Great drinks (my fav is the house special, the nickelodian) and fun games. a little pricey for sure but totally worth the the trip!

A fun, nostalgic visit that provides a few good drinks and a gaming-centric atmosphere, a sociable one. I think they have something going for them but it seems a little empty and I dont know how much I like the token game as an adult. The art on the walls is truly original with a throwback and melting pot flare.Prices seemed kind of high for the drinks and staff was just okay. I didnt drink much due to the lack of attention.

I went for the first time last night (Feb 29). I appreciated the fact that it was free to get in. Especially since it was Charlottes last CIAA and everyone else was price gouging. I dont know who the DJ was but he was On Point!! I was sweating! There were games to play if you needed a break from dancing. I took off a point because there were a couple of cleanliness issues that had to be brought to managements attention. They were handled promptly though.

Simply amazing. Adult beverages along with throwback video games, makes for an awsome night.

My company had an after work function where they provided coins to play games and appetizers. Their service was descent. There was plenty of staff around and they were attentive. The food wasnt bad at all for bad bar food. They had these little pizzas rolled like a cinnamon roll that were very delicious.

Such a cool bat. Laid back and nice. Attended a gathering here to see a MMA fight and the crowd was nice. People are cool, the owner is dope and I I cant wait to go back. A lot of TVs bartenders are quick and thorough. Not a long wait even when its jam packed. Awesome bar

Cool 90s vibe bar and arcade. Lota of different choices. All games take tokens, which can be purchased at an old school token exchange machine. The manager was super nice and our service was quick. Went on a Tuesday night after a hornets game and it had patrons, but wasnt overly crowded. All games were available right away or within a few minutes. Will definitely be back.

Fun atmosphere. Old school arcade. Some of the games listed on their website werent there when I went. A couple of machines froze up on us, but we got assistance and our tokens back immediately.

Luckys has some classic arcade games and pinball machines. Full bar and plenty of TVs. This is a great use of the space that for years was Bar Charlotte I think. The games are relatively expensive compared to NoDas Abari. However this is a more upscale and lively atmosphere. It has a nightclub feel with awesome games

Spacious bar. Some old school games. We went there before it got busy. Basketball game is quite fun.

My company rented Lucky’s out for a private event. It was a very cool place for a party. The staff was nice. It was a very fun venue!

If you are on a pub crawl or just out bar hopping make sure you do not pass up checking out Luckys Bar & Arcade! This is a really cool concept that has been alive and well for years. You go and play a video game while you eat and drink. The customer service at this place is very great also.

Really chill retro gaming bar. Freaking awesome place to hang and drink. Great bar tender service. They hosted Grandpoo Bears Speed Run event and had a blast.

My wife and I went there with 12 friends of ours for a birthday party and at first glance the place is ok. Nothing like the Pinball Museum in Asheville. Which by the way, if you’re ever there you should go. It’s well worth the visit. As for Lucky’s, it had a number of the classics but I was disappointed the selection was so limited. While there I saw that the Galaga game was the game of the month and that you could win $100 if you beat the high score. It was only 309,000 give or take a few and I new that wouldn’t be hard to beat so I went over to play but there was a young gentleman already on the game. So I waited a while but he apparently put a number of coins in the machine and just kept playing. The highest I saw him get was a little over 100k. His girlfriend was just standing there watching him play game after game and she noticed I was kind of hanging around but never acknowledged me. No worries. I figured he would eventually leave. Well, to my surprise he never left the game and after 2 straight hours my wife decided to ask him if he was going to be done anytime soon. He said no.Long story short, the guy was being a real tool and wouldn’t let anyone else get on the game. So I asked the manager to help. When I explained the situation I was completely shocked when he said he wouldn’t do anything since the guy was a paying customer. I reminded him that I was with the large party and he could care less. All I can say is that we were thinking about having our sister in law’s 40th birthday party there with about 20+ of us but after this experience I will never visit this place again.There’s an arcade in Forest City that has a much better selection and I’m sure a manager with better business sense. His decision to not step in cost him a few hundred. What happened to the days when you would put your quarters on the machine and take your turn? Go somewhere else. It’s not worth supporting this dbag owner!!!

I really enjoyed my time here. I love some of the games and its great they kept them to mostly 1 token. We got there early and it was quiet but it picked up later. I will be back. I hope they bring in a few more top classics and keep the machines in good condition.

I was here on New years so my review is slightly skewed, it wildly over packed and the the drinks were lomited. But, its a decent place but the games are over priced, if I had a choice id go to Abari

For the most part it was cool. Felt a bit out if place, however, if youre into old school arcade games, air hockey etc. etc, I believe youll have a great time. I got reacquainted with Street Fighter LOL. Wasnt a bad time.

First time here and we actually ended going back again later during the night, great place to have a few drinks and enjoy some video games, most of the games are much older classics ,( frogger, qbert, etc), had a few pinball machines (which are hard to find and an enjoyment to see) but will go back to hit more pinball!

Why is this place still open? The majority of the games are gone. Most games cost four tokens? None of this is worth your time. You started out great - what happened?

