and this is what I arrived to. NO call, no warning, no refund, no answer on the phone. I read reviews about bed bugs, but I assumed this was a disgruntled patron. This tells me I was warned and didnt pay attention. At least they could have told me! My family and I are stuck 1,000 miles from home, no car, no place to stay. To say these people ruined my vacation is an understatement.

Love staying here, the atmosphere is family oriented . Wouldnt stay anywhere else like a second home here

Ebb Tide was a nice place to stay. We were only there for one night, so we didnt use the kitchen. Maria and her husband were super nice, they kept our bags for us while we walked the beach, and let us swim in the pool after check out time. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice but needed some remodeling done. Railing were rusted and falling apart. Rooms were nice but you can see old leak marks and cracks in ceiling. Obvious water damage to laminate floors. AC unit was an older Window AC with a make shift duct that led to the Bedroom. Views and location were great. Service and hospitality were great. Price was good.

Wonderfull place

Decided to take a trip across the state at last minute, never having visited Clearwater Beach. We were luck to have found this place. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and could not have picked a better location. Walking distance to everything. When we get back to Clearwater Beach, we will be staying here again for sure!

Wonderful place to stay. Makes you feel like youre at home. Service was awesome.

The bathtub was dirty and had huge chips in the tub. The room hot and could not get air conditioner to work. Whoever ranked this hotel a 4 out of 5 must not of looked the place over. Some one painted over the plug in at the wall and also the one in bathroom was coming off. The place was outdated and old, cheap looking. It was not on the gulf it was inland and smelled like dead fish. There were chips in the paint that were fairly large. The man who checked me in was rude and his friend or wife were terrible also she was wanted to argue about everything. I voiced that I would pay what the cancellation said even though I did not even stay there the night. I took a chance and went to another hotel down the street and got a gulf view with patio for 50 dollars more than the EBB Tide hotel. I would never recommend this to anyone. I voiced to the man and woman that they lied online what this hotel looked like.

Updated, clean and spacious room is within walking distance to downtown Clearwater Beach. I enjoyed the restaurants located nearby as well as pier and beach area. Plan on extra time to cross the bridge from Clearwater to Clearwater Beach during the winter months.

This is not a Hotel or Motel it is more like mini homes at a resort on the North end of Clearwater Beach. Really quite. We have been there several times. We really came upon the Ebb Tide by accident and fell in love with the place. We fly into Tampa and rent a car but I dont know why cause we walk everywhere we go. Cant wait to go back next year and relax and just have fun with my wife.

Excellent motel! Stayed in a two bedroom with my wife, our two kids and my parents and we were very comfortable with our accomodations. Each room has its own bathroom with shower and there is also a full kitchen. We got to know some of the other guests during our stay and everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and fishing off the dock and we caught a bunch of fish. We walked just about everywhere during our stay, it is nice that everything is so close by. The beach is across the street and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

The Ebb Tide is a great little hotel. On the Intra-coastal, its quiet and away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We arrived and wanted to relax and feel “At Home- We did just that! What an awesome place!

Biggest problem was bedbugs, but a murder across the street didnt help our experience.Myself and my girlfriend found this place online, and thinking it was a good deal, we paid ahead arrived on time the day of our stay. We were told that our room wouldnt be ready until 8:00 pm, which is outrageous! We wasted 4 hours waiting for a room at a place that was 1/2 empty, but decided to not let it set the tone for our stay. What a mistake.Upon entry to our deluxe room, I was disappointed at the sparse furnishing and dead cockroaches on the floor. How this room was cleaned an hour earlier and dead bugs on the floor is beyond my ability to comprehend. Turns out, a dead cockroach was the least of our worries. More on that later...We went to explore Clearwater Beach, which is beautiful, but this lodging is located in whats known as the ghetto, where drug users and drunk domestic fights at 3am are standard Friday night happenings. Upon talking to one of the nardowell neighbors, it turns out someone was stabbed to death over a drug deal less that 1/2 block away from the Ebb Tide. Something about that makes me feel this is not exactly family friendly.Our second night at the Ebb Tide, I was awoken to what I thought was a mosquito loose in the room as my arm was itching like crazy. I flipped on the light on my phone as there was no working overhead light and to my horror, my arm was covered in bed-bugs! I was done at this point.I went and coughed up $185 for a room that night, and the next night I tried to have a gentlemanly conversation with the (owner?) who was a total prick. This big fat slob who is missing all his front teeth (no joke!) was more concerned about other residents finding out about his bedbug infestation more than correcting our horrifying experience.We were told we could stay in the room we paid for or leave and not come back. We ended our vacation early - disappointed and angry. Im not sure how they do it in whatever country his obvious accent is from, but as a retired Colonel I have never, in all my travels, been subjected to such disrespect and humiliation. And Ive slept in the desert of Iraq.Do yourself a favor, steer clear of this dump. Sometime saving a few dollars isnt worth the cost of your safety, security and health.

Room is very comfortable and the owners are very accommodating. The location is perfect where it is tucked away and quiet at night while within walking distance to anything in the main strip.

Great place, fantastic views, clean and friendly. Love it here!

Ive been going to Ebbtide for many many years sometimes twice a year now im retired and i never get fed up in fact when i leave in counting the weeks until my next visitI can visit alone as theres always someone to chat to and i feel very safe but must admit im not often alone as my family love it and we have made lots of friends in May and OctMy daughter and son in law were married in Clearwater May this year Maria Graham the owners and friends put on the most amazing evening buffet we were blown awayIts a home from home where just ask nothing is a problem great pool fishing dock and mins from beautiful Clearwater beach

It is a nice small cozy little house like feel.
