I go by Regal on a regular basis. The other day I noticed a man putting a sign up on the marquee of the theater which is temporarily closed. Today, I decided to stop by there after going to a bank which was nearby to see what the sign says. Basically what the sign says is NO MOVIES FOR YOU! because of a COVID19 shutdown order from the state of NY. So 5 stars in hopes for a soon reopening of the Regal and hopes for better days ahead for us all...

Its an older theater, but I like that, its very clean and all of the employees on Oct 2nd 4pm crew were very polite and upbeat. Ill be back (and bringing friends) to see the Joker movie when it comes out this weekend.

My parents and I saw The New Mutants in this theater.The good news is: The movies are back in Virginias movie theaters!

Weve been to this theatre many times. One major plus is there never seems to be a huge crowd in the theater. Even on opening weekend for Frozen 2, the theater was not full. Prices for concessions seem ridiculously high. Personally I prefer theatres where you can choose your seat, and even more so, the places with leather reclining seats. But this is fine for a backup & not dealing with crowds

I have always enjoyed coming to this theatre. But today when I brought my family, the management (which continues to decline in excellence) decided to merge ticket purchasing with concessions.So instead of being to purchase our tickets and enjoy our movie, we waited in line needlessly for over 25 minutes to get tickets and we’re late for our movie.Note to management: literally everyone in the line was extremely perturbed that they could not simply purchase their tickets. If you want to see this location continue to grow for another generation, start making changes and having managers on duty who are available.

I really enjoy going to watch a movie the day b4 its official release, usually a school day and theater is not full and nice and quiet. The quality on the 3D movies could be better, lots of blurry moments in Frozen II. The theater itself is average on a scale of Poor-Great.

Good old fashioned theater. Nothing fancy about the seats or theater. However, the temperature was good, the popcorn was good and the movie was good. Thought it was bad to require getting the ticket at the concession stand on a Saturday night. Good time overall.

Not too happy with our latest experience, took the kids to see frozen 2, for a 1025 showing, movie didnt start until after 11, if they wanted to combine two different showings, thats fine but please communicate those intentions. Having two small children sit still for a movie is difficult enough, but dont tack on 35 minutes.

Saw a matinee movie. The theater was clean and comfortable (although the seating was a tad narrow - in width and leg room). The popcorn was hot (although you cant add your own extra butter, the staff do it for you) and ther drinks were cold. I didnt pay the extra for am IMAX or 3D movie, but the sound and picture KGB a regular screen were good.

I went to see a movie there yesterday. To my surprise there was no box office! Tickets were being sold at the concession stand where there were lots of people in line. This was a huge inconvenience. Imagine trying to make a start time of a movie while waiting in line behind someone placing a food order. It was a mess. It made absolutely no sense. Other patrones in line were also confused as to why it was set up this way. Bad move Regal.

Didn’t like the fact you had to buy your movie tickets at the concession stand. It slows the whole process. The seating in the theatre wasn’t the greatest. On the top rows they had seats on the left and right sides and then stairs smack in the middle. Only the very bottom had seating like a normal theatre should have. Kind of odd to have stairs dividing the seats. Also there was hardly any leg room. People could barely squeeze by you if they wanted to sit farther down the row than you.

Clean , good service. I just prefer the recliner seating at Harbor View location

Will never go there again. Genius who thought about combining concessions and ticket lines needs to be fired!

Got there at 12:30 to buy tickets for 1:00 movie. They thought it would be a great idea to sell the tickets at the concessions instead of at the front as it used to be. 50-60 people all in various lines, after 15 minutes with no movement in the lines we gave up and left. Shouldn’t be that hard to get butts in seats, but they found a way. Won’t ever be going back to that theater.

The purchasing of tickets was a huge inconvenience. You had to purchase tickets from the concession line which took a long time because people of course were buying concessions. The staff seemed overwhelmed and frustratedas well. Corporate should change their policy. The theater was not cleaned and not a lot of leg room but the movie quality and sound was good.

The movie was good, but the theater really needs to be run a bit better. Saw a 3pm show on Saturday of a 3-Day Holiday weekend, and they were out of napkins (required for the greasy popcorn with the butter-flavored oil), and they were out of a couple of other concession items. I could see if they were running low on Monday, but no excuse to be that low on things that early. Would rather drive to Edinburgh to enjoy the competing theater there, as out is much better organized.

The food service attendants behind the registers seemed to unfamiliar with a few customers questions and or orders. Unnecessary amount of time was being wasted answering questions that could of been answered by the front ticket booth. Overall; customer service was great and hospitable.

First time at this theater, it was old but that wasn’t a problem for me. It was clean and I didn’t have any issues finding a great seat in the theater. Popcorn and snacks were pricy. But that’s any movie theatre now. Only thing I could complain about would be the theater being abnormally warm. Overall great place and would definitely come back. ️

Its a nice convenient little theater. Has a few large and small auditoriums. All theaters are expensive now so theres no comparison there. Close to interstate, mall and a variety of restaurants.

