Many outdoor ranges here. Short, medium and long. Also a place to set up a trap thrower and now ranges.

Its a great set up, for the most part Ive had the place to myself. The week days are the best. One thing though you cant shoot steel. Which would be nice for the 100 and 200 yard.

Great place to shoot for free! You need your own targets and stands. Not exactly well kept, though.

Excellent place for shooting. It does get kind of crowded sometimes on the weekends.Beautiful scenery, but bring your bug spray as its right next to the river.Check online if theres been a lot of rain, cuz it does flood a lot.

Pretty good overall, but keep your head on a swivel as Ive been flagged at least half a dozen times or more since going as a kid. Reversa Target stands and targets work best here as the burm pipes that used to be stands for targets to be taped to, or however you like to secure them, were removed. They did not work very well anyway so its not much of a loss, but definitely bring targets and stands. Check online to see if its open before going, as flooding is very common.

For a free range it has a nice setup. It has 10, 25, 50, 100/200 range areas plus an area to throw clays.

Good place to shoot with an amazing view

It is an okay shooting range. But it seems pretty strict to what you can and cannot shoot at. You are only allowed to shoot paper and cardboard targets, which can get pretty boring after a while.For the most part its not too crowded. Occasionally youll see a creepy old man behind you hanging out in his mini van watching you shoot. Hes patiently waiting to pick up your brass. Thats all he does all day long...I found two huge patches of ditch weed growing on the 100 yard and 200 yard shooting range. Im pretty sure the conservation crew got rid of them.Otherwise, if you wanna try out your new rifle, come to BlackHawk park to zero it in. Just be sure not to have too much fun.

Nice place for target practice

Great place for target shooting. But theres one guy in a silver minivan that picks up spent brass. He always seems to get in peoples way.

This range is BUSY. If you dont mind that keep reading its worth it... BlackHawk Park range is comprised of 5 bays for rifle,skeet,pistol,air rifle, archery. 15yd pistol w/ 6 double tables(new) -- 25yd pistol new tables old backstop -- 30+yd small rifle/pistol range -- 50/100yd rifle range and skeet range. These are all very well kept with $0.75 cardboard targets at park entrance (honor system. Be honest!!!!) There is 2 archery ranges with stands and hanging targets. CONS-- This park is busy and there is always the public spectators and brass scrapers that are ALWAYS there. They hang around like fleas protecting their brass turf. Lots of drive by spectators. It is a nice park but Busy. Happy shooting.

Come here regularly to work on marksmanship and keep from getting rusty. Facilities are great, and between the staff and the community, the range stays pretty clean.

Only range I go to anymore around here. Always a place to shoot and always a nice clean park!

Ive used this range on several occasions. Its free and you can buy cardboard targets up front. Its also large so you dont have to share bays usually. The range can get busy around hunting season in the Fall. When the river floods, the range closes, which is a huge bummer when you want to go out.
