This theater has come a long way from its humble beginnings. The staff are courteous and helpful, particularly the waiters that bring food and concessions to your seat. Each auditorium seats about 50 to 60 people in large, comfortable chairs (no reclining option) with PLENTY of leg room. I was also impressed by the quality of the meals offered. You must try the catfish tenders!

Hi kids, its me! Ok I went to the show to see invisible Man, which was so,so good! I just wanted some popcorn and a Drink but I didnt feel like standing in line, so I went to my seat and just pushed the button. She came and took my order and I enjoyed a good movie, with very good snacks! I had a great time! A really relaxing evening! Boy, did I need that! Try it, youll have a great time! See you soon

Our experience was fair, our server didnt have the most Pleasant attitude however she did do her job. Half of the things I wanted to order were not available. The food was good and came up pretty quickly. One of the only things that was missing was the ability for the chair to recline. I definitely plan on visiting again, I would probably give it five stars if it werent for the server that we received.

Visited for the first time, staff is very accommodating and friendly. The food is excellent and healthy portions, enough to share. This Theater is clean,comfortable, the seats are comfortable. They make excellent drinks! Washrooms are clean. Once again the staff is on top of their game, give these people a raise.

I love this theater. I really like the changes they ,made to it. Hadnt been here in years, had a mother and daughter night, It was really nice. They have wait staff to take your orders in the theater. Theres a bar here and restaurant to boot. Ill definitely be returning for my favorite shows.

Studio Movie Grill is a nice place to go watch a movie. They have a wrap around bar and a variety of fun delicious food. The customer service team is friendly.. Its right off the expressway which makes it very convenient.. There are also clothing stores and food places in the area.. Come by and shop..

I went here a couple years ago. We had a really bad experience..We../ my girlfriend and I....gave it another shot by default.. The movie was awesome. The staff was not on their job. I waited at the bar for service while she got popcorn.. She was able to get the popcorn after 10min wait.. meanwhile im still waiting for someone to come to the bar. After several request & waiting.. someone finally came to make the drink. He apologized, he could not find the bar tenders. You made the drink, and we were very grateful. It was one shot maybe a shot and a half.. Maybe... on the rocks.. And it was $20.I did enjoy the movie. But the seats were really uncomfortable. I had a really really really bad experience the last time I went. And I swore I would never go back.. But that was the closest movie theater that was playing the movie I wanted to see. So we went again. And this experience, was almost as bad as the last. I should have went to Harper Court or block 37 Mall

Went to go see The Photographer and it was amazing. The staff goes around and asks you if you want anything to eat or drink and they bring you your food into the theater, that was something new for me. Its a great place for a date and its very intimate and I like that.

I was at the movies today with my class and I ordered a Crispy Chicken Tenders NOT A KIDS MEAL!! My host cheated me out of my money by making me pay for the kids meal that I never ordered and the meal I DID order. Then she was rude about by saying” I wish I never turned off that light; I wish I kept it on. Rude kids”. So she cheated me out of my money and was rude about it. This was my order: 1 Crispy Chicken Tenders Entree fries. This is what she put down and total: 1 kids meal Crispy Chicken Tenders and 1 entree of Crispy Chicken Tenders and a drink. I paid $14 for all that before I realized and I asked for a refund but she said no refunds. Terrible host. Great movie however

Me and my son really enjoyed going to this theater. We were able to pick our owb seats and our server was very nice and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Also I like how clean the theater was as well. This place has been through a major upgrade and it looks very nice.

My family and I visited the theater on Monday February 3, 2020. My cousin who has had a stroke went to the bathroom and fell. No one helped him. When he finally got up he told the guy who check the tickets that he fell. The guy said so. He is the one with the long dreads. The manager on duty was Kimberly. Its amazing that no one cared to help. I will never go back there. Im going to make sure I tell everyone about how unconcerned the workers are. I will never spend my money there again.

Never answers the phone which really is unprofessional.

It was my first time in a movie grill. I loved it! Push a button someone comes to take your order and bring the food to your seat. The seats were great too.

I had a great experience here. It was nice and clean! The food was fresh and it was brought to my seat! The new seats are comfortable and it has a tray to put your food on! The even offered mints and a Togo box after the show was over!! I was so impressed! Right on the south side! All the employees were ver courteous and very helpful!! I loved it and will go back to this theatre!

The movie theater is comfortable. You can order from your seat. Unfortunately, we took the children to see Sonic and they didnt have slushies, didnt they medium size cups and for kids thats a bummer. Step up your game next time. The food line was long and slow.

Although the food took a while, it was a pleasant experience... Until you reach the bathrooms. However, The staff was friendly, the seats were comfortable and ordering was a breeze.

Very clean. Polite employees, great customer service. Pretty good food, though it is overpriced in my opinion. Theres also a bar for liquor if you want to drink.

I went because I heard things had changed however, not so much on a Saturday. No wipes for the tables/chairs. Had to get wipes from a fellow movie goer to wipe down my table and sticky char. They brought my friends food out when the movie was half way through. Then the wings were very hard. My friend told the manager and ask if she could get a small bag of popcorn to replace the hard wings, this was granted however, both were charged on her bill! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!

