This is by far one of best public tracks I have ever played. Although the course has quite a bit of undulation, their landing areas throughout the course is extremely fair. The greens were in fantastic shape and very speedy for a public course. Now that I have played the course, I cant wait to get back and play it again. The views from some of the elevated tee boxes add to the incredible golf ahead of you. One caution, if your are a beginner, be prepared to bring a lot of balls.

Overall the course is very interesting and seemed to be fairly well maintained. However, for the average golfer (like myself) this is an extremely tough course. I enjoy a nice challenge and a course that will make you think a bit but this course seems like it is difficult just so it can say its difficult.I encourage people to play it at least once because it is one of the more unique courses in the region but bring a lot of balls.

This is Brian Huntleys masterpiece. Every hole is memorable. Outstanding conditions, lots of elevation changes, and plenty of picturesque views. The facilities and staff are all top notch. This place is world class. Id give it six stars if I could. Well worth the hour and a half drive from Cleveland. I cant wait to come back.

Great condition on a wet, overcast day. Quite a bit of undulation resulting in blind tee shots. Buy a yardage guide, play with someone with knowledge and use the GPS to make sure you don’t hit it somewhere unintended. I probably lost 4 balls just by hitting somewhere I thought was OK but were hidden hazards. A little unfair for first timers but the condition was very good and some very pretty views.

Our group (anywhere from 8-20) regularly travels weekly to play golf at different courses. We drove about 2 hours from Washington, PA to play here on April 22, 2020. We were absolutely rewarded with one of the best golf courses we have played. Excellent layout, well manicured fairways, and greens that rolled fast and true! All for $30!!! While we did not get to experience the clubhouse, food or any of the other amenities, I would not hesitate to believe they are also first class. We will certainly be back this year and I’m sure many years to come. Looking forward to playing when the weather is nicer and the course is in full bloom. Well done Quarry, thank you!!Mark

The only reason this golf course is getting 4 stars is because of their golf carts. The golf carts shut down when you go out of area. I didnt think near the green or going after a wayward ball would deactivate the golf carts, but it does (and will when you least expect it). Great course though!

Absolutely one of the best courses Ive ever played (Ive played a lot!). Everything from the carts, the service, quality of course, design and even place of play was impeccable. The layout was most impressive, dramatic down hill tee shots, up hill tee shots, wide fairways, dog legs left/right, the list goes on and on. Only complaint was some of the pin placements (on ridges and side hills), maybe the greens keeper was having a bad day :)...We played far back tees, which had long carries and forced us to use every club in the bag (which was awesome), long par 4s, modest par 5s, and the par 3s were short, with huge elevation changes on some. Bring your camera, the views are incredible. We are from Michigan, and if I ever travel this way again, Im bringing my clubs. All of this for $45.00.

This course is amazing! The engineering that had to go into the design is absolutely awe inspiring. There are many large elevation changes that are so scenic and beautiful. It is well manicured and just so cool. After you hit your putt in, you immediately start wondering what the next hole will look like as each hole seems to be more unique than the last. Truly, one of the finest public courses in North East Ohio. The fairways are manicured beautifully and the greens are as challenging as they come. The surrounding scenery is picturesque & some of the views rival those of our state parks. A tad on the pricy side, but what can be expected from a country club, if not better, level course. Off season rates are a steal, so get there before the leaves start falling. If youre a golfer, of any skill level, I recommend at least one visit to this gem!

