Its a better park during non-COVID summers. This summer and during the rest of the year, its a pretty typical playground. My kids love the merry-go-round, which you cant find very often anymore. The water/splash part of the park is really the highlight, though (in my opinion). My kids loved it, and it was clearly what Drew the most attention in the park.On our most recent visit (October 2020), we were going to walk one of the trails, but quickly came across a dead deer and I decided against it.

Small neighborhood park with parking. 1 space for handicapped. Lots of swings and playground equipment for kids. Picnic tables under shade trees and under covered pavilion. Charcoal grill next to pavilion. No reservations necessary. Covid-19 protocols in place as of mid-July 2020. Restrooms and water features are closed.

My favorite place to take the kiddos. They’ve added a nice merry go round, see-saws, and a new bridge in the woods. The splash park is a nice way to cool off on hot summer days. Parking is limited on busy days and picnic shelter is first come first serve.

Great little park! Its got a nice playground and pavilion, as well as a splash pad. I only wish that the mothers who congregate there would keep an eye on their children better. They spend more time gabbing at the pavilion than watching their kids; and many of the older kids get out of control on the splash pad, running over the little ones. There needs to be more concern for others.

This is the best park in cville. Water play area, several play structures, a pavilion, and plenty of space to run. Not to mention tons of shade. Definitely a fantastic place to bring the kids. Parking is tight, so you may have to street park if you come during busy times.

Beautiful Park. From the parking lot, one side of the park featured play equipment for preschool children and restrooms , a covered pavilion with picnic tables, and several benches. The other side of the park featured asphalt walking or jogging trails. No litter, plenty of available trash cans including one in the parking lot. That might account for the very clean area with no litter that I saw.

Two 5 year old GK had a great time. 10 & 8 year old GK were sad that they had to go elsewhere & couldnt stay. Appreciated availability of a Port-a-potty, since other facilities were not open. Wish we would have brought their scooters.

I love to take my two toddlers here for several reasons. First, its located in a quiet neighborhood behind houses. I like that its safely away from roads but still has a parking lot. Second, the playground equipment is small enough I dont worry about my 3 year old falling and getting hurt. It also has a nice size splash pad and covered picknick area. Bathrooms are available and a drinking fountain.

The splash park is great for cooling off with little ones in the summer. The parking lot is typically full, so be prepared to park on the street near by.

This park is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and has a splash pad for little kids in the summer. The playground is nice and clean with plenty of benches and picnic tables in the shade. There are separate play areas big and little kids, a Merry go round, teeter totters, baby swings and big kid swings. We love coming here and my kids are always making new friends here.

Our favorite park in Charlottesville!! Clean and well kept!! My children love coming here, and I must admitt that I do as well!! Everyone we have met while visiting is extremely nice, most are close neighbors to the park. Parking can be a little tight, but its easy enough to find some where close by to park, if youre unable to get into the parking lot.

Great playground activities for all ages. There are always other kids here to play with. This park doesnt really have trails for walking or biking. The bathroom hasnt been unlocked all winter and so an accessible portapottie has replaced it in the parking lot.
