Course was in great condition and staff was more than helpful

Went to the range, you get to hit off grass instead of artificial turf. Large driving area with bunkers. Nice size putting area and a seperate chipping area that is sizable as well. Cant wait to play a round here.

Played 9 holes at a 2 hour pace, consistently waiting on the group ahead of us. Were greeted by a ranger named Mark after the 9th hole telling us that we were holding up the whole course. Tried to explain that we had just waited from #9 fairway for group ahead of us to clear green, and were called liars. Then pulled up to #10 tee with the other group still on the tee. Very very poor experience.

Great time, although while chipping (between 2 other older gentleman also chipping) a ranger comes out and says i thought this was the putting green, unless you have a divot repair tool with you (i did) but apparently only i needed to be called out. also there was no sign indicating this. and why just me? i have an idea why... Great course otherwise. Staff maybe needs to reevaluate their unconscious bias training again...

Loved the course my first time here.

Haborside International is a first class operation! You can always count on outstanding course conditioning and great service by the staff. You would never know that this course was built on an industrial landfill...there are no telltale signs such as vent stacks, etc. It is scenic and challenging with generous fairways however, missing a fairway and landing in the fescue rough will cost you dearly...if you even find your golf ball. The staff is always friendly and professional. The practice facility is one of the best in the Chicago area.

A true gem hidden in Chicago. The fairways like carpet and greens were like glass. Played most of the courses in the area and this is my favorite. If you are visiting or live in Chicago area its worth the experience

We had our sons engagement party here about a week ago and I must say that everything was wonderful. It was a pleasure working with Jake Clara during the planning process and the staff the day of was just wonderful. Thank you to Carolyn, Tanya and your staff for making this day so wonderful. All of our guest raved about how good the food was, so kudos to the chefs. I highly recommend Harborside for any event you may be planning, great food, ample FREE parking, and the location is great. As good as any public course in area....excellent conditions. Fairway and tee boxes like carpet. Greens rolled true. Open fairways but trouble all around. Lots of sand. Amazing views of Skyline. Really enjoyed and shot well. Will come back to play the Port course

Decent deal for the twilight only 62$ including carts with gps the course is fairly nice condition is pretty good but this is the slowest course I have ever played and the clubhouse is low class

Tee Time - 8:00 AM - 9.17.19The Bad (in order) #1. Maintenance of bunkers while we were playing, no marks off for this because the guys were VERY courteous and turned off the mowers while any of us were hitting or putting VERY PROFESSIONAL!!The Good -(In Order) -#1 Course Conditions = 9.0 Course, Fescus (Brutal), Rough was abt 4in deep, fairways were amazing as were the greens that were rolling to about a 10.#2 - Pace of Play - was great, granted we played early during the week but for us it was great!#3 - Views - Chicago Skyline, Lake Views, links style course so you could see ALOT of the course from the high point.#4 - Layout was amazing fun if you play the right tee box, I played the tips decent long (7150 yrds) fair landing areas but if you miss the rough the ball is GONE, fescue is very long and very deep!#5 - Nice Rentals that were actually what I ask for, I played 3 times in Chicago on this trip and this is the ONLY course that got the rentals right!!Final Word - Will Definitely play this course again, on this trip it beat out Ruffled Feathers and Old Oak Country Club, and I actually played worse on this course so maybe I just want revenge :) really surprised me to all the golfer I talked to that lived in Downtown Chicago that didnt even know about this course..Thanks All!!If this was useful please see my other post and like the ones that are good.

Loved the links style. Hospitality was exceptional, you could really feel that they appreciated your presence. Course is in tremendous condition and the full screen GPS monitors were a huge help as a first timer on the course. Distance from the city was appropriate and the view of the skyline was picturesque from several tee boxes. Well done gentlemen

Had a baby shower on Oct 21, 2018, the food was delicious. Everyone raved about it, especially the salmon. All the staff were pleasant and Carolyn the event coordinator was the best person I have ever worked with.

I used to love this course... now it’s a 5hr+ round, and the fescue is damn near unplayable. They used to spend the money to tend the course, but now not so much... it’s just not fun anymore. Look at the picture... good luck finding your ball just off the fairway.I paid for their anchor club; this will be the last time.

UNBELIEVEABLE! Two of Chicagos most spectacular golf courses. Bring your sunscreen as there arent any trees on these tracks. Unique, beautiful, fun and challenging. It is like Golden Tee came to life.

