Have a large family? This theater is extremely economical and the sound quality is fantastic. Ive always had a great time and experience with the audience and the customer service is very attentive.

I like coming here to watch matinees by myself and it had been a good experience. I had been taking my Mom to Melrose park in the past but wanted to bring her here, especially since they have so much handicap parking out front. I thought it would be a good and accommodating experience for her too since she is elderly, cant walk long distances and uses a cane. But 1st I want to say some of the staff are real personable and helpful. There was only one line open and then the A-list line. I was there this past Saturday afternoon to see Us and unfortunately there were a bunch of 8 unruly kids that absorbed all of the staffs attention. I asked can we pay at another register because my Mom cant stand up long waiting for the kids to settle down and finally buy their tickets. The manager was nice enough to take us to guest services to purchase our tickets. I also let her know that Im a stubs member and the whole process was quick and done. The rest of my review is a commentary on areas of opportunity to make improvements: 1) have automatic doors for elderly/ handicap persons to open 2) have some handicap or elderly seating near the door upon entry while family members wait in line for tickets. 3) have more seating for handicap / elderly in the halls throughout the theater 4) when the persons who clean the theaters are not busy cleaning have them safeguard the handicap seating in the halls and in the theaters for those that actually need it. I witnessed 2 elderly ladies come in together looking at the seat they probably selected being taken up by 2 abled-bodied persons and the only seating left required them to try to walk up stairs. When the movie was done, I had to ask an abled bodied family 3 times to make room on The One Bench that was in the halls near the restroom while we waited for my niece to return from the restroom. 5) have smaller portions of popcorn and soda for those that dont want a big bucket or big bag of popcorn at a more economical price. A snack size & pricing. My Mom complained that the popcorn tasted stale. I dont ever buy food for myself but I do for my family. 2 popcorns and one regular sized drink being $26 is just outrageous. And then another $14 for 2 more drinks for my nieces. I hope that there is more seating placed in the halls throughout the theater and some staff person makes rounds in the theater up to showtime to make sure the handicap/elderly get priority for handicap/elderly seating. Until then I will probably be coming back to matinees alone.

I come here all the time with my friends, especially since it opened back up with COVID the place is very clean, and the workers are super friendly, plus tickets are affordable, I recommend coming here!

Okay... weve been coming to this theater for years now. It is one of those theaters that is great to catch a movie at no matter what day of the week.We have even purchased a whole row of seats one year for our daughters birthday party... it was an amazing time and we had a fabulous time. We had no problems getting seats all together as this theater has assigned seating when you purchase the tickets.Having the AMC app is also a life saver especially when you know that it will be a night where there will be long lines for a popular movie and you can get buy the tickets ahead of time... pass up all those people still waiting in line. And you dont run the risk of waiting for a movie and the tickets are sold out!The prices for the tickets are not that expensive so a family of 4 can literally see a movie for about +/-$20 on any given day. So it makes for a great family date night place to go. The prices are just about all the same no matter the movie or when it came out.

My family and I really enjoy visiting this location everyone is always professional and helpful.

Nice theater. Generally clean. Friendly staff. But their are some hoodlums who hand around there. I personally had a friend get there window busted open while we were inside watching a movie. They stole his backpack and phone because he left it to charge in car. So i you. Be safe and smart. Otherwise enjoy

I have some good memories of this theater. I saw the Dark Knight release here, inhad a pretty sweet date once (ONCE), and every other time it was a nice pleasant experience. Movies :)

Old school seats, but overall it was a clean and decent theater.

How nostalgic... I dont go to the movies often but I remember those times when we didnt have assigned seats. But I understand there are some precautions.

This place could use a little cleaning on the inside, but overall my visit was fine.This place gets crowded easily.Lots of children playing and running around in the theater. Watch your step! The staff members were eager to assist.

Service is great. Prices are great. But the janitor service manager and team need to hire more personal to constantly replace the garbage, toilet and towels in the restroom, as well as replace empty soap, every trashcan is at maximum capacity throughout the entire day and night.

