Its always great to connect with nature. The fall foliage made the sights even more beautiful to look at. We enjoyed ourselves as always.I love the updated playground( its been a while since going to that location). It was fun peeping in the nature center windows. We spotted a stuffed fox, snakeskin and more......upon exiting we grabbed a book from the library house (just have to return/ replace with another book on next visit.

This is a great area of Patapsco (Hilton area), with the tire park/playground, hiking and camping. The playground is quite large and has a great variety of things for all ages. There are many hiking trails, and its always beautiful in the park, especially in the fall. I have returned many times for hiking, playing, and camping with my family.

Its a nice park. Theres an entrance fee but they do take credit card. There is one newer play area. The original play area is a but dated now but kids still have fun. There are also nice bathroom facilities and plenty of areas for picnics.

One of my favorite parks. We explore the many miles of trails within patapsco surrounding the tire park. Very clean and well kept.

This place is super cool. $2 on the off season to get in and that helps keep the parks clean and thriving. They don’t make playgrounds like this anymore. I had fun running around with my friends kids and would recommend for kids of all ages. They also have a nature center that is open on weekends for lots of learning.

Huge outdoor playground great for toddlers to teens. Campsite, walking trails and more. You can camp in your own tent or rent a bare cabin with a community bathroom on site. Firewood is available to purchase at the entrance, bring your own bag as they do not provide them.

Completely shaded fun on a hot summer day! Creative, open-ended play for kids. Tires are half-buried in the ground, so you can walk/hop/run across. Theres also a more typical playground with slides, etc. Theres a sign at the entrance that says dogs are not allowed, so I sat with my puppy at the picnic tables at the perimeter while my kids played. A bathroom is conveniently located right next to the area. There is a fee of $2 per car. To find it, set your GPS to Patapsco State Park, Hilton area.

Great play area for the kids with plenty of parking. Information kiosk says it was designed by kids and I can believe it. Interesting design for creative natural play. There is a parking fee as it is a state park.

The tire park has a lovely playground with lots of shady spots, walking trails, and pavilions available for rent! We absolutely love coming every time! There is an entrance fee for guests, lots of parking, public restrooms, but no trashcans! So please bring your own trash bags and clean up after yourself when you leave!

Free for vets and military. Super fun little park. Had a cute little outdoor ranger shack with nature facts also had people come with owls and snakes to show the kids. They have great covered picnic areas with a like 6ft by 3ft charcoal grill, fireplace, and outlets all throughout. It would probably seat 80 people. Apparently they have camping there but we didnt take part in that.

The park was great. The kids had fun playing. Stars removed because part of our group arrived a little later than we did and they got turned away due to what what 5he staff claimed was a lack of parking. I counted 30 parking spaces and only walked half way through the parking lot. The claim was that the spaces were being reserved for the picknick area reservations. What a joke. The lot never filled up. Perhaps someone should reevaluate when to cut off the entry of cars.

Great Park to take the kids, especially in the heat of summer. Plenty of shade all around. There is a fun little nature lodge right next to it as well with friendly folks willing to talk about the animals that live in the park. One down side is that even after remodeling some there is only ONE tire swing. Guess what is the most popular feature? Yep, I would have hoped in the remodel they would have increased the number of tire swings at the tire park. That is why it gets 4 instead of 5 stars.

Its a fantastic park that is open til sunset every night. On the weekend you have to pay an entry fee per car to help upkeep the state park but its totally worth the 4 or 5 they charge. If you are in the military they give a discount. There are 2 separate park areas, campground, large open field, plenty of picnic tables and a couple of education type trails.

This is such a cute park your kids will love. It is a part of Patapsco State Park so there is a per care fee without a pass. There is a full park made from wood, tires, and traditional play ground equipment. It has a seasonal nature shack which even has a hallow tree the children can climb through (the shack itself is seasonal). A sensory walk for children to experience the trail ( 0.10 mile) with all their senses. The beauty of nature surrounds this park and is where youth and family groups can camp in the summer. Plenty of parking without much of walk. Park is well maintained and closes around sunset. Closing time is marked by tye entrance. My son loved this park.