Well kept

Harborside Internationals two excellent golf courses, Port & Starboard, rated both 4-1/2 stars, are always popular layouts. In many respects Port and Starboard are peas-in-a-pod, both equally good, challenging and enjoyable courses to play. These open links-style layouts will not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy.

The port side was a good track. Challenging course Narrow fairways lined with bunkers. Some bunkers need more sand and the cart paths are poor, but this is a good course at a fair price.

Played the starboard course. Condition is mint. Perfect fairways, superb (and very fast...) greens and deadly rough! A really nice course. Only 4 stars, though, due to the fairly high price (86$ taxes included...) and no water on the course! First time I see this in the States. According to my playing buddy, the other course is even better, for the same price... Well worth visiting. Enjoy!

Nice courses, both of them. Best place to play in the city -- really good shape and not too far away from downtown. Also plays relatively quickly. Slightly expensive but worth it due to proximity and quality.

Best course in Chicago! The staff takes exceptional care of this facility. They could charge more and it would be worth it to golf here.

Former landfill turned golf complex, Harborside has just about everyone one could ask for.

Course is nice, service not so good. They made us play two different 9s on two separate courses, then charged us for a party 3 contest in which we never got to play that hole because they put us in the wrong course. Ugh....

Very nice,. everyone was nice and warm, polite, I felt very comfortable. The food was delicious. Im sure I will be back, thank you.

I visited the clubhouse yesterday for an Earth Day event and was quite impressed with the ambiance of the place. Staff were super friendly, the food was excellent and the surroundings very enjoyable out in the middle of the Lake Calumet region. This is a great place to host an event or take someone to lunch.

The layout is so spread out, you cant walk it and need a cart to get anywhere. There are two courses, but its basically the same over cooked course twice. Many holes feel like the same thing over and over. The fairway bunkers have a fair amount of rock/gravel and will chew up your clubs.The property had great potential but as one of the very few choices near the city its a disappointment. Cant imagine anyone coming up with this layout on that property today.

Great place to get something to eat in the summer. Has a nice patio and staff are friendly and nice.

Just played the Port golf course today. The tees, fairways and greens were in very good condition, except for #16 which was under repair. The facilities at the course are in need of upgrade. Practice range was overly crowded, basically no place to warmup before the round. The golf carts GPS system did not work, the cart seats were torn. The sand traps are a disgrace. They should just make them waste bunkers and give up on standard traps. The pace of play is awful. On the front 9 we had a 3-some that had 2 sets of clubs and they could only hit the ball about 5 yards. We started the wait on #1 and it continued through the round. On 15 we had 6 groups waiting to tee off. The marshall told us that there was a group ahead that was very slow. No kidding. The bag guys were gone when we finished at 345 pm. Went in to the clubhouse for a drink and there were no stools at the bar and the tables were set up for dinner. So, we left. The restrooms were dirty. There were no cups at the restroom/water stations on the course, only a fountain. It was 90 degs out there, so it would have been helpful to have a way to carry water on the cart. So, this is what $100 per round gets you in Chicago. No thanks.

Played here before and loved it. I just played it the weekend of Sept 19th and was terribly disappointed, it had rained the night before and the course was wet. I was totally prepared for that and was absolutely willing to cut the course some slack as a result but this was way worse than i imagined. Not a single sand trap was raked and all had nearly 18 of standing water in them. You would literally watch your ball roll into the trap and never find the ball because there was so much water you would be spending 10 min ranking through gross water trying to find it.For a hundred bucks a round you would think they would at least give you a heads-up that the course was nearly unplayable but not a word was said. Very sad as I loved this course (s) but will seriously reconsider playing here again as a result.

Me and this golf course go back 35 years, it’s built from the sh.ts I’ve been taking since a wee little boy. Remember, when u put that divot back, it probably ran through me.

Been coming here for years and each time someone on the staff has been rude. Ive met rattlesnakes nicer than the old guy in the driving range shop. Extremely Rude!!This is not Augusta you dont have to act as if Im doing you a favor by playing your course. In fact I am only playing because it is close to the city. Way over priced, and way rude.

I think when pay $100 to play a round of golf that my expectation is that Im not waiting at every hole. They had 450 players scheduled to play when I made the reservation and if they would have told me that I would have played somewhere else. Poor course management and greedy!! When I expressed my unhappiness they really didnt care.

Very satisfied with the. staff and managers at the affair we played live music for.

Course was in great condition. Bunkers a little inconsistent but you shouldnt hit in the bunkers anyway.
