The Church has iconic status. Architecture is wondrous. Totally worth your while exploring the building. But anyway, this is church youd see in postcards. So go ahead. Create your own postcard. Go there especially in spring and fall. Snap a few pictures. Youll have your wallpaper by the end of the excursion!
Non-denominational church that hosts Harvards different faith ministries. A nice contemplative space
It is a beautiful and unique place for a church with out a denomination. It holds concerts, memorials, regular church services for the Harvard community . The architecture is simple and elegant reflecting the style of the time. It has a similarity for its ceiling with Symphony Hall, but less elaborate.I attended classical concerts, like Mozart Requiem, or Gospel choir concert. The acustics are good and give the event a Harvard dignity.
Its a shame politics cant be kept out the church service. The divisiveness of politics should have no place here. The building itself is nice and the choir was magnificent!
Beautiful church in middle of Harvard Campus. You can hear the bells ring at times.
Holy
Great looking church open to all with a nice world war memorial
A Master Class of Bach music was in process. What amazing acoustics!
Magnificent building. Interesting connection with Southwark cathedral in London
Beautiful Episcopal chapel, built in memory of the Harvard men who died in the civil war. See the memorial to them just inside one of the doors. The great Peter Gomes preached here until his untimely demise in 2011. Many of his sermons still available online. Worth a listen.
Its memorial Church. At Harvard. Its pretty much what you would expect a church at Harvard to be. Worship service with veins of political commentary running through it
Exceptionally beautiful venue.
Excellent memorial for our veteran S/heroes.
An historic church in immaculate condition. I especially liked the capitals featuring the 4 Gospels.
Nice. Closed until September
Beautiful space.
Beautiful historical and wonderful
Loved it....loved it
Beautiful
Since I walk by the Church on my way to work, this morning I decided to attend their Morning Prayers in Appleton Chapel. The Order of Worship included an Organ Prelude, Responsive Reading, Anthem, Lesson from Scripture, Address, Prayer, The Lords Prayer, a Hymn and a Benediction -- all in 15 minutes! Despite its brevity, the service was very thoughtful, respectful and with a full choir present in all its glory. I was genuinely moved by how much love and attention was reflected in every detail of the proceedings.
Very nice church!!!
Beautiful church at the heart of Harvards campus. The choir here is amazing. Look out for special events and concerts that happen here all the time.
A beautiful church, where Harvard let us host a worship night in front of their building! Needless to say, we felt and saw God show up!
Beautiful traditional service.
Built in 1744, this church is situated on Harvard campus and besides a church is also often used for conferences and events. It is also a stage sometimes for concerts and commencement day in May. I really like the area outside the church, where you can sit, study or read while overlooking the Yard.
A great place to hear the word of God. Especially when Rev Dr.Peter Gomes was the minister.
Beautiful architecture. I unfortunately didnt have time to check out inside or anything.
Awesome spot
This is where commencement day is held, hosting 20.000 seating guests. The history of Harvard was built around this church, where Harvard students that pased away during the world wars are honoured.