Cheap place for a show. Plenty of parking and the popcorn is usually fresh because they are always busy (dont at me if its not LOL). It is not the fanciest but the staff usually among the friendliest

Nice local theater. Seats are comfy and have good visibility at all of the screens.

We got there right as it opened. Got our tickets and went in. Not a lot of people when we went. We got drinks quickly. It was clean. One of the three soda machines was out of order but the other two were fine.

The movie was great!! 3D experience gets 2 thumbs up. Very crisp and immersive. The sound and the seating needs an upgrade, but I guess thats unlikely due to the neighborhood and the customer base. The only reason I went there is because my usual theater, with heated recliners and half the price didnt have any showings.

I loved it,it has very good movies there and the I was planning to watch they were all there,and they have good nachos and drinks as well.(I didnt take I picture of the nachos but hope it helped to any questions)

Love this theater, been here since I was a kid. Its only improved with time, better security, better everything. And the movie selection is always cool

The place is pretty cool but the seats dont recline, I know its not that important but other movie theaters do.

Theater seating layout is weird. In this one you want to sit in the first 6 rows. Also this theater is very cold in temperature. Other than that no issues. Great price and service.

Alot of big crowds at night or when new movies come out. The ticket agents move too slow but their ticket prices are the best.

I came in here with my teenage friends to watch a PG13 movie at 8:00. The website says curfew (accompanied by an adult) was after 9:00. We went in there , and they told us we couldn’t watch the PG13 movie. Our parent walked in and argued about the information on the website which was WRONG and they told us to get out. AMC is trash and YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE!!! Period.

First time visiting and in my opinion, it was very nice. Seats and floor was clean.

Good sound and screen. Seats could be improved but overall your regular old Cinema.

Yea service is unquestionably awful! They are understaffed both at the ticket booth and consessions stand, floors are dirty and sticky. I waited 20 minutes in line and over 30 minutes waiting for an order of fries as well as for the fountain drinks to be refilled as the machine was literally empty. They never even tried to take care of my order as the popcorn machines where down and at one point smoking and on fire. At the end I opted to ask for my money back and try to catch whatever was left of the movie only to be told to get in line- which was not worth waiting another 20 minutes. Finally, there is no security, anyone can just walk in without paying or with a weapon. Very disappointed, worst experience ever!!

I went in with my wife and son we purchased our 3 tickets then went in to the arcade since there was no one checking tickets, so while my son was playing we got called back to the front by security to verify the movie tickets and was told no one is there to verify tickets because its a tuesday. Im very disappointed I been coming here for years, I dont steal nor would I ever. This was by far the worst movie experience i ever had.

This one is closest to home but would stillPrefer the one at Norridge. This theater will have to do if the movie wasn’t shown in our favorite AMC. Best place to watch movie with younger kids because that seems to be the crowd here so you feel less guilty. Staff could be more attentive. I wanted some jalapeño for my nachos and the staff expected me to know where it was. Anyway, it’s still our second choice for an AMC movie theater.

The service was great, the movie started on time, the theatre was clean and i tried the new Mac, cheese and bacon Bowl and it was delicious

I give it a three star because you always get these families taking their screaming infants into movies. It makes it hard to enjoy movies. I dont understand why the theater sells tickets to people bringing little babies with them.

Its a nice theatre. Very cold. Bring a jacket in case you dont like sitting in an icebox. It was very loud. I stuffed paper in my ears. I enjoyed myself otherwise.

This is a great place to bring your kids. And what I mean is its cheaper than every other theater in the city and they still have new releases. If you are going to see a blockbuster get there early because it doesnt accommodate as many patrons as other theaters.

Was there about a month ago with a friend for a late night show. after we were leaving we saw a small rodent running behind the counter. did call and speak to management and they assured me the problem will be looked at. Another thing that is a major problem is to let people come to the show with their own personal snacks like big bags of chips, its rude to sit there trying to enjoy a movie only to have the people behind you crinkling their bags of chips when your trying to concentrate and enjoy the movie. I know most places wont allow this but this place does.VERY RUDE AND MANAGEMENT WAS NO HELP. NOT planning on going here again ever!

Its a nice movie theater to take the family to but bring a throw blanket or something because its definitely extra chilly so be prepared.

