I always enjoy playing here but for whatever reason this course ALWAYS has some drainage issues - even when it hasnt rained recently.

First time ever playing the course was Memorial Day 2020. I aced #7, so that makes this a 5 star course in my mind!Course was in great shape considering the rain weve had recently. Had a great time.

Good course, challenging greens, plays pretty open, had to play back 9 only aince they aerated the greens on the front. Course was in great condition. Not sure why the kitchen was closed in mid April, but not a huge deal for me.

Its a fun public course with a lot of hills. Not overly difficult, but a lot of fun to play. Greens roll true.

Played Thanksgiving week. How good does it get! Course support is obviously in winter shutdown. Greens are uncut with dew but in unbelievable condition. We play at least twice a week and this course is in fabulous shape. Played behind a crippling slow group with no one to urge them on but the golf was great! Course may be in the best shape I’ve seen all year. Get there!

We like coming out here. There are a few fun holes. Been out maybe 5-6 times and the course has been in pretty nice shape.

The guy on the phone was pretty rude the first time I called, but I called the next week and a different guy was much more professional. Played nine after the leagues during the week, and it was too busy/slow. Got backed up at hole six with two groups ahead of us waiting. So we went back to hole one and played 1-3. It was a well kept course for a good price.

Nice and historic old-school course with tree lined fairways. Some greens can get tricky which can really test your short game and putting skills. I play this course several times a year and always enjoy. If you live in the cincinnati area and have not played here, you need to give it a shot.

A good golf course for the price and being a CRC course. The greens are the best aspect of this course.

Great shape, even late in the season. Can be expensive but for less than 60 bucks this is a beautiful public course with lots of great variety.

At the turn a freedom 2 groups in front of us took a break and then jumped up in front of us causing a 10 minute wait for us to tee off on 10. Starter didnt do a thing about them and let them sit and back up the course. Also, concession stand wasnt open.

A fun par 70 course with some good variety. Its one of the best three CRC courses behind Glenview and Neumann. The finishing hole on the back nine is my least favorite and makes me question why it was built that way, but aside from that, the course is enjoyable.

Its a nice course but could use some improved maintenance.

Old course but still very nice. Very generous if you miss shots left or right. Clubhouse showing its age though.

This is a beautiful golf course the only problem is they rarely maintain it. The tees are on slopes and the cups when cut are put on side hills. The rough has not been cut for a while and the greens are rarely cut as well. Some one should lose their job over the constant condition of this course.

The course was in great shape. Could not believe how well the course was maintained. Didnt hit a single ball that I couldnt find.

Normally its one of my favorite courses, but today they were aerating the fairways and it was disappointing that when I made the tee times for 8 on Sunday that I was not informed that they would be doing this work. It was terrible trying to play from the fairway as well as the tracking of mud onto the greens. I think the bad experience could have e been avoided if we had been told about the aerating when we called for the tee times. We would have e moved California into the later rotation and played it later after it had time to heal.

This course compares fairly well to reeves in that it is not terribly difficult. However, the course overall is in better condition. Great value! Only reason I cant give it 5 stars is the tee boxes and greens could use divit repairs. Fun course!

Price is right, course is usually well kept, plus they’re ready to go in January at 7am and 35 degrees! Nice people on premises, no complaints.

I play golf as much for exercise as the challenge of scoring well, so I usually carry my bag. The front 9 at California is great for both. 3 elevated greens are tricky to hit and taxing to climb. They have putted well when I have played them. In fact, I like the course in general. Enough trees and hazards to make it interesting but not exasperating for a mid-level player like me. Staff is friendly and helpful.Would give it 5 stars but back 9 is so hilly and some tee boxes so scattered that playing it requires a cart and a lot of experience to hit to exact spots on many of the fairways.

Loved the course great layout. It was a little crowded but play moved nicely

Nothing special in my opinion, but a fair course. Only one par-5, so there isnt much variety. Pace of play was terrible, starter didnt really hold people to tee times and never saw a ranger to keep things moving. Also there was no drinking water on the entire course.

Not a great experience today. Someone broke into multiple cars. Broke my window and stole a laptop.

Beautiful course and Allen at the front desk was very helpful.

Never play on Sunday morning.If you start early,you can guarantee a three hour second nine. The group that was put out in front of us were non golfers. Nobody takes any control of the pace of play.
