The Long Center has pools fit for Oylmpian meets or perfect Little Mermaid/Aquamen celebrations. I attended a birthday party there. The dressing rooms are clean, and the life guards are friendly. It has an outdoor playground as well. The children absolutely enjoyed themselves. They have to swim for the life guards to have their swimming skills assessed. So, bring floaters and life jackets as needed.

My kids and I started swim lessons 3 weeks ago. I have been deathly terrified of water since childhood resulting in two failed attempts at swimming lessons as a child. Since moving to Florida and having kids who love the water, Ive had to conquer that fear. Im on my 5th lesson and can already swim and float. Kerry teaches myself and my son for the Parent and Me class. She is patient, caring, encouraging, and knows how to adjust to the learners needs. Im thankful I signed up for her class because I doubted anyone would ever be able to get me to feel comfortable learning. My daughter is taught by Aaron and on the first day she said Mommy, Mr. Aaron is a great teacher! She looks forward to swim classes...we all do! Were thankful for the affordable swim lessons at The Long Center. Without them, only one of us would be able to learn at a time. I highly recommend it! The 30 minute drive is worth it for us.

City of Clearwater offers lots of activities. Nice exercise room. Great pool. Locker room always clean. Great place to work out! Reasonably priced too.

Great summer camp. Reasonably priced, wonderful experience for my kids. Paying all summer up front was a challenge but very much worth it for our family.

This is more than a regular gym that has a soccer field that has Olympic pool that has basketball volleyball Park and surroundings and very unique play area

Great afterschool activity for your active child/ children

This was my first time at this event and I hope to make it an annual event. The trees were beautiful and put us right in the holiday sprit.

Shouldnt have to pay $10 to play basketball with my three-year-old daughter who cant even shoot. Plus no one wants to give all their personal information just to play basketball. With all the identity theft going on I shouldnt need to give you all that information just to play basketball.

Enjoyed the Christmas tree festival. It was my first time visiting the center and I was very impressed. They were updating the huge indoor pool which I was really impressed with. My friend does different things at the center that they offer and loves the center. I just wish it was in my area I would definitely use the Long Center.

Incredible indoor pool and sports facility. The pool was recently renovated and a significant investment was made by the City of Clearwater to attract family and businesses to the area. Were lucky to have access to such a facility.

Absolutley the best experience. The instructors were extremely professional.Most important tool after a swim class is different rooms to be able to change the baby.The pool was nice and warmIve taken my baby to classes where the pool was open air and it was the worst. Here we didnt have to worry about suncrens nor the weather.So blessed.

Edit: I thought this review was for sunshine park, not the long center.Ive never had a bad experience with my kids here. Its fun, a good environment, and great people and kids every time. The parents are wonderful and the other kids are wonderful with my kids. 10/10 cannot recommend a better park.

After calling twice to see if the pool was open to the public and before making the drive, and paying, they not once mentioned that had swimming lessons going on Mon-Thur from 4:30 to 7:15. So unless you are training for the Olympics in between the ropes, there is no place to just leisurely swim with your children. Also, the strong smell of the chlorine gave me a headache, they need more ventilation.

Im seeing complaints about not advertising fees and not allowing Clearwater residents to pay the residential fee, and I would just like to clear these up, because I did research and called to ask questions for myself.The fees are all over the website and laid out clearly; I personally have never seen a recreation center with these kind of facilities that are maintained be free, so always ask the front desk.Their classification of residential is based off of a website they use that tells you which addresses fall within Clearwater. I do not know the specifications about this website, the information it has about you, etc because the gentleman I spoke with was polite enough to run my address for me over the phone before I ran around to collect the supporting documents.Seriously, visit their website, or call them, and all of the information is very easily accessible, and if you ask them to Im sure they will walk you through any explanations, and help with any questions you may have. The staff was very polite, professional, and helpful.

Not a fan of The Long Center in Clearwater Florida. They have lousy parking and only one entrance into the building from the parking lot so if your one of the misfortune ones who gets stuck parking far away then you have a hike and when its raining out that sucks. Also this place is like a giant daycare facility with alot of noisy bratty kids running around definitely not an indoor sports place for adults

Fantastic recreation center. Lots of exercise machines​. Giant lap pool. Full service gym. Many exciting programs​ and lectures. A great place for you if you have Silver Sneakers as an insurance​benefit. Note that the pool is slated for remodeling during summer 2017.