It has gotten a lot better than it was or I went at the less rowdy time. I was able to watch the movie with no Interruptions so that was good for me.

Cool place sound is not that great.

Convenient for the west side, plenty of parking and movie selections. Saw a 3D movie. Movie trailers ran for 35 min, people still coming in for another 30 minutes, talking and shining phone lights to find their seats. A good portion of the audience talked most of the time, paid no attention to the movie. Based on the disrespect of the crowd, maybe Id go back for a matinee, but not at night.

They have a little more food to choose from. Then popcorn and snacks

I have been here before but this Last visit was GROSS and it Stunk and it was filthy. From the parking lot to the inside the trash cans were over flowing . I honestly never seen a theater look dirty like this one I didnt even eat anything in there because I was terrified to put anything in my mouth from here and I will put almost anything in my mouth. Im hoping they deep clean this theater because its actually in a nice location... I was sad oh well Im back at ( LOGAN Theater )& Webster theater .... Clean & Friendly ....

There was a huge line and only one cashier. Waiting there for 10+ minutes was a nightmare when Im already late to see the film. BUT, The manager was awesome. She treated me like family. So nice, so friendly. I would go back, but early next time.

The price for the tickets were reasonable but the popcorn was expensive. It wasnt to crowded or loud.

Still feel some sort of way since my car was vandalized while I watching a movie there and never received a phone call from management or NOTHING! I pray that my insurance company investigates this matter. This incident costed me a $500 deductible.

Too many kids, the place is very dirty, the seats are uncomfortable. Will try not to return, only want there due to the time the movie I wanted to see started early enough in order to be in bed at a decent time.

I bought tickets in advance for my sons and daughter in law when we got to the movies our seats were taken . We asked the manager to please ask them to move since we bought the tickets online . Well her response was move to a different seat but those seats were also taken so instead of asking the people who where in our seats to please leave since they had no tickets they asked us to leave and gave us tickets for the 11:00 o’clock show, our tickets were for the 8:00 o’clock so we had to wait until 11:00 we did not get our money back or an apology whatsoever. I cannot believe this people can even respect their own rules what kind of a business is this . It’s ridiculous they have rules but don’t apply those rules. We had gotten food by 11 it was already cold we never got our money back or an apology.

Seats are faded/outdated. In general its not a place I would return to. The tickets were cheaper then other place. Not my cup of tea.

I am an avid movie goer. I see almost everything that comes out and this is my favorite place to see it. I absolutely love this theater and have been going there since they built it.I remember when no one really knew about it or people were scared to come into the neighborhood and I could go and have an entire showing of popular movies to myself. Naturally, a business cant survive that way, so Im glad that people are discovering it and bringing out their families to support it and the community.The theater is always fully staffed with competent and capable employees and security. The arm rests all let up in every theater. The seats are spacious and comfortable and lean back a little. Even the sound system is amazing and great for movies like Jurassic World or La Llorona where sometimes the sound comes to one speaker more loudly to enhance viewing experience and make it sound like something is behind you... (is that surround sound? Idk...) I appreciate that.They always have the latest movies, rarely have playback issues and are great about fixing any issues that may arise.I am super grateful this gem is here and I hope it stays for years to come. Im not crazy about the assigned seats thing they recently started doing... but it hasnt been a problem.

I hate the word ghetto it’s used to bring down people and it’s diminishing with that being said if u ask someone why they use that word you’ll get the very same reasons why I had a horrible time there... 10 min into the movie a family comes in with their phone flashlights looking for there seats making noise on top of that... there was someone talking at all times the guy behind me kept making remarks on the movie laud enough for the whole theater to hear, a group of kids walking in and out the theater, the only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because the place itself has no control over the stuff I’m complaining about. Definitely won’t recommend if you are anticipating a movie and hope that people have the decency to actually keep things to themselves

I love the cheap prices of the tickets, I take a 30 minute trip coming here for the prices because I pay for 4 and also necause the seats are decently comfy. The only thing I can say they can work on is cleaning up a bit better inside theater and out in parking lot.

Need new carpet, horrible salty popcorn, probably the worst Ive had at the show. The price is very competitive though and the cashiers were nice.