This place needs work. Its not so much a barcade as it is a bar that just happens to have arcade games. They charge for the games which I would not mind so much if it were not for the fact that a lot of them were broken in some form or another. TMNT - Only one of the positions was playable, Space Invaders button was stuck half the time, Mrs. Pac-Man the controller stuck, and so on. If youre going to charge for the games at least maintain them. The layout was also an issue, the bar created a funnel point so you had to move the drinkers around to play the games that were broken.

This place is awesome. It has great music and a great atmosphere. Theres no other place like it.

Stopped in last night on our way home from the Imperial as my wife loves to play the Hoop Game. It wasn’t crowded and the prices of the games were reasonable. Wish there was a little bit more options but overall it’s a cool spot and the only one I know of that is uptown. I would come back but I don’t know if I’d make an entire night out of Luckys.

Drinks were good and staff was friendly! The only downside in my opinion was a lack of 2 player games. They had some good ones, just not many Ive come to expect from arcades.

While I understand that this is primarily a bar, many of the cabinets are suffering a case of stiff/sticky buttons, which isnt good if you only have a limited amount of tokens.The drinks are good and the staff was friendly, so it wasnt a complete waste.

Cool place. Friendly people. You gotta use tokens for the games. Parking could be an issue, I parked on a meter & walked a couple blocks, no big deal. Good place.

Pretty cool place. Had great cheese fries! All the arcade games are retro and they have 2 bars and 2 air hockey tables.

Had an absolutely awesome time here at Lucky’s and could’ve been even better. Unfortunately we showed up a little after last call and bar close so we were unable to receive the full experience. The staff was extremely accommodating and allowed us to enjoy the arcade even as if they were going through their closing procedures. Wish I could’ve came back and enjoyed the arcade with a couple drinks but was awesome either way!

It needs some work, still nice to have a place with retro cabinets.

Play games like a kid against friends or complete strangers while being an adult and drinking to it! They have a great game selection and drink selection. Its got a club vibe as well so, it doesnt feel like a Chuck-E-Cheese!

Really cool arcade bar. Only one around unless you want to drive to Noda. I also really enjoy that they have a gamcube, N64, etc.

Pretty decent place to play some games listen to some music and have some drinks if thats your choice. The manager is meeeehhh cant put my finger on it really but in and out after a few games and I think youre good to go. The crowd was pleasing. Parking wasnt too far behind. The area is kinda crowded when leaving so I think youre pretty safe. Again the manager didnt seem like its his element idc how long hes been in the industry. Sometimes you have to let it gooooo!

Went here around 7pm on a Friday night was fairly busy. They have really good prices on drinks and a fairly large selection. The floor has been very sticky and gross the times Ive been there. The arcade games are easily the best thing about this place. Sadly a few of my favorites were broken this time. Will be going back soon, hopefully they are fixed!

Its was cool over all. I wanna go back on a good night and really check it out. Some games didnt work, the food was shut down for the night and me and my girlfriend have mixed reviews on the drinks. However, we went on a Sunday after 10 so I think another visit is in order for a proper review.

Sad to say this place has really gone down hill. It was great when it opened, but they have let it get run down. A lot of the games dont work, and they know it. Bathroom had an inch of water on the floor. Bartenders are too busy looking in the mirror to get you a drink even when its not busy (I havent seen it busy except on bar crawl days). Definitely sad as it was fun when it opened

This place is a change of pace for downtown Charlotte. Its a great place to play some games and have a few drinks. The more drinks you have, the more fun. Lol. There were a few machines that were broken and didnt work after we put tokens in them. The staff was quick to replace the tokens we used as well as fix the games. It is a fun place to go and play arcade style games, air hockey, and shuffle board.

I love the old school video games...frogger...Mrs pacman...super Mario brothers...street fighter...galaga...q-bert. The cup holders at the games while you have a beer is excellent. They also have ski-ball, basketball, and a few other prize games. I would have given this place 5 stars if it opened up at lunch instead of 5pm

$15 cover for over 21??? Total BS, Id rather go to PINS.

Cons:-Noticed a lot of the games were out of order, or had issues with the controls.-Quite a few games ate my tokens.-The games took tokens, and not quarters or paying a flat fee for free play.-The console games hooked up to the bar in the back had broken controllers.-Staff wasnt too attentive, and talked about closing down 3 hours early so they can get to their plans for the night, whilst in front of me. Seemed kind of unprofessional.-One of the people in my party ordered a Rum & Coke, and received a watered down Coke with a dash of rum.Pros:-Pretty good location.-The art and atmosphere was enjoyable.-They had the option of free console games.Unfortunately, this was the worst barcade experience Ive had. I really hope the people in charge of operating Luckys business sees this review and works out some of the things mentioned above.

This place is dope and chill def have fun games and college night is fun on Wednesday with beer pong tournament. Great for meeting a lot of new people. Definitely a regular here. Highly recommend this place!!!!

We held a group event here for work. Abby, an event coordinator, did an amazing job to help us review options regarding tokens, food, and drinks. It was super easy to coordinate and the staff were incredibly friendly. If youre looking to host a group event (especially if people are coming and going frequently like ours did), I would definitely recommend Luckys.

