Man o man what a freaking course!! The fairways are well kept greens are a tad fast so prepare. Clubhouse is top notch and the cart girls are always wondering around to help you. The course is damn good! Id was given a fathers day gift to play for the first time and I will be going back. Apparently they offer military a discount during the week!!

The golf course itself is fine. Having played out here a few times over the years its not bad. However things get jammed up on a few holes. This time we got held up on the turn. We ordered 4 brats to keep moving to #10. It took 20 minutes to get them. The guys behind us could have past us but did not. So suggest you have the food ready to go. Just pop it in the microwave. No way should we be waiting 20 minutes for food on the turn.

Great place. Course was in excellent condition and staff is top notch. Had an issue but staff and management went above and beyond to remedy the situation. I rarely spend the time to post a rating much less leave a review but was so impressed felt this establishment deserved this review. Shout out to Alex in the pro shop plus the two young men at bag check. Also grill staff was awesome. Highly recommend any golfer to definitely give this establishment a visit. I myself will put this place on the top of my list when coming to DFW area.R. Valerio

One word: GREAT! I recently played here while on a business trip and truly impressed. The fairways were semi-challenging, but good enough for even the beginner golfer. The greens are in great shape too. This course overall is a fun one, literally. You can easily mess up your game with a random swing on a dog leg right so your strategy needs to stay in play at all times, but overall you can really score here. The staff, the clubhouse, the restaurant, overall atmosphere is excellent. Im not sure when Ill be back, but I was ready to get a membership on the first day here! Being from NJ, I dont think this way. I really dont have any complaints about this course except the bag drop area could be improved upon. Maybe its not busy enough to have an attendant there at all times. However, I did have them store my luggage there during my round which was perfectly fine. Thanks again and hope to be back soon! Highly recommended for golf and cuisine.

The verdict on Coyote Ridge......the front and back are COMPLETELY different. The front is more open (still tough) and the back is a shot makers 9. The greens are tight and fast all the way around. The staff was great and the course is one of the better kept courses Ive played around here. My one complaint would be that some areas were pretty soggy from all the rain. Ultimately I will definitely be back but Ill know to bring my A game next time....lol

Course was in good condition. Service in the clubhouse was lacking. We were refused service at the turn... at 4pm. They were having a private event so everything was being reserved for that. That would have been fine, but no one told us this prior to starting our round. As we were discussing this with them we watched as two other tables were being served pitchers. Turns out those tables were the owners. So they could be served, but not their paying customers. Wont be going back.

Awful place to go. I wish I could not give any stars. My family and I went to this place for my birthday after reservations were made and the staff treated us unsatisfactory with telling us the restaurant was closed and even tried to sit us in a location away from other guests. This was all after we explained we had reservations and it was impossible for the restaurant to be closed. I honestly believe they were discriminating and blatantly racist to my family and I. Very rude! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

This is the finest public golf course in DFW metroplex. The greens are nearly perfect year-round and the staff does a great job of making you feel welcome, almost as if everyone is a member. I am a coyote club member which gives you reduced green fees every day and free range balls. In most cases I can call in the day prior and get a tee time in the morning on the next day. The par threes are the four most demanding I have played on any golf course. All of the holes are fun to play and take some time to get your strategy correct, making the course enjoyable every round.

Nice aesthetics but lacking to be an elite course. Found the lack of communication about the flooding on the back 9 concerning. Not only were we not informed of it, no discount was given for the tee times. The service at the bar was also lacking. A few members of our group were charged for items that we did not purchase. Overall, it was a disappointing trip since we traveled from out of state to play the course.

Ive always seen this course on golfnow and thought I really wanted to play it. So, the time had come and a buddy and myself stopped in on the way to Winstar. We had a 11am tee time and it seemed everyone had one as well. Slow round, but we paired up with a couple nice gentlemen. There was nothing that really gave the course character IMO. I cant think back and think of a hole that stood out. Maybe the par 3 with the subdivision view or the par 5 with water in front of the green. All and all, I wouldnt return. Yeah, Im happy we experienced it but I will be trying other courses on the DFW area.

