Was there on 4-30-19 after a 2-10 shift at about 1 in the morning when a cop stopped me and told me it closed at 10. I pulled up this page and showed him where it said it was open 24hrs. He said he needed my information at this point so I gave it to him, then he took my number to clarify and let me know. Of course he didnt call so I went to the police station today to plead my case and they said nope its a city park and closed at 10.

Use the trail often for rollerblading. Really nice trail. I love the recrecent addition of the crossing lights. The only downside is that it frequently builds up sticks and suc h which pose a trip hazard though they do run a street sweeper after storms which really helps. Better maintained than the skate park at Carnes which is frequently unsafe and unusable due to sticks and pine build up etc which is why I use the trace more often. All told its a real stand out feature of Camden that the town is much better off for having. Tip: if you want to try rollerblading the Trace I recommend 90mm wheels or larger as it helps clear twigs and stones more safely and easily and makes for a better experience.

Nice new trail thru one of the more scenic natural areas in Camden. Drinking fountains along the trail with dog friendly features.

A truly fantastic gem in a small town working earnestly to become an ideal destination. The walking and bike trail currently stretches about two miles along the reclaimed railroad that runs from the Old Depot and White House Cafe to Maul Road. Its still in the its early phases with the full trail paved, a few benches in place, and the beginnings of a few play areas for families. Theyre working on lights that will be up soon and numerous other expansion projects. There are already numerous festivals popping up throughout the year to both utilize and support The Trace, and you can even get shirts at Ts Shirt Shop to rep The Trace wherever you go! Step by step they, along with many others, are working to Make Camden Cool!!
