Maria’s is doing a wonderful job keeping everyone safe from COVID. They had well spaced out indoor seating with numerous air purifiers. They also had hand sanitizer on every table. I’m impressed with their level of precautions. I felt very safe.

Got a regular cheeseburger and fries. Son got a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a Cherry Blossom Shake. All were greasy spoon worthy and we enjoyed it. The Cherry Blossom Shake was interesting and a different flavor, not sure we would get that again, but at least we tried it.Bonus for having my favorite crinkle cut fries!

Its hard to say how they really run due to the current situation. However all I can say is there Micheladas are really bad, really bland, tomato juice is very up front and takes over. There old fashioned was a little strong and served in a small paper cup. It really needed to be in a glass cup with ice. My friend couldnt finish it. Its on the pricey side for every drink.

You have got to go here. Eat the wings or the ribs that they deliver to your table from the restaurant next door.Have a cocktail. Have 3. Make mine a Mule. This place is many places all in one.Theres 2 bars: one is quiet, old, and sedate, where the seats are full of regulars.Around that bar you enter into a huge open area that has booths, tables, soap boxes, all on wheels to arrange whatever seating area you need for your group size, and a bigger newer bar. Too cool.Maria has let her 2 sons take over the place. So far its still the best bar in Bridgeport. They have a liquor store at the entrance. Do not look up at the row of ventriloquist dummies. You will not sleep well if you stare into their eyes too long.

When you first look at this spot, it seems like a run of the mill grocery or convenience mart. However, behind the curtain, there is a full on bar that brews its own beer. The cocktails are good and the brews are worth it. There used to be a pie shop next door that was top notch, but even with it gone, there is nothing that limits this being a great spot to wet your whistle. I would recommend coming here

Always have a great time here. Love that there is indoor and outdoor seating as well as ample space. Well over 20 beers on tap and most are local to the Midwest. Prices are very reasonable ($5-8 for beer, $5 happy hour cocktails) but I havent ever tried food from Kimskis. As far as I know you can still bring your own food though. Free parking in the area!

Inter Marias through the Bottle Shop offering a wide variety of beers and other Liquors. Then you enter into the old original bar and can stay there or walk into the newly renovated space which includes an outdoor patio. Order food from the on site deli. The serve beer, wine, draught cocktails, and other bar classics. The place can really get hopping on weekend nights.

Sometimes I DJ here on the 11-year monthly night Oddities from the numbered streets. The physical layout/developments have really expanded up since that night began! Oh geez. This place was the first bar we went to in Chicago and it is the last one we went to while staying. Highly recommend this place. Beer on tap is impressive. 24 taps. Marz community brewing is hands down a favorite, brewed down the road on 35th. And being from the hop Capitol of the world, Marz brewery is legit. Try the cryocrag if they have it! You can also buy beer to go.

Its a good place to have a couple drinks, nothing special or spectacular. The lobby/store at the entrance is great and fun, with a vintage ambiance, decorated with vintage dolls, bottles etc. It gives you a nice feeling as soon as you walk in. They have a little area with tables and chairs were you can play board games.

What a weird and wonderful place! Its a delightful mish-mash of styles and vibes, first you enter through a liquor store and arrive into what seems like a classic Chicago wood-paneled dive. If you turn the corner you end up in something that feels more like mid 90s LA shopping mall food court (in a good way). Keep going and you hit a Polish/Korean junk-food kitchen. One of a kind and an experience unlike any other.

This place has awesome vibe! There were times when I came here every weekend, and each week it feels like a different place. What remains the same is their awesome bartenders and their knowledge in making great cocktails and their selections of beer & whiskeys. The back patio is a lovely place to hang out in the winter; when its slightly too cold, while the 100 proof bourbon washes down your throat and leaves you slightly too drunk in the best way. Some of my best memories were made here.

Ive been here a few times and I really like the hidden away-ness of the place. Theres a store up front when you first walk in and then the bar is behind it. I guess thats not a really big deal but I like the feel of it.The vibe of the bar is nice, kind of a mix of old-man bar and hipster (maybe leaning more toward the latter). Beer list is pretty good and the place is dimly lit and comfortable. However, does it really need to be so loud inside? I mean, theres like 15 people inside and the music is blasting so loud I have to scream to the people across the table from me. Maybe Im the old man but it just seems unnecessary and kind of unfitting to the vibe.Last time I was there I got to enjoy the back-back bar, where there is outside seating. This time there was super super loud dance music back there that shook the entire place. I kind of dont understand that in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday. Not exactly what I was looking to get into, but we stayed anyway because, hey, its a bar and we came to drink. When Im down there its basically the place that I go, but otherwise Im not really making the trek to Bridgeport from Uptown to go down there.

In the time that Ive been going to Marias it has transformed from a divey hole in the wall with a bottle shop to one of the most popular bars on the Southside. A place where you can get some of the best beer and cocktails in an area thats not necessarily known for its nightlife. The crew here is always easygoing, helpful, and knowledgeable about what they have to drink. For those looking for something unique, peruse Marias cellar, a cooler packed with some of the best out-of-production beers that you can find. They can be a bit pricey, but there are some very interesting selections regularly available.

I went to Marias back in the day, when it was still a legit neighborhood dive. It is amazing to see the transformation it has taken over the past few years. Completely renovated into a speakeasy-style pub with lots of flair. There is nothing to dislike about this place.Upon entering you are greeted with a respectable variety of local, national and craft brews. The front acts as liquor store. If you venture further past the hidden door into the bar you will find more amazing pints, all at fair prices. They typically have a variety of music and two(!) back porch areas.I wish I lived closer so I could make this my regular stop. VERY RECOMMENDED!

Pretty solid place here. They have some good craft cocktails and decent seating. I went to the patio for lack of space and then moved outdoors cos the inside was so loud. Its a general bar. I found the bartenders a little short and not really friendly but they gave me what it needed so minus points for that. The bar doesnt have table service so you have to get your drink at the bar and eventually bus yourself. I had the corpse reviver- I liked it since it was fresh and not super bitter. Plus point- they let the people from pleasant house next door serve you so you can have a drink and food together.
