Lovely spot to take a break while riding the Bruce Freeman trail! My son enjoyed the swings. Porta-potties were clean and helpful. Well definitely return to check out the swimming in the summer!

Good place for small gathering and big fun. Also connects with the trail going to Acton and Chelmsford.

Visited this beach for the first time because we didnt feel like going all the way to the ocean and many other lakes are for town residents only. Its nice that there is no fee to park or use the beach. There seemed to be adequate parking right next to the rail trail and, at the time we were there, half the lot was in the shade so that was a plus. It is a pretty small beach, but we went on a Monday so it wasnt too crowded. There is a roped-off section of the water where youre allowed to swim and there is a lifeguard. The water is quite shallow in the designated area - maybe only 3 feet. Fun for kids, but not ideal for adults looking to swim. There were some people taking out paddle boards and kayaks, and its a nice big pond, so if youre looking to do an activity like that this would be a good place. One fun little bonus was that the ice cream truck came by

Heart Pond is the perfect place to spend the afternoon, walk your dog to, and bring your kids to. Its small, so it works great for a casual beach day. It has swings, picnic tables, a porter potty, and a lifeguard during certain months. Its beautiful and right on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail!

Went for the first time in July. The kids had fun. It was nice and small. And tied off with lifeguards. Small cute play area for little kids and a tire swing. There was a trail but we didnt go up it. People were friendly.

Its a nice small pond with a swimming area and a lifeguard. There is no public restrooms just 2 Port O Potties but there is a Mobile gas station at the entrance of the lake with a Dunkins and Restrooms inside.

Re

Beautiful pond. Type in heart pond beach for route and not heart pond. As heart pond leads to private property which one should not be venturing into. The water is clear. Ample space for parking, wheel chair accessible, kids friendly, public toilet, dogs on leash. You will pass the Bruce Freeman trial from around the lake.

A wonderful town beach that is guarded (at least on weekends). Its sunny but behind the beach there is shade and picnic tables. Its adjacent to a rail trail, which is fairly long. Parking is available, probably for thirty cars. There is also a place to launch kayaks, paddle boards, etc.I only gave it four stars because the roped in area is no deeper than three and a half feet.

It a nice quiet place to go with your family for a swim. They have a bike trail thereyou can go down on your bike or go walking. Boating and fishing is allowed also. My girls loved all the shells they found there. I found a baby catfish that was half the size of my pinkie finger. Definitely will be going back again soon

Best part is that its free to park, no sticker needed, just drive in. Beach is small and the roped off swimming area is tiny, but the lifeguard didnt give us any grief for being outside of it. Its nice to know there is a place we can get into the water when all the bigger beaches are full.

Ro

Small and dirty pond. The beach was closed for a couple days due to ecoli burst. It would be a good place for triathlon training if you will be allowed to swimming to open water starting from the beach, but you are not allowed while to do that while the lifesaver is on duty. We were told that if we want to swim while the beach is open we need to find a spot from were we can take off far away from the beach so the lifesaver will not be responsible for our safety . I find that rule ridiculously restrictive. Our other option was to swim after dusk without a lifesaver watching.

Hart pond provides an opportunity for people to enjoy swimming in season, picnicking, walking the trail, or just relax by the water. Unfortunately, not everyone who frequents this area is respectful of the environment or keeping the noise level of their parties at a modest level. Based on this my star rating is lower than I would like it to be.
