It may very well be Carmels nature crown jewel . Paved trails, playground, gravel garden trails, trails in the woods too along White River, kayak, canoe drop zone. Football field. Baseball diamond. Can truly spend an entire day here. And although outside of park hours, stargazing is pretty awesome here too.
The daughter loved playing in the sand and hunting for dinosaur bones. For taking your kid to play at, its fairly dilapidated and bare bones (thats the theme too!) but at least its unique.
Peaceful, serene hiking facility and offering 3 levels - easy to medium difficulty - edging the river and going over a stream. There is also a paved path, in addition. Beautiful wild flowers along the path enhances the activity.
Took my dogs for a Saturday afternoon walk and not crowded at all. First time and was a bit confused about the trails, some were very sunny, but will return.
This is a great walking park. There was a a small interactive playground for kids and lots a nature to explore.
Tons of wild black berries! Loved it.
This is a great little park. There are trails, a little playground, a sandbox, plus a large green space. Theres also this little building with a museum like exhibit of early life in Indiana and some artifacts. Random but a neat little surprise. There are also (pretty gross) restrooms by the parking lot. That said, if you have younger kids (1-2 years old) this is not the best park. The slides and steps are all stone and every point off the top is a bit of a drop off. Not ideal for toddlers.
Access to the river, things to climb on for the kids, nice tr as ils for bicycles and joggers, some wildlife, and yet close to homes. Very enjoyable.
Nice variety of paths to walk on. However, I dont understand the play mound. There are two of what appear to be slides on it, but they are made of concrete and not smooth at all. Good luck getting a child to not slide down them. Wore a hole into a brand new pair of shorts.
Love walks along the river here and the peace and quiet, my kids love the little nature’s center and all the animals to look at and the bird watching area.. many fun paths and places to explore, fun place to have a picnic.. like the fields and softball diamonds to practice at.
Great Trails.
We are new to the area and found this beautiful park. It is wonderful for a nice stroll and it is hardly ever too crowded. One thing that is a bit annoying is that some people let their dogs off - leash which can be a bit of an issue when walking your own dog on a leash. As much as I understand the wish to let Fido run free - it really is a nuisance for fellow park users.
Nice trails, well maintained. Park could use some updates, otherwise a great place to walk
Peaceful. Tranquil. Great Park for Families to explore nature together.
One of my favorite parks because it has open spaces and trails. Only bad thing is sometimes people let their dogs off leash which is not allowed and if you have a dog you may have to fend off an off leash dog that the owner cannot control. I have had that happen before
Short trails for walking, nice river view. Pleasant family park
Great fields and running trail
Not crowded, peaceful and the perfect walk spot with a dig.
Lovely as always. Free bike pump stations are a plus. Happy spring!
Nice trails through the woods next to White River.
Hands down one of the most beautiful and fun parks in the area!
Nice walking trails, peaceful and relaxing.
Beautiful park.
Large, well-kept park.
Nice sidewalks and fun playground! Need less grass/lawn, more woods. Prairie is nice, too.
Great spot for rugby!
It was great
Best family park in Carmel. From trails to canoeing!
Nice walking/ bike trails. sometimes crowded because it is adjacent to several practice fields. the playground is unique but small and the slides are made of stone which is bad for several reasons.
I enjoy taking daily walks on the 2.5 mile loop of River Trail (also known as White River Greenway Carmel). However there are too many dogs off leash & dog poop on the trails.
Fun scenic park with trails and a few different pieces of playground equipment. Great for pictures.
Great Park. Good trails and Canoe drop off location for White River
This park is fun
Nice trails, fields, and white river access
Beautiful place, helps clear your mind
Beautiful
Great warbler spot
Great place for a proposal!
I love this park for walking
