Beautiful, Ancient Indian Serpant Site.

Historical stop. Remnants of the earthen fort still remain. Good place to revisit a historic moment.

Not much there. Building is completely closed off for renovations, with only a few signs. Hopefully the work they are doing will make it worth while to visit.

Went here by mistake (we were looking for Fort Defiance) and it was undergoing some renovations. This is a small park located right in town. We werent able to enter the fort building due to the work being done, but there were several plaques to read with history of the area, and the locals we met there were very friendly.

Wasn’t open during hours that was posted. Nothing on website to instruct visitors of such.

Overall this was a good experience. My friend and I enjoyed reading through the history. It was a little underwhelming in the sense that you couldn’t go inside the fort, but that’s okay. If you aren’t into history, I wouldn’t recommend this place to visit. However, if you are into history, particularly civil war history, it’s definitely worth a stop!

Very small but super interesting signs and seeing a fort from the Civil War that looks like a castle is incredibly unique. View of the Mississippi River and beautiful bridge.

Not much to it. Kinda sad how its been kept, when you look inside the fort there are folding chairs and tables just sitting in plain view being stored there. Info on the signs was informative but incomplete.
