Fun little swimming area, great for kids. Picnic area, footbridge and sand box. And it’s free! Jumping dock farther out for bigger kids who can swim. The water is dirty farther out, so wear your swim shoes.

Scenic but not kept up super well. Camden could do a lot more to be making this a clean and attractive destination.

We love Barretts Cove! Amazing place at the foot of Maidens Cliff. In the summer lots of kids to make new friends with. The shore depth goes very slowly out, in an enclosed swim area to a dock float. The gradual slope helps my kids feel comfortable going farther and farther out as they learn to swim. Lots of picnic space and grass area to set up shop. Always a terrific and beautiful experience

Excellent place for the kids to picnic and splash in the lake. Lake is awesome with a sandy beach access that the kids can enjoy. We can swim in the deep part of the lake and there are changing rooms for privacy too. Beautiful views and this place is a hidden gem. Picnic tables and bbq grills are available as well.

Great for kids. Very shallow water

Not really the cleanest place to go swimming. It is nice to have that public access to this lake which is great but the water is filled with leaves and not a whole bunch of sand. Kids love it here which is great but the changing area is pretty terrible and beat down. There is a dock here which is great and the water is pretty warm.

This place is amazingly beautiful. its quiet and clean and the water is warm and clear. Great place for kids of all ages, water is shallow for a good distance. Theres also a dock for kids to swim to and jump off of. A great place for the family.

Water is clean but under water ground is filled with tree trash. No lifeguard.

Definitely not what I was expecting being so close to the ocean. It is a beautiful fresh water lake though.

One of my favorite mid coast swimming holes, this little park has a lot to offer. A swimming area that is very gradual for all skill levels of swimmers, bathrooms(portable kind), picnic tables, grills, and spectacular views. Kids can swim, adults sit back and see some pretty.

Have been coming here for years. Water, beach, and picnic area always kept clean. Has bathrooms and changing areas if needed. Never super crowded and plenty of parking. A great day out if you are staying in the Camden area with the family.

Many good times here with family, girlfriends, and friends. Beautiful little fresh water beach with plenty to do on the grass or in water.

If you have a dog or 3 Goldens the best place for them to swim run and have a ball. We lost 2 tennis balls but the dogs were exhausted. Nice picnic area. We were there in October and had the whole beach to ourselves..,be back in October

This beach is a delightful refuge when the mid-coast weather gets hot (yes, occasionally it does). A cool, shaded stream flows through the park for little ones, and, of course, there is the beautiful Megunticook lake for swimming. There is a roped-off swim area with a float for diving.

This is a great spot for a picnic or swim. Water shoes are a good idea, since the bottom is mucky in some spots, with sand in some spots and fallen leaves in others.

Great beach with amazing views! I am glad we didnt pass this one up on our vacation :)
