Great fun for the family. My child loves it here. The varying water depths is great for young or nervous swimmers. Weve been here on our own, for field trips and for birthday parties. Every time the staff was helpful and professional. The facility is always clean. I also use the gym. It is one of Charlottes hidden gems. Recommended

Had so much fun with my nephew 1/2/2019. Free parking. Prices are affordable (Mecklenburg county residents pay $8/adult, $6/kid, more for non-residents). They have a water park- lazy river, big water slide, smaller kids (age 7 and younger) playground area with slides, water buckets, and sprinklers. There are swim lanes with water basketball and volleyball and a tide current pool. Free swim lessons. Life jackets available for free. Changing areas have lockers, toilets and showers. Open year round. Staff is very friendly. Decent hours. There is also a workout gym upstairs for adults. Adults can also enter pool area without paying to supervise kids if they dont want to swim. Lots of lifeguards on duty.

Clean, kid friendly and bright. But restrictive. You pay $150+ for 3 hours of party and water play. Making the reservation was easy. Paying in person was not. Some people need to stay behind the scenes and just do the paperwork. I hope she, Deborah* isnt there for the actual party.

I brought my boys here (ages 5 and 8) a few weeks ago and we loved it. Very affordable and lots for both age groups to do/enjoy. We had never been to the pool at Rays Splash Planet before but we will definitely be back sometime soon!

Just attended a birthday party there, great way to swim during the winter weather. My 3 year old loved it, I really liked playing in the water with her...never felt grossed out like I usually do at any other public swimming facility, swimming area stayed clean. My only complaint is the locker rooms really arent roomy enough to accommodate a busy day of parents and kids, and no one ever cleaned up the trash that a few people had thrown around the locker areas. Not much privacy unless youre in the toilet stall itself. I dont think teenagers would be the slightest bit entertained here, but a great place for younger. A nice toddler area, water basketball, and 2 larger slides and a lazy river. Plenty of life guards that actually take the job of water safety seriously to my relief...kids and water are dangerous together! 2 rooms to accommodate birthday parties, nothing special about them but nice. Will be taking my daughter back from time to time!

My family and I were very impressed with this indoorWater Park. It is small on the scale of what most people think or compare to water parks out there but it is clean and very well managed. The life guards are constantly moving and observing. This is great for families as it is set up for little children and then another area for older children and adults. It has a lap pool, lazy river, circular pool, and two slides.they also have life jackets if needed. The price is better than reasonable and you can stay all day....no time constraints. Thank you Rays Splash Park!! We will be back again..

Really cool place to bring the kids. I like their check in/ out system and they have the workout area that overlooks the water playground. The lifeguards were awesome! Everytime my 3yo got too far away from me(cuz I have bad knees) and he was getting ready to get into some water too deep, they stopped him. They saw me limping but never made me feel inadequate for not being able to keep up. He was maybe 5-10 ft ahead of me but couldnt hear me cuz of how loud it is inside. My mom runs a summer camp and had 17 kids there that day. It took an unreasonable amount of time for them to check us in. The entire staff was working with 1 lady to upgrade her pass, yet we had 17 kids, 1 toddler, and 4 adults. Smh

Nice family friendly environment. Nice place to have a kids birthday party. My nephew just had one there & all the kids loved it. They have plenty of attentive life guards in duty which is a plus. They have a small lazy river, kids pool area that is 1 to 2 feet deep max. Lil kids & larger slides for older kids to adults. Separate deeper pool argee thats about 4 to 5 feet deep for older kids to adults. Nice locker rook/restrooms. The only down sides are they could use more chairs for people to sit in around the pool & in the party room for adults to sit. & they a larger parking lot. We had to park across from a outdoor park & walk aprox 3 to 5 minutes to get there. But overall it was a nice experience & most importantly the kids had alot of fun!

