Subpar location. Subpar employees.

Great exercise classes for older folks to develop more flexibility, balance and strength. It opens early if needed. The facility has weights, a pool, cycling room,a kids area and a fun staff. There is no pressure and lots of smiles.

I have been a member since 1989. The Y offers something for everyone whether it is group fitness classes, weight room, pool, sauna, basketball and I could go on an on. More importantly the Y is a community with the mission for providing health and safety to its members.

The Gym is very clean but staff is very rude, especially at the front desk. Should probably greet the customers and not yell at them to remove their hand from their card or ignore them all together . Don’t plan on coming back to this location and think that who ever is in charge of management should train them on common customs and courtesies. If you don’t want to interact with people then don’t work at a job that requires customer service.

I am satisfied with my experience in the wellness center.

The facility was very nice, but they would not honor our Silver Sneakers membership while we were in Clearwater for vacation. They wanted us to buy a one month membership. We went to the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center where they did alllow us to work out with our Silver Sneakers membership for free.

Great classes with friendly members & staff. Ive been a member for years because I just love the Clearwater Y. Its added so much to my life as its enabled me to keep healthy and active with such a wide variety of classes. The Y is also a tremendous asset to our community with low-cost swimming classes, camps and other activities for kids. Come check out the Y!

This is a nice ymca. A bit crowded but it head everything and its really nice. Clean, great big facility. Nice people work there.

The young girl that showed us around was very personable. She has been there for 4 years and knows her stuff. The facility was great.

I love some of the classes. I enjoy the pool, hot tub and steam room- which has been out of service for past month. I wish they had a lightening conductor like the Long Center. The pool is frequently closed during rainy season due to thunder and lightening

Nicest staff by far of all the many YMCA facilities that I have been at. The place is always clean and they have a steam room. sauna, jacuzzi, and beautiful pool area

The Clearwater YMCA is a very nice YMCA. They offer Camp Coast for children with special needs - which is an excellent offering. It is very beneficial to those families with special needs children and supplies my daughter with a place she can come, meet with her friends, enjoy her day, and learn new things.I would like to personally thank Vicky and Kim for their support with Camp Coast. Please keep up the great work.

My husband and I love to go to this ymca ... I love to go Zumba got a instructor name jerry he’s the best ... just love the hot tub .sauna , .... I want to say thanks to Brenda Wallace the greeter she always greet people that comes from her heart ...:lots of my friends feel very welcome to this place ...Thanks Brenda .. .

Great location, with an amazing staff to assist you with your needs

Facility is clean , reasonable price. However staff can be a bit rude sometimes and if you have to call and leave a message for any of the program coordinators they never call you back or you just never reach them.

The maintenance when I was there seemed decent even thou there was a guy who said it needed deeper cleaning. But I didnt notice. I cant speak for anything other then that the sauna, steam room, and hot tub particularly. But the day care seemed nice as well if you have kids.

My family and I LOVE the YMCA, the community feel is throughout the building. I know my kids will have fun, be safe and learn while in the gym playing basketball.

I love the Clearwater YMCA. The level of friendliness, services, quality of equipment and programs available to one and all is fantastic. I am so glad I am a member!

Its getting better. They finally fixed the steam room and now it gets steamy. For awhile there the steam room was like being in a fog that only reached your head. Most of the ladies there are friendly and nice. Classes are fun. Please wear your shower shoes cause i got a wart from the yoga class.

There are so many Programs that are beneficial that it hard for me to talk about each-one at this time it Late for me right now - But one way or another they all help you keep in shape - I think that one of the most important part , also the programs they have for kids, i enjoy working out in the gym there and using the pool, Basketball gym and steam room. the YMCA at clearwater is a wonderful place, very clean and organize I Love it - the Staff are nice and so helpful that another reason i love to go there. this is only a general Statement i can mention a lot more. in Detail Martial art, Exercise program, after School program swimming aerobic the wellness programs, the people helping people program with out them it would be hard for me to enjoy ALL the YMCA has to offer i think i mention just a bit lol there much more .......

I love this gym I just wish the class times were more spread out other than that classes are great all new equipment and friendly staff, instructors are awesome!! Love that they have sauna, whirlpool steam room and pool!! Ladies locker room is huge very accomodating

This review is written by YMCA member, Norma Espinoza. My main goal is to improve my health by exercising and watching what I eat. At the Y I can work towards this goal without getting bored. There are so many activities offered to members, and this keeps me very motivated. I look forward to may workout!

Great gym, amazing basketball & racket ball courts. Stunning pool & jacuzzi, steam room & sauna. So far the Best Y I have visited. Definitely will be back.

I usually go in the morning to work out between 5-7 am. I have never noticed or had a single problem at this gym. They seem pretty up to date, and never have to wait more than a couple minutes for any given machine. Pretty good variety of machines and free weights, however definitely catered more to the elderly crowd. They do have a great indoor pool, but everytime I have been it is full. They have a kids play area that I have never seen open, but then again I have never been past 7am. Joe who works in the early morning is probably the best employee anywhere in Florida I have met. Employees such as “Joe” in the workout area and the men at front desk go out of their way to be incredibly nice and friendly. The whole gym is about the cleanest I have seen. The customers this time of day all appear to work or be retired “by choice” unlike what other reviews have said. This gym is close in quality in the early mornings as Palm Harbor Ymca is in the afternoons.