Ive only been here once, but the service is great. I had the bbq chicken pizza was very tasty. I feel like this theater is for my culture. I love it! great for date night and its self serve.

It was good atmosphere great drinks. My food was cold when I got it. Rather a lukewarm rather than hot. But other than that I had a good time.

Thursday’s and Sunday’s with Prescott Lauren can’t be beat!!! Literally house tunes drink specials and then you can hatch a flick....

I really like this theater. However, just this one time I ordered food from my seat and it took forever for my food to come. Me and my son watched at least 30 min of the movie before the food came, and thats after I asked them several times. When the drinks came 15 mins after the food, the coke taste like Sprite. I actually had to take the pops back to the consession stand during the movie to get a totally different kind of pop because the coke flavor was messed up.

4 star for the $5 Tuesday. But the food is over price.we ordered 2 large pops (no refills anymore on your drinks ) ,a fish and chip (five or six small pieces) and a cheesy fry. That cost $37.00. I would suggest eating before you go there. The Appearance of the place they need one person to police the place the bathrooms,the glass on the door and the trash on the floors thru out the building. Theater 7 seats 5-6-7-8 they sqeak.

Comfortable, clean and attentive.I like the idea of ordering food and snacks from my seat. The food and my change from a $100 bill arrived hot and delicious. (The food was H & D). Interesting enough, the fries stayed hot down to the last 1. By the way, they were cut thick, just i like them!Highly recommend this theatre.Great service, Great movie selections, Great prices.

Went to see Ford vs Ferrari last night, half way through the movie the bulb went out. For some reason they couldnt fix the problem. I asked for a refund but they refused, but they did give us guest passes. The next day I planned to go back to finally see the movie but they arent showing it anymore. I actively try to support this theater because its in my neighborhood and is (or was) black owned, but if I have any trouble using these guest passes then I wont return. Also, every time that I have been there the food has been terrible.

I dont care for the seats, reminds me of grammar school. I also had a large drink and popcorn but there was no refills on neither. I prefer Marcus theaters.

They really do try. I just cant get passed not being able to just get my popcorn before I go in. I have to wait such a long time but , we ordered this time from the bar & got it quicker.We will continue to patronize them because we believe in them. Glad we saw Harriet there.

Movie was great, audience although I was at a late evening movie was more mature than I imagined. The staff gave excellent customer service and although it was Tuesday a discount night the overall cleanliness of the auditorium, bathroom, and building hallways were clean.

Service in this theater is timely and hospitable. This place is clean and any attendant is willing to assist. I usually go alone. I always feel safe and comfortable. The hot food is fresh and delicious. The popcorn is fresh and delicious. The public washroom is clean and spacious. Am ppl le parking with several handicap spaces.

The value of this place is really disappointing from how it use to be, great food made fresh when you order now everything is pre cooked, needs to go back to how it use to be!

I believe in supporting businesses in my own community and keep trying with this theater but they make it hard. I appreciate that they have movies that are appropriate for children and go as much as possible. However yesterday was a joke. NO butter for the popcorn and only table salt (popcorn salt IS different) and nothing but mustard for the hot dog. Really? They have to better!

I went to see Queen and Slim on an empty stomach and figured Id get blackened chicken pasta... The theatre was out of food. There was literally a sign saying that they had no food. Chile, the ghetto

For me this theater is still considered a little secret. Theres nothing super glamorous about the place, its just very well kept and pleasant. The location is easy to find and takes you through a little mall with wonderful stores, bakeries and restaurants. Friendly and efficient staff and lovely seating inside. Perfectly air conditioned, not too aggressive like some theaters.

This location has really gone down. The food service gets backed up a lot of times, so you dont get everything quickly. They keep changing from a concession stand where you get your food, to making you order EVERYTHING (pop, popcorn, candy) from the servers. This creates additional time for your order. They no longer allowed refills on any sizes. The chairs in the theater are short, although they are cushioned they dont give you enough room and they dont recline. If youre paying full price, pick a better theater. If its a discount day this will work. Overall Studio Movie Grill (SMG) is there to take money with the lowest amount of amenities or service for the customer. This area/location deserves a better management company for the theater.

Studio Grill has a nice concept, but they have too few order takers, servers are slow and have little customer service, folks on their phones during the movie and management doesnt address any of these issues

Its best to order your food at the bar or concession stand. If you wait till you get inside the show, the waitress/server will bring it slightly warm. It just takes to long to get your food

Awesome updated environment. Bar, grill, & live events in the lobby sometimes. I dont suggest it, but we have taken our food in a few times. They are trying to better their food/order service to your seat. Still SLOW. The movie was just about over when the food came.

They need to do a much better job with managing concessions. Management seems to be non existent. Having to wait 25 minutes in line is unacceptable. They say you can order from your seat but that also takes an unacceptable amount of time. While I like that its in the neighborhood, Im now considering going somewhere else in the future.

It would be nice for the recliner seats, but the swinging trays, takes the place. Good screen and sound quality

My family and I enjoyed the new theater. We saw the movie Crawl. Very suspenseful film. Food was a tad pricey, but good! Will take advantage of $5 Tuesdays with my large family.

