What an amazing place to stay. This historical home is full of beautiful architecture, antiques, and youll feel like you are stepping back in time to experience Butte in the late 1800s, the tour is great, and we slept comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very kind and accommodating. This is an experience you dont want to miss!

I absolutely loved stepping back in time in this beautiful bed and breakfast. This place is filled with furnishings and other antiques dating to the time this mansion was in its hey day here in Butte. The owners are the best hosts and are so fun to talk to. We stayed in the Family Suite, and it was beautiful. I must say the whole experience is amazing. Our hosts, Erin and Pat were friendly, kind and loved to answer all our questions. The breakfast Erin prepared was delicious. We were so lucky that she spent some time with us and shared some additional stories not heard on the tour.We also were able to catch the tour and the detail in this mansion is remarkable. If we ever return to Butte that will be our go to place hands downs. Try it out you won’t be disappointed!

What a great mansion! The stories were fantastic! Our guide was excellent. We were there with a large group and he could be heard easily. He had a deep voice, was very patient making sure everyone got inside the room he was discussing and spoke very clearly. He knew so much about the mansion and family. Found out that this was his 3rd summer being a docent. Had a great sense of humor also! It took 1 1/2 hrs. to do the tour. Definitely worth the $10. My husband and I gave him a nice tip.Very enjoyable!

Stayed in the master suite,, loved it. Some things happened during the night that caused us to wake several times, I recorded all night, I have recorded a Male voice that said his name was Herb,, the next morning I talked to the owner and she told me that her husband and her were friends with a Herb who had passed. Anyway the place is Beautiful and I hope to go back again.

WE GOT SOOOO LUCKY TO FIND THIS B&B!!!The Copper King Mansion is a one of a kind experience that we were extremely lucky to find (Thanks Google!). The room comes with an awesome tour ($10/person value) of the property by an extremely knowledgeable tour guide (thanks TJ!). You get a great feel for what it was like to live in the late 1800s. All the furniture, rooms, and ambiance is set up like the mansion was back in the copper Barron days of Butte. The room also comes with a free full-on breakfast worth at least $10/person (we had fruit, eggs cooked with red and green peppers, onions, and cheese and strawberry crepes). They even had a shower from the late 1800s which was very unique. Claw foot cast iron soaking tubs. Frescas on the ceilings. Authentic all around!!

We are from Salt Lake and took the noon tour today Sept 2nd. This mansion is amazing with such history. Our tour guide was Zach and he was awesome, highly intelligent, fun and a great sense of humor. The history of William Clark is fascinating and to this day the mansion has retained its authenticity. The people are so friendly I highly recommend that you tour this historic place. Ask for Zach.

The guide at this working museum of affluent life in early Butte history was a young man that really seemed to enjoy his work. Very enthusiatic and funny. He told a lot of very interesting stories about the house, the times and the family. Interestingly this historic house is a working bed & breakfast and people were checking in as we were on the tour. The mansion is wonderful but the your guide Zach has to go. Insulting to Irish, political jabs...instead of glorifying the beautiful building he knocked the owner..rich people. Irish Nuns, decorations, on and on. I went through 20 years ago and a very professional lady told us all about this beautiful home and the owners and I felt educated and amazed...today I left angry and disappointed.

I love the Copper King, though part of me doesnt want to rate it because I want to make sure the rooms arent all full the next time we go! ;) In all seriousness, it was a phenomenal experience. I stayed there for one night last week with 2 friends in Andrees room, and we also took a tour. The staff are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable, considering the owners grew up in the mansion. Erin treated us like we were part of her family for the night, which was a really welcoming experience. Our tour guide was Maureen, who told us she had only been working there for two weeks, but she already seemed to have learned quite a bit about the mansion and didnt seem nearly that new. Moreover, she was interested and enthusiastic about her job, which is really what makes someone good at what they do. I hope shes there the next time we go. Breakfast was served in the elegant dining hall with about 10 of us seated around the table, so we got to get to know the other visitors. It was a great meal of fruit, French Toast with powdered sugar, juice, and more coffee than I could drink. My friends and I are already planning and saving up for next year, because we want to stay in the master suite for at least 4 days so we can just enjoy being there instead of exploring Butte all day like we did this time. Thank you, Erin, Maureen, and crew! Mal, Cassie, and Brenna

What a beautiful piece of Butte history. Built by one of the Copper Kings, during the late 1800s this mansion is open to the public April thru October, and open by invitation otherwise. We were unfortunate to not tour the inside. But our local friend told us they have slept overnight here. Looking forward to my next trip to Butte.

We stayed one night in Hugette’s room and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious and so nicely decorated with authentic items from the era. It was a special occasion for us and we were immediately happy that we chose here to celebrate. The feel of the mansion was very warm and inviting. It was like being a kid at the grandparents house - so many neat things and it’s ok to touch, just be careful. We are history buffs, so getting so close and personal with the history of the area and the story of W.A. Clark was like getting to sleep over in the museum.Breakfast was fresh fruit and French toast with local huckleberry syrup. Maria, part of the owning family, sat with us and visited, giving us a preview of the tour and some other local history, as well as just getting to know us.The tour took about an hour and a half, which was a little longer than advertised. We had lots of questions and there was time, so our guide seemed happy to accommodate us.If you enjoy history and b&b, this is a great place to stay.

My fiance and I stayed at Copper King Mansion for one night. It was such an interesting place within walking distance to places to eat, and the owners were so nice and helpful. They make breakfast individually for each room of guests and it was delicious, especially the coffee! We were heading south for the solar eclipse right after and the owners spent over an hour talking to us about the best places to see it. Id recommend staying here to anyone looking for something more unique and intimate than an average hotel. The only downside was that the internet was very slow in our room (the Master Suite).

This mansion is breath taking & the owners are very nice and hospitable. The only downfall is that its very cluttered. They have so much stuff everywhere you look that it takes away from the beauty and craftsmanship of the building. Also, I felt like the tour was a waist of time. My wife and I (from Idaho) stayed at the Copper King B&B while traveling last summer. John (a retired Navy Veteran) and TJ were our hosts. John is also one of the siblings that own, and run, the B&B. Took the tour (with TJ) and was impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm. John was very helpful in guiding us around town and I hope to make another stop there on future trips.