Only good thing is the low price. With that you get what you pay for. While there, I dealt with a rude lady who was working the desk on Saturday 8/17/19 doing the payments. Having never visited I asked what the age range was for children vs adults, as I had my younger sister with me. The woman then became rude saying, “you told me two adults” when I had only asked for clarification before the payment was even processed so I’m not sure where the anger came from. The age range is not listed for children, so I suspect they are able to easily overcharge people this way. All of this could have been made easier with good customer service and understanding, but instead I was given a rude attitude which soured my experience from the start. The idea of the place is cute, but it seems to get overcrowded very easily due to the good price. It was packed in all of the pools, the water was a bit warm, and it made me feel a bit grossed out all things considered. I guess if you choose to patronize this place I’d recommend going in early to beat the crowds and I truly hope something will be done about the demeanor of the woman that I dealt with so that others can enjoy themselves without enduring that.

This is a nice outing for a family on a winter or rainy day. The staff was very helpful, seeing that this was our first time. The lifeguards are very attentive. Nowhere to hang jackets/clothes/towels ect.. when changing. Nevertheless, we had a great time and will return.

Fun place, but some of the life guards are total jerks. I was holding my toddler who very clearly would not fit in a float by himself and we didn’t know that you needed one for the lazy river. The life guard jumped in before informing us. I asked if I could hold my son and he said no and that he had to be able to sit in one by himself, so we said never mind. My husband looked over at him after we’d walked away and he was shaking his head at the other life guards and shaking out his trunks. Like you’re a life guard, you’re gonna get wet, deal with it. Then another life guard was totally rude to my husband because he didn’t realize he was supposed to put the life jacket in a bin and not back on the rack. I got whistled at for putting my son on my shoulders. I’m not about to play chicken or something with my toddler. Fun place but unfortunately will not be back because of the life guards.

If I could put 0 stars I would but sadly I can’t. Anyway today was Memorial Day weekend and me and my family decided to go to the pool and this one happened to be rated the best. However with my experience today it shouldn’t be rated the best due to the fact we got there at 4pm we were all very excited to swim and then you start to hear the whistles blow. Someone’s child THREW UP in the pool and by the time they were done picking up the chunks of vomit it was already 4:30pm. Keep in mind they close at 5:30pm because of Memorial Day weekend. They didn’t drain out the pool to make sure they got all the vomit instead they rushed to pick up the little chunks. I hope you all know that vomit isn’t just chunks it’s also liquid so the fact they didn’t drain out the water was very DISGUSTING! We ended up going right to the front desk as soon as we saw they started letting everyone back in the water. At the front desk we would think that logically they would refund us back the $30 we had paid to have a “FUN AND COOL EXPERIENCE”. Their policy says NO REFUNDS ALLOWED! Unless they have closed the pool down for an HOUR due to Vomit, Bleeding, and etc. Well someone did vomit but they were only closed for 30MIN and then reopened the pool. We told her that we spent $30 and didn’t even have a chance to swim and all the manager or whatever she was could say was“ We are not refunding you your money because we only closed the pool down for 30min and plus you have 45min to swim”. We then told her that the fact the pool wasn’t drained out was DISGUSTING and we would not be entering, because we did ask her“Would you enter the pool if you were in our place?!” She then said “no I wouldn’t.” And in my opinion if you wouldn’t do the same thing you are telling us to you shouldn’t be suggesting anything. She was very hypocritical and could only say we would not be receiving a Full Refund. So we left spending $30 for nothing in return which is PATHETIC! I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone especially the fact that the Clorox was very strong that even sitting down while waiting for the lifeguards to clean the pool burned our eyes!

Non-Meck residents are $15 adults & $10 for ages 1-17. You can get a dry ticket but if your feet get wet, they make you pay for a regular ticket so dry tickets are pretty much useless. BE AWARE THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE I.D. WHEN YOU PAY despite no signage anywhere indicating so. Bring ID.We decided to go here since Carowinds was closed due to a storm. They informed us that the hours on the signage were wrong, they close earlier than indicated which would have given us less than an hour. Again, be aware that they dont offer discounts no matter how late you go. As we handed over payment, we mentioned we decided to come here b/c of the storm. They said yeah, they close during thunder & lightening too. Had we not said anything, I dont think they would have either & it was obviously stormy weather out. Do we get a refund for stormy weather? Of course not. This whole place was shady & only cared about making money. The rudeness & dont-give-a-crap attitude let me know not to come back.