No place to park for the regional swim meet and no place to sit or stand. I will never come again. Very disappointing experience.

Went to the festival of trees at the long center. What a great place to host events. This was at Christmas time so it was christmas trees and wreaths, all home decorated and for sale for different charities, they also had music entertainment, little booths of items for sale. Homemade baked goods. Would definitely go again

The Long Center is a very nice facility but the front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. When you come in and when you leave, you are not greeted until you greet them. With all the competition in the area for your fitness club dollars, you would think that everyone would be working hard to exceed customers expectations. Not so at the City of Clearwaters Long Center. We have tried to talk with someone in administration for a week and after leaving messages, which the front desk staff tries not to take, no one has returned our call. When we ask for a voicemail or an email so we can leave a message, we are told that she doesnt have a voicemail or email. Again, it is a great facility and would be great overall if the front desk staff would demonstrate more customer service skills. I have to add that every life guard I have come into contact with has a great personality and seems to work hard at customer service.

My husband and I went for the first time to the Long Center to watch our grandson play basketball. This facility is outstanding! If every community would offer their residents a center like this one there would probably be alot less kids running the streets.

We were there for a basketball tournament. Parents and spectators go upstairs to watch, the player and coaches enter on the bottom level. Very nice and clean rec center with a indoor pool.

They have a nice pool and I cant wait for it to reopen. I would give it more stars if in the future all lanes will be open for swimmers (unless there is an event of course). Its very disappointing to have to share lanes with other swimmers when half the pool is closed off and unoccupied just for the convenience of the staff. Thats not very customer friendly and it makes a small pool out of the Olympic-sized one.

I joined the Long Center to use the gym, and even if thats all you use it for its an unbeatable value. Its around 110 dollars for a year for one person. Additional family members can be added for a lower price. They recently added a monthly payment program that breaks the membership down to under 10 bucks a month. The staff is great, and the number of programs offered by the Long Center is too long to list here. If you live in Clearwater, you cant go wrong with a membership.

Theyve taught me how to swim they know how to really swim now Im a good swimmer and will always be a member there

Had a great time at the Christmas show. Perfect place to bring the kids, see Santa, dance to music. Food was awesome and everyone was very nice.

We were here strictly for the playground so I cant speak for the whole complex. From what I saw it was well kept and clean. They did have a youth soccer pratice starting when we were leaving which looked like fun.

I went here multiple times in the last month to inquire about membership and was told if I live in Clearwater that I get the residential rate which isn’t bad and that I need to provide 2 proofs of residency so I came in today and did that and the guy at the desk tells me unfortunately he can’t give me the Clearwater rate because he told me I file my taxes in the county and not the city. First of all that’s not true about my taxes. And second of all if you’re originally telling people that they are covered in all parts of clearwater then it shouldn’t matter whether people are in the county or the so called city limits when it’s all considered Clearwater proper.I live in Clearwater. You should tell your people that you don’t cover all of clearwater; just parts of it. To not do so is very misleading and totally ridiculous. I was told I have to pay a $300 non residential non Clearwater fee when my house, license and bills all have a clearwater address on them. Unbelievable!The pool is nice but too bad you won’t offer people residential rates when you say you will. Stop lying to people and tell them the full story before more people get really upset when they find out that the membership rate you’re telling them is actually going to be double; twice as much then what’s on the mis leading paper you show them that says “Clearwater residence.” What a joke. You lost me as a customer today as a result.

Wonderful full service community center

I love the park here! The rides are really fun. Even though the green spinning ones are in the little kid section they are still really fast! A lot of fun things to do at the playground and the rides are really fun!

A great place to get fit in their workout facility. Swimming is the centers focus with an olympic size pool and water aerobic pool. They host numerous swim meets which makes parking a challenge on weekends.

Great place. Pricing is excellent for locals. I use it for m Body by Science workout and the $/workout ration is great for that. We BBS guys only workout 15 mins one time per week so regular gym memberships tend to be pricey. Long Center takes the sting out of that.

Let me just say this place saved me and my boyfriends butt... we traveled 12 hours overnight with no sleep to get to Clearwater and when we got to our hotel, we absolutely could not check in until 3pm. Arrival time was 7. So we had no way of showering or getting ready. Well a lady at a local restaurant recommended this place. For just $6 you get a day pass to place any sports in their gym, the had a pool, and the life saving showers. We got ready here when we had no where else to go. (When we had already paid for a hotel) so thank you guys!!!
