Of the courses I’ve played over the last 2 months this one is my favorite so far! The layout is inviting but also keeps you on your toes. Like a few reviews I’ve read from previous weeks, these greens are insanely fast. Make sure you get your putting speed lined out on the practice green beforehand. So glad this place is 10 minutes from my house. Can’t believe it took me this long to play this course.

They have very good chicken

Average track, average greens but the real sad thing about this establishment is that they do not take covid-19 seriously at all. No masks required indoors. No employees wear a mask at all not even at the snack bar. The truly despicable part is that they have a sign on the front door that pokes fun at people who are nice enough to wear a mask. Avoid this place at all costs. Also they have no doors on their bathroom stalls so there is a good chance if you need to use the restroom that you will walk in on some gross, half-naked, Canton white trash taking an awful dump right in front of your eyes.

Good and challenging golf course but no attention is paid to Covid restrictions.

Nice course. Well taken care of. Greens are in super shape and are very very fast!

The covered driving range is in rough shape. Only 3 heaters worked. Only two good hitting mats. The range balls are all different kinds, scuffed, cut, old. At 9 dollars for a large bucket of balls I would have expected high quality. I also had a great time hitting on a rainy day getting some swings in. Just have to make the best of the situation. Hopefully they can improve the covered driving area.

Went for nieces wedding. Very nice venue. Chicken meal was delicious but Im told the beef wasnt. Gravy was perfect, not salty. Portions were kind of small but that didnt bother me. May have bothered the person paying for it. Very clean facility and pleasant staff.

I had my wedding ceremony and reception here and I couldnt have asked for a better place. Stephanie was so awesome to work with and we never had to worry about a thing. Her entire staff and Natalie did an amazing job of everything! The food is always delicious no matter what you get, and they were very accommodating to what we wanted to do.They have a good selection of packages and they do a lot of work for you. We did not have to worry about set up or clean up. Weddings are so stressful, and we never had to worry about Skyland. Thank you Stephanie and team!

Nice course and nice staff.

Easy until you get to the greens. Greens are true but alot faster than most public courses. Well cared for.

Nice old golf course

Love to hit all 18 holes on the weekend vary nice course.The big pines they cut down helped my handycap seriously the sand is always raked out and green is the best in the area,and the faculty treat you with respect and are always helping!

Nice golf course , fantastic greens

Ive been playing at Skyland for about 25 years. Played on April 23rd and I can say its in the BEST shape Ive seen in over a decade. The greens were true and the fastest that I can remember. Several 3 putts for me. If you havent played here before, its a must. Best public course greens in Stark county

Course is top-notch.

Very enjoyable golf course

2nd time there for a sports banquet. Holds allot of people, has huge ballroom as well as room partitions and a downstairs too! Food was delicious. Definitely prefer banquet style eating. However with large banquets, should have stations set up in 2 different areas of ballroom. Took so long for us to be called up for food. Everyone else was done eating.

Good shape except for the tee boxes

This is an older banquet hall on a golf course. Ive attended a reunion here and had my rehearsal dinner here as well. There are several sections for large group get togethers that are a great size . The food is pretty good. The venue is somewhat outdated, but its rustic. This is near a rural area in the golf course and can be hard to find, especially at night. I personally feel this venue could use some upkeep or updating. There is a lot of great potential here. Theres a nice big fireplace on the top floor that is great Im the winter months.

The best steaks are made here! Really friendly staff, and we have had them more than once over the years, Beautiful atmosphere with the gorgeous stone fireplace and wooden beams, windows overlooking the golf course. Consistent quality means we are repeat customers. We have had many memories made here in our family.

A solid golf track, been a mainstay golf course for over 70 years in Stark Count, Ohio. Well maintained, excellent sand traps.

Attended a wedding reception. The food was very good. The staff did a great job. There were times 1 particular server seemed rushed with our table which was a little annoying. But Ive also been there when the food wasnt so great. There was actually seasoning on the meat which was great.

Great Mothers Day brunch, servers were pleasant and efficient. Great environment and surroundings.

Went there for a class reunion. Nice and roomy. Big dance floor. Food was not good at all. Plus there was supposed to be fish but rigatoni instead. Appetizers were good!

I attended an engineering week presentation here. My comments only relate to the facility. The food was OK (think the same level as national low priced chains). The venue has a late 60s or early 70s vibe (not bad if you like that style). The bar prices were reasonable.

Fun golf course. Some challenging holes and all the greens were in very nice shape. They spend some time and effort keeping this course in shape! Recommend you play here. You will enjoy it!

Fast service for a banquet. Good food. Could use some updating.

Played this course for the first time today. Very clean. The personnel were very nice and helpful. The tee boxes are well marked, the fairways were well maintained, and the greens were beautiful. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

I had my wedding here 3 years ago and they were super helpful. My husband had to do most of the planning as I was out of state and they showed him everything he needed to know about the place. When the day came they help set up and had everything ready to go at the right time. They took down the area where we had the service while we were eating so we could have a dance floor. All in All it was the best any bride could ask for.

Well.... it used to be one of Stark countys better courses to play for years. but since ownership change it has went down hill some I feel. Fairways and greens need much work done on them. Seems drainage there is more of a problem then ever as well. Prices are better than most to play there but then they should be for the condition that it has been in these past years.

Food is always wonderful and service great. The rooms are beautiful! I had my wedding reception here. They can accomodate large events or small ones with how they can separate the rooms up. I would definitely recommend this place for your next event!

Have been to a work Christmas party and a summer wedding here. Food they provide here is not the worst but not the best; I expected better but oh well. The location is nice; the actual facility could use a refresh.

We have never had a bad meal here and that includes banquets!

Banquet center is large and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Has the standard banquet food that is actually worth eating.

A great facility on a golf course. I had a great well prepared steak dinner there. Never had a bad meal and the service is prompt and courteous.

Very pretty banquet setting w the fireplace, but the dance floor cuts the dining area in half so you have to walk across ppl dancing to get to the bar or whatever. The food we was served was horrendous. I know my whole table didnt finish it, the steak was over done at one end and by time u got to middle it was just raw, seemed like they steamed it. Plus no steak knives. You cut ur food w a butter knife. the chicken taste like lemon chicken nuggets. Also when they brought out dishes, they have no use of trays it seems so the plates were sitting on top of the other food, which is very unsanitary due to the servers hands being on the bottom of the plates and plates sitting on the counters ect. Seems like they could def use better management who will train correctly.

Booked 18 for 2 a week in advance and when I showed up I was told half the golf course was closed and we had to play the back 9 twice for the same price. I would have made a tee time somewhere else for my only day off if I would have know in advance. Every green on the back 9 was hard as cement you could barely even stick a tee into it so needless to say landing a good shot with spin on it was Ill relevant..there is to many golf courses in the area for me to ever considered playing one like this ever again

This course is one of nicest in the County. The fairways and greens are well kept. I believe that the greens are truest for putting consistency. The course is beautiful.

Went for the driving range. About half the heaters work. It was still a nice place to swing a club in early spring. I like the new machine for the balls.

Visited for a wedding. It was fine, nothing special. Wouldnt necessarily say I would go back unless invited back.

The facility is very nice & rustic. The employees are extremely nice as well as very professional. The food was very good.

Skyland Pines Banquet facility is an iconic place. Have attended banquets, showers etc for 40 years myself. Beautiful setting, awesome food and service...

The food was poor quality and the green beans looked like they came from a can. Their roast beef looked inedible. However, they did a nice job with the decorations at my banquet.