We saw Toy Story 4 with a 2 yr old. The staff were very helpful and provided a booster seat so he was comfortable in his own chair. I didnt even know to ask for one. It wasnt crowded. Great parking spot. Great family outing.

This place has gotten a bad wrap from a few locals when I asked about it but I’ve had nothing but great experiences when I’ve gone there. The place is always clean, the staff is always kind and helpful, and the environment is safe for the family.

Food and drinks are way to high of a price, but I get it, business is business. I come here on night hours, its more quite and no hassle. This is a good place for a movie date with friends, girls friends, etc.

We do not like buying tickets at the concession stand. We always buy popcorn and drink but do not like waiting in long lines to buy tickets. Too slow a process.

I love the movies! This has cheap prices just to get in! The popcorn and accessories can be quite expensive especially if you have a large family going, but anyway, I reccomend going here for a little movie weekend.

We go all the time, with kids, grand kids, and great grands to see all their new movies. Free refill on our large popcorn, earn free stuff with our Regal card. Close to home, friendly service. We also got drinks and candy.

Matinee prices were more expensive than the Chesapeake Square Regal and the theater is not as nice. I guess they feel like they can charge more because of location. Food is the typical astronomical theater pricing..... $8 large popcorn and $7 large soda. My biggest concern is the volume of the movie we went to see. It was so loud that it actually hurt my ears (pain) during certain scenes. My ears rang for 2 days afterwards. They could get the same effect without the piercing noise. Wasnt very impressed with this place....

Well, its usually great. But they seem to have following off the wagon. Ticket purchase & concession stand are now the same, LOT of confusion!! Theater # 5 was full of trash! Considering other theaters in the future!

This is not my go to stop for movies but I will say this: customer service here is awesome. They are helpful, accommodating and super friendly. I know if I have an issue, it will be addressed quickly which I cant say for a lot of places.

Lots of theaters to accommodate large crowds. The movie I wanted to see wasnt sold out. Although as soon as I walked in I noticed a strange old like smell. Maybe its time for an upgrade at this location Regal.

Went mid day to catch lower pricing and less crowds. Theater is nice, but newer theaters in the area have made this venue feel dated. Ive never been a fan of the cost of food at the concession stand but I guess that is where the theater makes money. Plenty of parking makes this theater accessible.

What was once state-of-the-art is now a relic showing its age. You can see the over-paint all over the place. Carpets are dull. Bathrooms not maintained well. There are only a few good seats in the big theatres so get there at least 30 minutes early. The seats have very little leg room and dont plan on reclining because these seats were installed before reclining seats were in Vogue at movie theaters. The movie prices are the highest in town, as is every snack, popcorn, etc. The only high mark is the sound quality.

Old tired theatre, had to buy tickets at the concession stand which created chaos and longer lines for concessions, popcorn tasted ok, movie played, but seats are old.

My only two concerns is you now have to purchase tickets at the concession stand. So now you late for the movie. Second its time to remodel your seats. I hate that I have to go to Mcarthur mall.

Someone thought it would be a good idea to have the ticket sales also done at the concession stands. If you buy your ticket online and you only want popcorn, you will have to wait as parties of 5 or six people decide what time they want to watch the movie and then you have to wait for them to get their snacks and then the people after them and the people after them.... I guess it makes sense financially for them to do this but its a huge inconvenience if you just want popcorn and you already have your tickets. Had to go in and sit down in the theater to get good chairs and wait till all the movies had started to go out again to get some popcorn.UPDATE: Just came in on 11/23 for a movie and the ticket counters are opened. The lines for the concession stands are almost nonexistent. I asked the girl behind the ticket counters and she explained that due to Frozen 2 being out they opened the ticket counters. I guess they were waiting for a rush. Upped the rating since they at least acknowledged the fact that having the ticket counters opened has an effect.

Went to see Star Wars Episode 9 with my husband on a Thursday night at the 7:30 show opening week and the theatre was trashed. None of the employees were keeping it clean, but they were teenagers. They didnt even sweep the hallways after we got out of the movie. Bathroom stalls were running out of toilet paper.

First off, if you advertise a movie time to start at 6pm, thats when it should start. At 625pm after watching 40 mins of trailers, i stepped out of the theater to ask when the movie might start. Apparently at this theater if the customer asks a question that sounds like a complaint, it is met with rude comments and eye rolling from the primarily teenaged staff. Also, the gentleman at concessions was engrossed in his cellphone and after a minute realized he had a customer and said I can take you here. Bad customer service that appears to be a lack of any adult leadership. Do yourself a favor and if you want to watch a movie, go elsewhere.

