Nice little park with easy trails for kids. It was quiet, peaceful and real easy to walk the trail loop. The only complaint I have is I wish people would be respectful of others and clean up after their dogs. I saw so many doggy doo piles; you really have to watch your step. My daughter wasnt so lucky and stepped in a meadow muffin. So disrespectful to not clean up after you pets! Bottom line, the park is nice; dog owners, not so much.

Fantastic winding Trail with many options. Very scenic hike along the way. Perfect for beginning and intermediate hikers who are just out for a good work out walk and some fresh air.

We love going on hikes at Thanksgiving Forest. The kids love observing the beaver dam on the pond, the different kinds of bird and whatever animal treco they can find. Super easy terrain to hike on and it connects with one of the trails at Great Brook State Park. You can print a map from the Town of Chelmsford website and have it on hand to follow the trails .

Love to get outside and go for a walk and walking the trails in this park, do the trick for me. Trails lead you past a horse farm, large ponds and open fields. On the weekends, there are usually many people in the forest walking with their dog(s).

This town forest is great for a easy hike with the kids. We went as part of a decorated tree hunt in town, however we also go in the summer, there are a few geo cashes. It seems like its a popular place for dog walkers, my son calls it the dog poop place because of the abundance of dog poop bags near the parking lot. There is a large rock area along the blue trail that tue kids like to climb on and explore. Its easiest to get to if you take a right at the entrance. You can also get into great brook from here.

Peaceful and a brisk walk through the woods, but do be ware of the large amounts of horse poop scattered through out the trails. The only downfall to hiking in the Thanksgiving forest is the horse poo every where.
