This is wonderful place to walk with paved trails, benches, bathrooms and a board walk along the water. It borders the Banana River. It was windy and the water was rough so we werent able to see any manatees. There are exercise stations around the trail.

Lovely little park to take the kids bike riding or for a picnic. The park had few people so it was quiet. It has a very nice covered deck to sit and enjoy the river. We saw 3 dolphins swimming at a distance. Didnt see any manatee. Only thing that takes away from the charm of the sanctuary, is all the development that now surrounds the park.

We didnt see any manatees, but it was a beautiful and peaceful park. We had almost the entire place to ourselves about an hour before sunset. There were tons of turtles, birds and a beautiful sunset. Lovely place for an easy walk and a playground for the kids.

There are benches and shade beautiful birds squirrels that are delightful and a dog friendly, people friendly atmosphere thats hard to find in other cities. Its great for early morning and early evening as well as throughout the day. There plenty of shelters and picnic tables and the possibility for citing manatees dolphins and other wildlife.

Wonderful little park with a half-miler walking track. Scattered along the path are low-impact fitness stations which we really enjoy. Most have instructions for a level one and level two degree of exercise and motion. Also the raised walkway along the Banana River is lovely. We try to go a couple times each week.

Situated along the Banana River just off of Route A1A, this park is well maintained and clean! It has an exercise route to walk and do some simple calisthenics to keep fit! A large pavilion, childrens playground and plenty of shade trees to relax under! If youre lucky, you just might see a manatee!

I love this place. Its full of people walking on the beautiful paths. The breezy weather is nice especially in Floridas heat. Ive been early in the morning and early evening and both times was a pleasant experience. Plenty of parking and they have a covered boardwalk facing the water. We saw lots of birds and turtles by the bridge. They have lots of trees for shade and trash cans available on the path to dispose of the doggy bags. They have a covered picnic area with grills that look open to the public too. They also have boards posted around the path with fun facts about the area and local wildlife. I asked some of the locals where to see the manatees and they said theyve never seen one at the park. So the only manatee you will see might be the statues at the entrance.

A quiet place to park and enjoy a snack with your views of the Banana River, Manatee Sanctuary Park was built by the Florida State Department of Conservation, so it will never be sold for condominium development. We look forward to checking out the running/stretching path, and having company when the plague shuts down.

Manatee Sanctuary Park is beautiful, a nice place to take a walk, let kids have fun on the playground equipment, and you get a chance to see various wildlife. The reason for a 4-star rating instead of 5-star is because the places that you might be able to see Manatees were all grown up on the river, nary a chance to see a Manatee.
