All things considered, they do a great job and make a good performance. The kids are all great! They have only 2 weeks to learn their parts and it is impressive to see how well they do. Obviously the owners have a passion for theater and it shows on their pupils! I would say that it is a great place for a kid to find confidence and see if they enjoy acting and singing!

The shows these kids do are simply fantastic. Each year, the productions get more amazing and when you consider that all of this is done by volunteers who are not paid and yet devote thousands of hours of their time for their childrens and other people’s children (some of whom are clearly not even aware of how volunteer organizations work) this is simply remarkable. Thanks to the amazing CCCMT crew and volunteers who make this opportunity even possible for so many children.

Musicals are top notch. Im always impressed by the ingenuity of getting hundreds of kids involved. The scenery and choreography are always on point. Better than many professional versions of plays. Full disclosure, I have family in the play, but its good enough I drive in from Salt Lake every year.

One word, nepotism. My child was part of this group for many years. Several years the $100 fee was paid and more in show tickets. They never did one-on-one training with my child. They never gave my child a main part, but you can count on the directors son holding the main part every single year. In mermaid he was eric. In the lion king he played simba (adult version) he has a weak voice and there are so many other children who could do great in a main part, but those are reserved for favoritism and nepotism. My child is very talented, but never got parts deserving of their talent. On the lion king, I went to the employee to ask my child be alerted to my location. My child was expecting their father so I wanted to be sure there was no confusion. Sharina (while wearing a walkie talkie), informed me they would all come out that door. I patiently waited with my other young children. After 20 minutes and no one else exiting. I pleaded, can you please just call around for my child!? Finally she attempted, but by that time it was too late. We spent an hour looking for my child. My child was waiting where their father normally picks up, outside. My child was about to walk home (across town) until a different employee found them outside (thank you to that woman! Star for her).I would have given a better rating, but out of all those years my talented child never got a meaningful part and that irresponsible, lazy employee should be fired. They make a killing off eager families and no one ever speaks up to their unfair determination of part picking. All that said, my child had a lot of fun participating! There were lots of good memories, but the confidence and experience that could be there for my child wasnt provided on a level I would have expected. My child is very talented with a voice to match. My child really just needed to be broken out of their shell. The shyness was an issue. I would have thought a main part was in the works for MANY years, but it never came. The final show only consisted of the employees and directors children in the main act. It was a good show! Some of those children (pumba & rafiki) have some serious talent, but some were clearly picked for unfair reasons.Im giving 3 stars because the shows were good and there was a lot of fun my child had. Missing star for part handling and Sharina