This place is super fun and full of options. I dont really like the adult chuckie cheese style that Dave and Busters has to offer, but this place feels nothing like that. They have traditional bar games like shuffle board, but they also have some arcade staples like air hockey and skee ball. And of course they have plenty of old school coin slot, joystick, button mashing arcade games everywhere. Not too crowded, but doesnt feel awkwardly empty. Great place to hang out.

Been in for several after work happy hour events. Great selection of drinks. They are able to serve a full menu from the neighbors next door at #Flight. Games us tokens, which are really easy to get. Staff is helpful, fun, and friendly.

A 90s haven!

Really really fun! It has nice staff, cool games and a great throwback music playlist. Only complaint is that its very expensive, drink prices are normal but the games are about $1 a play and they dont really last long enough to make that worth it for me since Im very bad at the games and just die immediately. I still thoroughly enjoy coming here, but I wish I didnt drop $20 on games each time. Id rather spend that on drinks!

My fav drink IA the Bart Simpson, I love Th games, some games take your quarters others give free games. The bathroom floors are always wet, but the actual gameing spaces are always clean and the staff are more than happy to help you with their machines.

Mediocre or average at best with everything provided and this place. Staff was attentive and nice when I went.

I liked the drinks and the atmosphere. One of the women behind the bar was talking poorly of another customer based on appearance, which ruined the laid back vibe I was hoping for. No one enjoys being around high school drama and that’s all I heard from that employee and her colleagues which shared a laugh over the words said.

This place was nice the first time I went however Ive been again since that time and they have taken a lot of other games out. Nonetheless the main non old school games are over priced at $1 per game.

This is a great bar! They have lots of old arcade style video games but they also have three TVs hooked up to an N64 and Xbox and a Sega Genesis. The drinks were good the games were cool the only thing I could complain about is they did not play 90s music.

Great location. A lot of their machines are always down. Doesnt seem like they have employees who know how to service machines.If you want a real vintage arcade experience with machines that are WORKING....hit Abari.

I did not have a great experience at Luckys last night, but I have been a few times before and things were much better. First of all, It is a great bar idea; with a mix of old school arcade games and video games mixed with decently priced drinks. But it was hard to get over the throw up all over the bathroom (pictured). Then, my girlfriend had her purse stolen when we were playing arcade basketball. Coincidentally, they didnt have any working cameras in that one corner of the bar or any outside the property. Later, right before the police came to do the report, a young woman who worked there (but was off work) got super drunk and aggressive towards people. This proceeded until their own door guy walked her out of the place. He was actually very helpful and other members of the staff were super cooperative with us even before the police got there. Even with that being said, the way things went down last night there is no way I can ever give this place more than one star. I would give it zero if I could.

The better arcade bar. Machines worked great, I dont recall having any issues with lost quarters. Drinks were a bit on the pricey side, but Its to be expected in an uptown bar. Worth a stop in if youre looking for a fun place to hang out for a little bit.

Great place. Its nice that uptown Charlotte finally has an arcade bar. I love playing all the 80s and 90s arcade games. Theyve definitely got a good mix of different games here. Drinks are affordable especially compared to some other places in Uptown. DJ there did well with song selection and playing to the crowd. Ive done a few events here with the meetup group Awesome Random Adventures and also did New years eve here... highly recommend Luckys for anyone looking to have a fun night in Uptown.

The games were old and worn out the controllers half worked. The basketball game the balls wouldnt come out. The only game worth playing there is Jurassic World!! The drinks were watered down and every drink they tip themselves whatever they want on your card even if u have cash for tips. This place was not worth the money we spent we will definitely not be back.

Fun place, good beers, friendly staff, though it gets a little crowded when brewery tour groups come through on the weekends. Excellent selection of games or you can bring your own.

Went a bar crawl here. Homeless dude walking around asking for food, wasnt told to leave. Drink were veryyyy lax, 25 dollars for 3 drinks and left more sober than I came in.

Awesome place! Only reason cant give a five is because the parking sucks. Meaning its uptown and you have to find limited parking or pay. Otherwise great! (Eat before you go because I dont think they serve food)

I took my husband here for a special treat, because he likes arcades. He was very disappointed because their were almost no orginal games. Most were simulations mounted in an arcade unit. Many of them werent even good simulations. Id bought a Groupon with drinks and tokens and we did not use them all. The games took a lot of tokens to play so it wasnt even that good of a deal. I had one drink we played a couple games and left. Extremely disappointed. My husband had been looking forward to this date night for weeks.

Nice place for some classic arcading uptown. Prices are a bit random (some pinballs are .5 others 1 dollar. Some machines eat your coins without crediting. Could use more maintenance. Drink prices are averafe. Overall good for a quick stop and play.

Its a great starting point if youre gonna hit the town. People are nice. Only thing Id wish theyd add is a smoking area. Overall pretty cool though.

Cool place to go sometimes the coins arent acknowledged so you have to get management to refund you but they do it cool place to go!