Terrible. They never give you a tour of the facility. They scold you when youre in an area unallowed even though they never toured you properly. They let too many things slide. A woman actually had lice so bad you could see them crawling in her hair. (How was she even able to check in?) I am baffled as to how this is the only Y with a hot tub, sauna, and steam room, yet they seem to cater mostly to the homeless. I appreciate the homeless having somewhere to go. But appropriate hygiene should still be a priority. Especially when paying families are put at risk of catching lice and other things. The kids center hours are very limited also. If youre going to have a kids center it should be more accommodating to working parents schedules in my opinion.

Very clean. Great for working out, swimming. Most of the people who attend are retired.

Nice place to bring your kids to go swimming or do activities. There is a gym here and they have a daycare area where they will watch your kids for you while you swim, go in the sauna or workout. Very nice place and a positive atmosphere which is always nice when looking for a no-shame gym.

Lots of choices of classes..zumba is the best! Staff are always friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is sometimes there are too many people in the class so no room to move.

My family and I love this YMCA. They have great equipment, awesome classes and a kid zone that’s hosts parent’s night out events twice a month.

This ymca has so much to offer in a family friendly environment

The staff are friendly and offer assistance often. There are a variety of ways I can get a work out in. The place is clean and well kept and the exercise equipment is well maintained.

It is all inclusive with many many activities for all ages. A safe a very clean environment with little to no staff turn around so everyone knows you. Its great!

I like that this is a family oriented facility. There is something for everyone throughout the year. Aqua Zumba is my favorite! Then relaxing in the stream room or the jacuzzi.

Variety of fitness machines and classes.

Almost always good. Be warned the pool will close if lightning is even within 20 miles & it would be nice if they had an aqua zumba interim instructor when the staff teacher is a no show which is not uncommon (maybe hire 2 teachers?) ... But everyone is nice, so give it a try.

Love the YMCA, super friendly staff. I go there with my 1 year old son, use the child care service so mommy can get a workout in and shower in peace.

Love this place! I finally got around to becoming a member and so far I am enjoying taking yoga, stretch classes and the treadmill.

Friendly staff and great classes along with an awesome gym.

Not welcoming to new members. Girls in the kid zone are rude, just stare at you instead of helping with the check in/out process or your kids and talk down about your children. The kid zone also doesnt open until later then other branches so if theres classes you want to take like water aerobics, you cant bc it doesnt open until the class is half way done. I felt very judged the few times I came here and they are definitely catering more to the Hispanic community than the community as a whole.

Invite yourself to come and learn!I come to the YMCA for a more spiritual type of gym. This location is very nice and its always improving.

I get a great workout there. People are friendly and its definitely an older crowd. They have a large inside court for basketball with 6 hoops and its usually not occupied in the morning.

This place is so nice. The gym is bigger than most others that you will find around Clearwater and the pool is always clean and not overly chlorinated. The staff are very polite as well

One of the nicest and best-equipped YMCAs that Ive ever used. The center has a full-size basketball court, heated pool, sauna, spacious locker rooms with showers, a modern gym, and a meaningful childrens activity schedule.

Friendly staff, great selection of group exercise classes, pool, sauna and hot tub available, plus basketball courts and they recently (10/2016) updated the fitness equipment. Kid Zone available for those who need it, outside play area, sports field and racquetball courts.... lots of options to get you moving and active.

I like that the gym is affordable and that my entire family can join for an affordable rate. They recently have done renovations which was definitely necessary, especially since the last time I was apart of the gym in 2017 the had a severe roach problem in the sauna. The sauna doesnt look completely renewed but I havent seen any roaches yet. I recently returned after having a problem with the way one of the evening kid zone staff members were treating my son and I. She was very unwelcoming and left me feeling apprehensive about leaving my son with her. Now that I have returned, the same issue is occurring. Morning time kid zone staff members are rude and unwelcoming. However, I do noticed they are selective about who they welcome and show great customer service to. Once again, Im feeling apprehensive about leaving my child with them especially because he has a speech delay and cannot communicate his treatment effectively. Also, I just had a baby and I will definitely be keeping him out of the kid zone.

I love this place I go Monday through Friday and I feel connected. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I stay over 2 hours so much to do and enjoy for the entire family

Daycare is okay the aquatics direct is just awful and full of her self! Would rate negative 5 stars for her alone! Little ones will be taking lessons else where that is for sure. Gym is sufficient

Only facility in the area with a whirlpool. Im an away guest from Alabama and the staff has been very helpful and friendly. Would have given it 5 stars had theyre been towel service. But that seems to be the norm for all the Florida Ys Ive visited.

Wonderful indoor pool, basketball court, etc, no negatives.

We took our son there for swim lessons (which werent cheap) and we basically did the same thing with him every week. He didnt learn anything he didnt already know. And not to mention the water was freezing!!! The instructor had even admitted that she didnt know what was going on or what the itinerary was!!!