Layout is exceptional - it really is. Do NOT let my 1 star rating shy you away if you have NEVER played it - play it at least once... However - its obvious they are challenged with finances - its Labor Day weekend - and there is NO sand in the majority of the traps - in fact #9 is shot - see photo. The lack of drainage control suggest they are pinching pennies - I cannot stand when golfing on a day its 90 degrees out - and my drive plugs in the middle of the fairway. HEY - when you take a core sample from the green - FIX IT... If Im paying $50+ it should NOT be my job (twice)... There is one other picture - abandoned cart - why? If it broke down - fine - but DRAG IT OFF the course - do NOT leave it sit there all day. Lastly - the carts - they were cutting edge 15 years ago - and the GPS system - simply unfriendly. For the price - Id suggest fowlers, little mountain, stonewater... The idea that the management cannot fix things but do provide cart personnel to wipe my clubs - this place has gone downhill. just like your lie in the middle of the fairway. Oh yeah - $5.25 for a Yuengling draft - IN EAST CANTON - REALLY?

I went here on fathers day weekend with my Dad and was very disappointed in the customer service. They had a group of ladies there at bag check that didnt really help much except ignore us. We had to ask for water that should have been on the carts already before we started; we had to ask for carts; and they also werent able to answer many questions. The GPS on the carts did not work; which, if you dont have GPS on this course and its your first time, that is a big issue due to the number of blind shots! They told me they would swap out the carts ASAP during our round, but that never happened. They did not provide a refund or discount for this problem either.Anyways, the views on the course were amazing. The course was tough and in good shape. I just wanted to comment on the customer service. Its not worth the money based on the customer service I experienced there.. I dont think Ill be back.

Has group of 19 play and the bunkers were the worst I have ever seen. There was actually a drainage pipe completely above ground for about 15 feet in one. The head pro asked about is about the bunkers and got offended and confrontational when I told him my honest opinion. Dont ask a question of you dont want a persons opinion.

The course was once really nice. We played here frequently the first few years it was open. It has always been challenging and beautiful. However this is the first time we played here in a few years and it was very depressing. First I walked in to the pro shop that once was filled with tons of golf equipment to littlerally a few shirts on the wall. It was deserted. So I played the 50 bucks for 18. Then we go to the driving range only to find a tore up hitting area and weeds everywhere. I start to hit balls and realize that the range balls appear to be 15 year old mixed match balls that have cuts in them and are hard as a rock. I am getting nervous to see the course as of now. We get to the first tee and see what was once beautiful bunkers that have no sand in them and weeds everywhere. All over the whole course the bunkers were terrible. You can tell by the way the course is kept that they are struggling. It is so sad and I would keep your money the golf course is really rough. We also ate at the restaraunt and the food was nothing special.

I cant say enough how accommodating they were in every way.The layout is beautiful and very challenging. The green fees and rental fees were very reasonable as well.Rest assured, if we are in the Canton area again, we will be back. From the guy who answers the phone to the proshop, the starter, the girl in the snack shop, and even the guys that clean the carts they are all rude and incompetent. Mind you we were from out of town, and they knew this and told us we would be refunded if we paid and never got out on the course. Most of us cant make it back, so were stuck with Gift Cards. I hardly ever write reviews only because the experience isnt usually totally terrible. The restaurant was terrible. The inexperience of the staff was very noticeable. My wife and close friends had her 40th class reunion their tonight, Oct.28, 2014. I have never seen so many bad plates. The meat was cold and over cooked, the fish had thick hard cold breading and the chicken was fair. The veggies over cooked on some plates, to a dark over cooked and wilted look. And the red skin potatoes were very much over cooked. The bar was also under staffed with many shortages of stock. To bad they dont want to come back and The Quarry should be a shame.

The layout is impressive with remarkable elevation changes and water features that challenge the player throughout the course. The rough are the other hand is practically knee deep: definitely PGA style. 2 feet off the fairway, there is an excellent chance of losing your ball. I hit my first drive exactly where the starter recommended and spent 10 minutes looking for my ball in the rough. I thought at first that the course hadnt been able to mow because of the rain; however, when I came across a grounds crew member who was mowing the rough, I learned that they like to keep it that way for the challenge. For those of you who like to know what its like to play out of US Open style rough and try to hit over the multiple water hazards, this is the course for you. Be ready to bump up your handicap: and bring lots of balls.
