Absolutely breathtaking! Such an amazing experience! If youre going through this area I would highly recommend you stop and hike this for the views and for the exercise.... It was so amazing!

Nice little trail to hike up. Once you get to the top, there is a sign that discourages you from climbing the rocks to get to the top, but it seems to still allow it. I climbed them. Take it slow and steady and be strategic about how you will get back down, not only up. If youre not confident, DONT do it.Otherwise, still a nice little trail that will give you a decent workout and nice view.

Small, but decent climb. Some tables. The view is what makes the experience. A 360 that is most beautiful at sunset.

The short loop hike around the famous Castle Rock is a nice place to spend an afternoon. The Flag and star were there in all their splendor. I really did think I could hike all the way up but it is clearly not permitted. I hiked the circle loop a few times, took lots of pictures of the city and landscape. It was a very enjoyable afternoon in Castle Rock, CO!!

Beautiful hike for the family! A little tough for our two year old, but she did it and we had a blast. The view from the top is fantastic. Great way to get some exercise and explore!

This was a great hike. Mostly up hill to get to the rock. Great views and if your adventurous you can climb up to the top.

Good trail to go hike with kids . Around 2 miles . It won’t take to the top of the rock though .Have seen some people climbing the rock but the sign says no .

This was a very nice place to do a little stroll. It was an easy walk and the trail is well maintained. The views are outstanding in all directions. We did climb to the top of the rock at our own risk and it was quite difficult. Going up was easier than going back down as always but, the views were worth it at the top. Be extremely careful if youre going to climb to the top

Very nice views of the city once at the top. Fairly easy incline to the top. Safe to go alone if female!Was a bit disappointing once to the top as I thought it would take me up to the rock itself.Saw some young kids from the area climbing it, even though there’s a big sign that says not too. Overall, good and quick hike!

It was a little underwhelming. Pretty decent views but I was a little bummed they dont want you to climb up on top of the rock. Very easy and short hike.

It was fun just pretty hard going up. Going down I almost fell 2 times and wrong shoes it was very pretty view. We couldn’t go all the way up sadly.

Great place to hike you can eat lunch at the almost top but you cant really get to the top top any more sadly. Fast hike though.

This is a short moderate hike up to beautiful views of Castle Rock. I enjoyed the hike.

So its a park. But oh my, this is a different park, but its a park.So, its a free park that had a easy and simple trail/path/hike that anyone can do it. Even a sedentary person like me lolBut come with some good shoes it can be muddy or super dry rocky sand. You can get really close to the rock at the top. There is a loop around the rock with benches/sits.HOWEVER if you want to climb to the top of the rock you need to be careful, its possible but not for everyone or either is easy. You need to know what you are doing and there is no help or security to help you in case of emergency.Just the view from the loop area is amazing. Its worth going!

Great little hike that anyone could do. Takes about 15 minutes to casually walk up to the base of the rock from the parking lot. Climbing on top of the rock however is difficult, especially with snow on parts of the rocks, so take extreme caution if attempting.

I have driven by this place for years. Having lived in CO three times in my life! Finally took a walk/hike. Easy for someone coming from lowlands with great views and coffee in town afterward.

Beautiful hike up the trail. It takes about 30 minutes to hike up to the big rock. Dogs are allowed, too. No restrooms there. Beautiful view!

I took the wife and 3yr old here. Everyone had a nice time. The view from the top is beautiful. I would recommend staying away from the base path on the east side, because it was covered in ice. No one fell, but we had a few scares.

Challenging hiking, rocky, and steep in some parts. To the top is super hard for us with kids. We went back just before the stairway.

Nice quick and easy hike up and down. Can not get to the top, but cool views nonetheless. Hiked this in the morning but suspect sunsets from here would be nice to see.

One of our favorite family hiking spots. There are several entry points, but the main lot is my favorite path up. Even though it was 60 today there were still several snow patches in places that didnt get much sun.

Actualmap looks like tgis. Google maps has it wrong. East enterance often closed due to a locked gate but ME street access trail is an empty olt no one ever uses even though the you are here spot is alwaus packed. Recomend this trail to break in your low lander friends and relatives to catch them in a mile hike with lots of evac points rather than som mountain waterfall trail. . . just saying great warm up for anyone, great trail running espesially qt south acces to summit as there are very few steps there. Would be nice if they let is climb to tge top like we were allowed 30 years ago. . .old people. . sheeeze

Fun short hike right in town. Parking was easy. Ive seen the Rock for years but didnt know it had established trails. There are nice views of the city and the mountains in the distance. Icy now - bring your spikes!

I have been in many parks around and did lots of hikes, however, if you have kids 5 and under, live close by and like short hikes and great views - this is it. Great place, amazingly it was my first time visiting this trail and i liked it. Parking is tight and limited, worse case.you will have to park on street near by. If you decide to climb on rock itself, you should consider that it wont be possible to do with more than one kid at a time and you will actually need to climb some rocks. I would say 8+ y.o. would be ok.

Its an easy hike up to the iconic rock that takes about 20-25 minutes, approx 1 mile. The climb to the top of the rock is technical and only moderately difficult, no gear required beyond good shoes.The view from the top is completely unobstructed and stunning. Gives you that on-top-of-the-world feeling. We went there at sunset and it was awe inspiring.

Really beautiful outdoor trail. I came while visiting from out of state. I really enjoyed the views of the city from up higher. We hiked the shorter trail just before sunset and made it it up and back to the car before it was too dark.There was a sign saying the park opens an hour after sunrise and closes an hour after sunset. They signage had a lot of warning for wildlife. I didn’t see much wild life, maybe a squirrel.There’s was no signs for parking but at the end of the street, past the trailhead, there’s a large turnout so you don’t have to park near the homes. Still close and easy enough to walk to the trail.

Beautiful, quick hike up an easy path or moderate path (depends which side). When you get to the top of the trail there are gorgeous views. Climbing the rock is definitely frowned upon and can be very dangerous if you make the wrong move (I would not recommend kids climb this), but if youre capable and want to see an even better view- do it. Its unreal

Great trail to the actual rock, my 4 y.o. walked it. But as far as scaling the rock itself, I’d say 8 and up is a safe bet.