Perfect temp clean and the ticket guy helped Us carry Our food to Our seats since I cant see well and My Son is disabled. Young and VERY RESPECTFUL AND KIND. Much appreciated¡¡

Havent been to this theater in years it has not faired well, the theaters are old, small and smelly and the ticket discounts that all the other regal cinemas have are not welcome here the young lady informed me that the tickets are pre discounted but when I advised her that I usually pay 750 she said it was because to many military are in the area so the dont have any discounts. Nice thing to hear from a theater in the shape its in, their not using the full price tickets on remodeling and such disrespect to our men and women who defend us every day. Anyway its a short drive to other regal cinemas that are well maintained and have several ticket options.

Im running out of movies to watch... Smh lol Matinee all day Monday thru Thursday! Even a bigger discount on Tuesdays including the popcorn!!!

The movie we saw knifes out a murder mystery was really good didnt know who did it till the Very end.The theater was clean and employees where friendly and did a good job.

I go here all the time. Whenever I go see a rare 3D Showtime and the effect was not turned on, a member always manages it immediately.Plus, the snacks and The Crown Club are top notch.

Worst service ever experienced there. Popcorn was over done and had tons of little broken pieces tasted burnt. Terrible. I give only half star if I could. Really went downhill.

Nice theater; many movies due to multiple screens

Okay Regal location, needs improvement. The movies and service are good, the temperature inside the theaters is comfortable, and the food and snacks are good. The theater itself is not well maintained; restrooms are disgusting and the floors and hallways are strewn with trash every time I come here. Tickets are now only available at the concession stand. Needs better upkeep and organization.

If you want just a tixket you need to be there an hour ahead of time to get your ticket from the popxorn line

The theater is ok, nice people and such, but its old, no luxury seating, and the theaters are really small. For this to be a Regal theater, in a busy part of Chesapeake, it should definitely be upgraded.

Excellent sound quality, went to the 5:10 showing of Annabelle and, obviously because of the time, myself and my better half were the only ones in the theater. Perfect time to check it out for those of you that are like me and have social anxiety and paranoia

So, we all know going to the movies is expensive. Once youve accepted that fact and dont let it bother you anymore, Regal really is a great theater. Clean, friendly staff, and well organized. What else can you ask for?

Although the theater is nice and clean with a low price, I still prefer the more comfortable stadium seating. The theater we were in was very small, but still accomplished a good movie experience.

Purchased my tickets on Fandango scanned my app and went in. Easy peasy. The food is expensive as per usual. Nothing exciting about movie theater popcorn and nachos. We spent nearly $30 on snacks for two adults and a 12 yr old. We were late so we had to sit close. But it wasnt unbearable. The sound and graphics were what I would expect from a Regal Cinema. The building is a bit dated but it was clean and well maintained.

Thought the place was a bit shabby and outdated. Needs work.Screen was high. Floor didnt slope. Really small theater. And annoying red exit sign shined on bottom corner of movie. Sound seemed a bit off. Not very modern and really pricing for the experience.

The seats arent very roomy and you have to fight your neighbor for an armrest. Other than that a great place to see a movie

Tried to go to Harriet on Saturday the 2nd at 1:00pm. They have instituted something new since I was last there. You have to buy your ticket at the concession counter. Half the concession counter was open. Three lines were 15-20 people deep. I had gotten there at 12:50, left at 1:00 when it seemed I would be another 10 to 15 minutes in line. Regal shouldnt force people who only want a ticket to wait a a prohibitivly long snack line. Thanks Regal for reminding me why I have Netflix!

Great Place! I ordered a large popcorn and it was good quality. The Restrooms service could use some work on keeping it clean.

This is a decent theater. The theaters are small and split into left and right sides. I feel its a good and a bad thing. The good is, much less people than most theaters. The bad, you cant get center seats and its difficult to see a new movie unless you buy tickets way in advance. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and playful. Ill likely be going again.

Movie was supposed to start at 4:30. Didnt start until 4:56...almost 30 minutes of commercials and previews. REALLY?!?

Awesome renovations; however the aisle are very small for patrons to pass to get or leave from their seats. PLEASE pack your patience when ordering from the concession counter. The workers are very polite & accommodating but the order takes forever to be filled!!

No reclining seats, small cramped theater rooms, sticky floors. Always have cops there. Definitely can get more bang for your buck at other movie theaters. That being said, they do have cheap nights/days and if you are part of the club you save on other nights. Unfortunately for me ive always gone at a time when all teens would go...so there was always some kind of drama.

All I wanted was a little popcorn and a cup of water. But they cant do that apparently, so I had to pay FIVE DOLLARS for a regular 20 fl oz bottle of Dasani. I shouldve gone to 7-11 and paid a dollar and sneak it in...
