Went to my buddys wedding here which apparently this was the first time theyve put on a wedding and it was good. The basement venue for the ceremony was actually really cool and then drinks and finger foods on the main level following the ceremony. They opened the basement back up for a dance floor later. They have a mix of ciders and wine. The cider slushies are phenomenal and the half marathon is your grape jelly wine. If youre looking for a quaint spot to hold a wedding or just a place to grab some good beverages then come here.

Loved the atmosphere and wine selection! The woman who served me was very knowledgeable and friendly! Would definitely recommend making the stop if youre in the area!

Seriously the best business and the best owners ever! They are always super accommodating and are handling business through the pandemic in the most professional manner. We always love their events (especially the Easter Egg Hunt!) and the wines are top notch! I just wish we lived a little closer in order to frequent them more often, but we always stock up when we are able to stop by. Try the wine slushies; you wont be disappointed!

Settled in their new location on the corner, Running Vines is a fantastic place to grab a glass of wine and a small bite to eat. Staff are friendly, service is exceptional, and wine flavorful and unique. Highly recommended!

My fiancé proposed with a bottle of wine from here and it did not disappoint! We came back about a year later and they were so excited to meet us and hear our story. Very genuine employees here! To top it off, the wine is amazing. Loved every one that we tasted! Will be coming back soon for sure!

Great place. Not big in wine but the wife is . Nice and cozy place. No rush and service was great. Food and drink were good as well.

A great Place. Aftermath and Running Vines are both pretty awesome places to go. They have good food at both locations. Trivia at aftermath is a blast. Always a pleasant experience!

We absolutely love going to Running Vines! We are always welcomed like we are one of the family and they actually seem to care about helping me find the perfect libation! I think the new space is absolutely perfect and is a great addition to the downtown Chesterton scene.

This was our second time there. Nicki the owner helped us with our wine tasting. She was a lot of fun to talk with and hear about how the winery got started. If you havent made a stop by Running Vines then you are missing out! There dry red wines are amazing! They are in there very cool new location across the street from where they previously were. Do yourself a favor and stop in here and do a wine tasting, you wont be disappointed!

Great selection of wines! Good Charucturie tray and friendly service. The only thing I would suggest are more comfortable seats.

RV has the best wine I’ve every enjoyed, the greatest staff and owner, and delicious food! Support local businesses and try this place out, you will not regret it!

Matthias was amazing!!! He should fill-in more often! My honey and I went for the first time ever. He was very knowledgeable and funny. We had great conversation with him! The Running wines are all good-we bought two bottles. We bought the Marathon and the Tri. The flat breads are like small pizzas--so good. We had the pear one. The goat cheese dip is good too. We had just enough food for our tasting. Tasting is $6 for 6 very good pricing. The Cyclone Cider is amazing. We could not buy because they did not have the topper for the bottles, BUT I wanted to take home like three bottles, it was that good! We decided to join their wine club and we were able to try the Witchs Brew...it was good...we took a bottle home. Try this little spot!We will be back!!!

Very friendly staff and a great selection of wines and ciders. The owner is a competitive runner, so different award medals are hung up as decoration, and they are super fun to look at! We will definitely be stopping by again the next time we are in the area!

If youre traveling up I-94 towards Detroit, get off at the Valpo, Chesterton exit and stop by this place.I really didnt know much about this place before visiting. A search through Google showed me this place. The owner is a runner (1 plus), its 40 mins travel time from me (2 plus), they have wines called sprint, half marathon, marathon and triathlon (3 plus), its a vegan restaurant right up the street (time to go!) So Running Vines was the choice for my girl and I to visit on a Saturday evening. Pleasantly surprised is not accurate enough to describe the experience we had last night. The visit was so amazing we ended up joining the wine club. Chris was an excellent sommelier! He asked what our preference was as far as taste and proceeded to describe each choice in such detail that I was able to visualize the process in my head.My favorites were the ale infused with watermelon called summer and triathlon. (I really liked marathon as well too!) They also had live music and it was great. Dan Reisen had his guitar and was singing some great songs.They also have a back patio and allow smoking out there. Me and my girlfriends had the patio to ourselves and was able to enjoy some good cigars and great wine. Im so glad we stumbled upon this place on Google, we will definitely be back!

Running Vines has a great selection of wines with an incredibly friendly atmosphere. I really enjoy visiting on Friday nights when there is live music, with everything from piano to country. Its the perfect spot in town to grab a glass of Merlot and enjoy casual conversation with friends and strangers alike. Chesterton is lucky to have a spot like this. Its community building businesses like this that make living in Chesterton so special.

My team from Northwest Indiana Center for Dental Implants and I (Dr. John Frazee) just had our Christmas party at the winery. This place has some of the best wine I have ever tasted!!!
