It was an incredible experience to drive out here and visit this temple to see it in person. its not the biggest by size but its definitely worth the trip. i was lucky enough to show up right before a prayer ceremony took place. i stood in the back while the actual followers of the religion followed along in their own language with the prayers. its a great place to visit even through this whole CoViD lock down.

Best Hindu temple I have come across. This place reminds me of being in a Temple in India. Only downside is the food in cafeteria. Never seen such bad quality/taste. I am sure a better food choice will bring more people to spend more and can increase money for the temple fund. As for as the place is concerned gives you the serenity you never thought you wanted.

Temple is great and priests are amazing. Sense a bit of political struggle within the temple management. Watch out for volunteers and staff at the door asking for money in public and trying to work on embarrassment tactics, specially during covid times.Good for one time visit as oppose to weekly worship. Almost feels like one is going for a paid show as opposed to a temple. Really sad!

This is an absolutely beautiful Temple located in the middle of Malibu. It has been open during the COVID-19 lockdown for socially distanced darshan, as the deities are kept outside. It has not been crowded on any of my visits and it is very peaceful. This is a must visit Temple in LA for anyone. All people are welcome to check it out, no need to be Hindu or even Indian!

This temple is generally known as malibu hindu temple. The temple houses Lord Venkteswara in standing posture, with Lakshmi and Andal, separately housed within the premises. The temple is maintained very neat and tidy. it is painted white and looks very nice. the structure is as per vedic styles, prevailing in southindia. There were priests, with vedic knowledge, conducting various ceremonies pertaining to the temple poojas etc.this temple was crowded. there was a marriage getting solemnised in front of the deity, when we visited the temple.

Great place. Amazing tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. The temple is itself nestled in a very peaceful location. The amazing architecture reminds of the temples in India. The temple is huge and very well kept. There is a cafe where you can purchase meals and prasad at very reasonable prices, I think it was $3 for a plate of amazing tamarind rice.

We stumbled upon a beautiful Hindu temple on our drive to Malibu, which we ended up circling back to walk through and view later on. Make sure to check hours before you go, they are only open certain hours during the day. Looks big passing by but it is a very small temple hidden in the Malibu mountains. Its beautiful and free to visit. You just have to be mindful and respectful and take off your shoes.

Beautiful, peaceful place. It’s a Hindu temple, but they welcome anyone who wants to visit and wander around the grounds. There is great Indian lunch served in the cafeteria on the bottom level (kind of a maze to find it). Very inexpensive, but pretty authentic. You have to go in barefoot or in socks, no shoes allowed. My in-laws visited from India and this was their favorite place in Los Angeles!

Malibu hindu temple is Balaji and shiv temple located between a beautiful surroundings of nature. Temple is big and its architecture and work on marble is awesome. Between hills and farmhouses a lot of empty surrounds and a marble temple which maintain sacred and holy environment. Along with Shiv and Balaji some mall temples of Ganesh, Ram laxman sita, parvati, karthick, nav grah, hanuman temples also there. Have enough space for parking and good hall for indian cultural or holly functions. Temple has its office and kitchen where u buy prasadam in minimal charges.

The most peaceful and serene temple in Southern California. I follow the principles of Hinduism, but even if you are not religious, it is a great place to come and meditate or take some time for yourself. There are two temples at this location, each with their own respective deities. Please check opening times, as they have morning and afternoon periods when the temple is open to the public.

When it comes to places of worship - I start at 5 stars and take away if the establishment is in someway lacking... There wasnt any reason to.The Malibu Hindu Temple is located in a serene and quiet locality... The place has a calming effect. On a rather cold morning, I was able to sit in the sun and be by myself.I believe on weekends they have a free public vegetarian lunch that a patron donates... Called preeti-bhoj (love-feast)... Check before setting expectations! Its worth a visit, you may find yourself returning!

A beautiful serene place, just go and sit there in the peaceful atmosphere and come out with your mind fully rejuvenated and soothed. Also, the food served in the cafeteria is really satisfying and almost free. When we visited we were served by a super cool guy named Ganesha who also cooks the food. I have to mention his name because I was really impressed with his kindness and humility. A must visit place, no matter what religion you belong to, everyone is welcome.

Its a great drive but the temple is small and kind of run down. You cant take pictures and I respect that. I would stop if your passing by but nothing special here to see. I reminded myself to drive slower and be aware of the quiet surroundings and the purpose of this Hindu temple.I didnt know what to expect but I knew I had to put my best foot forward and respect others who came to worship.Remove your shoes upon arrival, rack were at clear sight; immediately a friendly signage telling you donations were gladly accepted for the upkeep of the temple as well as the whereabouts of other facilities.I found myself stopped at almost every other foot step gazing at the white lively sculptures, goddess and elephants. Perhaps I felt the dusk under my feet, but that didnt stop me from wandering further and perhaps the hot ceramic tiles reminds me of overcoming challenges and obstacles, I felt humility.By noon, I must left this temple; but the smile on my face never left my mind.I am very happy and peaceful.