The movie was great, but the concessions made the experience terrible. The icee machines were all down, and we were told they were out of cups for the icees as well. This experience makes me question how this venue is managed. My family and I wont be going back.

Movie was great. They dont have reclining chairs except for the first two rows. No refills. Dont like ordering because they are slow and you have to request your change and credit card. They need to evaluate their serving policy inside the theater. Movie is almost over by the time you receive your order.

This theater isnt exceptional other than the fact that I saw the first Guardians of the Galaxy here. The theater had seats available, which were clean and with a large parking lot, which allowed me to travel here. It is a bit out of the way, but a solid option when looking for places to go to see some of the bigger blockbusters that come out

Midday, midweek is best time for movie viewing, but Grill service is slow. Seating is clean, which is a good thing for food service.

Havent been here in a long while. Its been remodeled, added a nice bar and eating area. The margarita i had was quite good. The one thing i would point out is the theater i was in needed to be cleaned better. The seat had debris Im assuming was popcorn in it. Also the drink holders definitely needed a good scrubbing out. The floor by the seats was slightly sticky. I will be back because you need to patronize neighborhood businesses or they close up, just like the Target did and the Best Buy and others.

Clean it up! Put all those flyers/cards/pamphlets in one place. Fix plumbing and hand dryers. That said, it is a nice theater with comfortable seating.

I got my tickets early for myself and my kids. But when I got there, I was late because of parking. So I went straight into the theater (not noticing the concession stand). We got in just in time for the start of the movie. After settling and looking at the beginning, I went to the concession stand just to find out I had to order inside the theater. That’s something the person who checked my tickets should’ve told me and offer a menu, but he didn’t. Any who after grabbing a menu, ordering and paying, I received nothing. No drink, no popcorn, or no nachos. When I asked about it, she told me She would bring it, even though the movie was well into the ending. Movie ended, still no food. Asked for refund and I feel like they didn’t even care about the situation. No sympathy for the experience my kids and I experienced. Ugh!

Needs a better system of getting food to people even if they are late to the movie that they are watching

Love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere...and that you can eat and have a nice glass of wine while watching a movie.

This is excellent redesigned theater. Equipped with new seats with private tray tables. Also each chair has its own Order Call button, push and a order taker arrives to take your order and payment. Soon after your order arrives. The lobby has a full bar and booths for dining in. I was extremely pleased with the customer service from the ladies at the counter and my order taker in the theater. Time of visit: 12p

Although the movie was great everything else was not. 1. I ordered two drinks and only received one I had reorder my second one. 2. When I paid I had to hunt down my server to get my change back. 3. I went to the bathroom and its gang signs carved on the stalls.

Me and my family went to watch a movie here and had a horrible experience. We didn’t appreciate the rude children unattended without an adult who made many distractions. We asked them to be quiet and they gave a nasty attitude. I don’t appreciate how the manager handled this situation. I do y recommend this place it’s ghetto. Try Amc or somewhere downtown.

Theres more available than just stadium seats. The concession workers were friendly and efficient. The restroom was clean and well supplied even at peak times.

87th location is the worse movie theater ever. I took a family member who has autism and they were so rude to us. The ticket lady at the entrance before seeing the movie was on her phone on speaker. You are working why are you ignoring customer. She made us wait as she allowed others to enter. I wish I could get my money back.

The movie theater and snacks were fine, but the public restrooms left a lot to be desired, they need cleaning!

We didnt get the right order served and when we tried to correct it, they said they were out of what we ordered. Why not let us decide what we want instead of them choosing. We didnt argue with them, just took what they brung and enjoyed the movie.But, we did like no teenagers after 6pm.

Great spot for get-togethers, hanging out with friends and watching awesome movies. The bar drinks are good not strong but good... The prices are a little high but its worth it if youre on a date.

1. I walked in and no one greeted me or pointed me in which direction to go.2. Once I got to the concession stand there a group of young cashiers talking in a group about how could work the weekend and who couldn’t. When the cashier finally spoke to she asked me if I was ready to order after for over a minute.3. One of the other cashiers threw something away while wearing black gloves, touched the dirty lid and kept the gloves on and proceeding down the line of service.4. I finally head to see my movie and one of the two guards finally stopped me and asked for ticket. Once he saw what movie I was going to see he mentioned that it was garbage......I probably will not come back to this theater.

Best movie studio ever! They had an indoor grill,a button to press for service,an set in wooden plank for food,and the best of all,the best quality EVER!!! I loved it personally as an experience

Tuesday nights are very nice with all the new updates this place has stood its grounds..With the remodeling and new bar and grill.Great addictionNow all they have to figure out is how to keep the washroom cleaned up a little better..So this was a great idea for this area and I believe its doing really well.

Very nice theater on the south side of the Chicago. The bar and the food wont disappoint, the theaters are clean but the seats dont recline.

I come here once every Star Wars movie release. This theatre is quite big unlike a lot of others downtown therefore, there is generally tickets available unlike many places that will be sold out. I only ever order an icee so I’m not sure how the food is but there is a bar with alcohol so this is a great place.