We usually buy our tickets online and theres not always someone to scan the phone to let you in so you have to wait in line behind people choosing seats and buying tickets still, which can take quite awhile. The consession staff also seem annoyed when you order something but I cant imagine its the most fun job so I just go about my day. Bathrooms and theatres are typically pretty clean and well maintained though. Cant ask for much more from a movie theatre.

We have been to this AMC theater about 4 times. It is a family friendly theater in that the price point for tickets are a lot less than OTHER AMC movie theaters. In other words, affordable especially for the matinee shows. Skip the popcorn, candy, soda pop and other junk they sell. Eat before or after the movie (or sneak in your own snacks).The parking lot is hit or miss -- parking can be a bit challenging at times especially when they are playing very, very popular movies (eg, The Avengers or anything related to Star Wars or other Super Hero movies). This AMC theater is fairly isolated and there isnt much nearby in terms of restaurants (unless you go to the Brickyard -- where you can find a few restaurants -- from Applebees to Burger King).This AMC has a fairly good variety/selection of movies. The theater is clean, but the washrooms are hit or miss -- sometimes they are clean and other times very disgusting -- so I STOPPED using their washrooms for this reason. I never know if it is going to be clean or disgusting.My 4-star review is based on going here more than 3 times. The parking lot can be a bit challenging. The snacks they sell are pricey (as most movie theaters are) and the washrooms can be hit or miss.

The service seems good at times. I dont go here a lot. Doesnt have anything special movie theaters. But any nice seats and rows. Still a good place to see a movie.

The attendant at the door was all alone and with a line to the door. She did her best without complaining. Her customer service was A+, but the theater needs to add workers to help her.

Havent been to this theater in years due to moving out of town and the price of a movie ticket. However we went for my birthday recently and were surprised at the reclining chairs and the quality of service! Plus their food prices are surprisingly cheaper than the Harkins theater we used to regularly attend. Now this theater is our favorite choice. Movies might be expensive but those seats are worth it!

It is extremely affordable and quite clean. The lines move and the fact that there are free refills on Popcorn and drinks is a family regular visit. The Free refills are on the Large for the popcorn and drinks. Great Time.

This theater always has the latest movies at very reasonable prices. The seats dont recline but the price is right. My daughter and I often frequent this place as it has inexpensive admission and is only one bus ride.

This is our neighborhood theater and I absolutely love coming to this theater because the prices are usually low enough for me to take all the kids there and their friends and we all have a good time. But they do need to monitor the theaters. During a movie opening the theatre is usually packed and theres always little pockets of seats that are not filled and then no one wants to move over to allow people to sit together.

This gem has some of the best surround sound in the city. Dont sleep on this inexpensive well maintained neighborhood gem.

Because they have a best selection of movies and doesnt have them up for months on out.

Went to watch a movie there for the first time and the experience wasn’t the best. The audience was really distracting by like smacking on their snacks too loud, being on their phones too often, and could hear other people whispering and talking way too much. I even had a little kid cry because we had went to watch a rated R movie at the time. Could barely concentrate on my movie so I had to rewatch it again at another AMC. Hopefully when I come on my second time to Galewood, the audience is courteous to others and be quiet during the movie. Lastly, the auditorium was filthy that barely anyone had clean their mess up

On. Good day, evening, weekend, very clean, pleasant movie experience. However some of staff could use customer service training. Date, Family night, or simply Me time. Galewood location isnt so bad.

Just waited 25 minutes in line to get nothing!! Two people working the registers and they not only take the orders they fill them as well! Line to the concessions forever long. By the time I get up to the front they are out of icee which is the only thing we were getting.Horrible staffing. Who ever is the manager does not know how to staff properly.

The customer service was AMAZING and the entire experience was good. We had a movie day and saw 3 movies, each in a different theater. The theaters were clean and the seats were comfortable. The deals on the tickets and food are remarkable. There were a ton of trailers (ranging between 7 and 10 movies) before each movie, so the start time was off by 15-20 minutes for each movie. Restrooms were mostly clean, just a few paper towels on the floor -- no gross pee smell or graffiti. Well be back!