The front nine is noisy- adjacent 121-but nice to play. The back nine less so. The holes have narrow fairways and lots of traps: they feel very ‘contrived’. Our game was frustrated several times by others cutting in or teeing off while we were in range-there’s no marshals and no evidence of control. Fast and tricky greens. Well maintained course. Nice clubhouse. Doubt we will be back- much better experience at other DFW venues.

Coyote Ridge is an upscale semi-private golf course located in Carrolton, TX. Conveniently located just off 121 east of the I-35 interchange, this course is easily accessible from anywhere in north DFW.Memberships are sold for Coyote Ridge (hence the semi-private designation). Approximately $350/month gets you all the golf you can play. Tee times can also be found online through your favorite booking app from $25-45. Not bad prices for a course that has this many amenities. The clubhouse is very upscale featuring dark browns and blues, wood accenting, full restaurant and bar (open to the public), as well as a ballroom/banquet area. Full locker rooms are located for all as well. The pro shop contains the standard golf equipment as well as an remarkable selection of hats.I played on a Thursday morning with a tee time of just before 11:00 AM. Range balls were included with the tee time purchase. Hitting off mats was required at the smallish range. There is also a small chipping area and a mammoth putting green with plenty of undulation.Coyote Ridge is very challenging for the average golfer. With a slope rating of 131 from the blue tees and 145 from the tips, this course will test your game. It’s easy to get lulled into a false sense of security for the first 2 holes. #1 is a short par 4 to a mild green. #2 is a par 5 with plenty of room off the tee. The green is elevated which provides a little challenge and a hint of many shots to come where golfers will not be able to see the ball land. The difficulty shifts into high gear on #3. This par 3 has a narrow and deep green that can significantly change the length of the hole (it was playing 232 into the wind from the blues when I played). The tee shot requires length and accuracy making finding the green a significant challenge. From there, a 2-putt is no guarantee.Depending on the wind, the rest of the holes on the front can vary from mild to incredibly challenging. Have fun on #7. The signature hole is a par 3 from an extremely elevated tee box. Over water. Usually into a howling wind. Not exactly a shot that you practice every day. On the other hand, the ball stays in the air an awfully long time…so that’s fun.The back begins with a poorly designed (in my opinion) par 5. Meant to be a forced 3 shot hole, most players will hit an awkward 200 yard downhill tee shot, followed by a long iron/fairway metal over trouble (but…not TOO far), closing with short shot into a shallow, severely undulating green that is made more difficult by the extreme elevation of the putting surface. This isn’t a bad hole, it just doesn’t have the aesthetically pleasing effect that many other holes here at Coyote Ridge have. Also, as is a theme with this course, the fun factor probably increases on this hole the more you play it.Both par threes on the back involve elevation change. #15 is another par 5 that requires accuracy. I was able to birdie the hole, but, had to stuff a wedge to 4 feet (another approach shot I didn’t see land due to a tucked pin/green design).#17 is a fun set up. Short par 4 that plays downhill. Certainly drivable and a nice risk reward (I played 5 iron - SW - 2 putts for par). #18 is short uphill par 4 that you have to play once before really understanding the hole. Play towards the 150 stick and you’ll see what I mean.Pace of play was a little slow to start out. Perhaps caused by the 90 degree rule for the day and #1 being cart path only. GPS is on all the carts which is a huge help for the many blind shots out there. Course was very well maintained and greens in good shape, albeit slow compared to other courses in the area.Overall, Coyote Ridge is a well maintained golf course with plenty of upscale amenities for golfers who like that sort of thing. Still comfortable for the “shoes-in-the-parking-lot” type of players like myself. It’s the type of course that is more enjoyable and easier to score on after 3-4 rounds to learn where to miss it. Enjoy!
