Nice, convenient and clean park! Plenty of room for my four-legged family member to run off his energy, and a great opportunity for him to check his pee-mail! Great dogs and great family members! Bear recognizes the way and just shakes with anticipation and squeals from about three blocks away!

Absolutely terrible experience. Brought our puppy (50lb, 5 month old) here and before even getting past the entrance a very large dog jumped on our puppy and would not get off. Ended up having to pull this large dog off because owner was at the other end of the park and not showing any movement towards the situation. I was very unimpressed. Did not get an apology from the owner. My puppy’s ear was bit and bloody. The owner of the aggressive dog did nothing to mitigate the situation. Our puppy has been doing wonderfully playing with big dogs at other dog parks. Will definitely not be going back to this one.

This place is pretty fine. I would say that it is a dog park, and it is good. I’ve had a couple gripes, mostly with the small sand particles that are just so darn stubborn, can’t they make larger sands that don’t get stuck in dog paws and get tracked? They must find a new source for their sand. My dog has had a couple of issues, but it is a wild animal and sometimes us owners don’t train our dogs correctly to be socialized. Oh well, allswell that inswell.

It was my first time at this place, Its a nice, big park, all gated, it has three entrances, it has separate area for small dogs, agility area, but I dont know why the water fountain wasnt working, good thing I had bottle of water in the car, also surprisingly some dog owners didnt pay attention to their own dogs pooping, and not cleaning, my dog stepped on it, which not pleasant, otherwise its a nice park.

Really good park. Good location. Dogs seem to have lots of fun. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because the small dog area could be bigger and because all the water fountains are turned off. Also most of the time the bag area has no bags so make sure to bring your own. Other than that a really good park to Bing your dogs too.

Layout is okay and main area not much bigger than a big backyard which was okay but what wasn’t okay is the behavior of an owner. I have 2 large dogs-Pari Wolf and a Boxer. They are VERY well trained and I have a protocol when taking them new places. We enter, sit, make sure there isn’t too much high energy and excitement because I never know how well behaved others are-just saying. As we were acclimating an owner let her dog bum rush my still leashed animals. That’s not okay under any circumstances and since she seemed to be acting camp greeter she should have known better PARTICULARLY since she had never seen us before. My Wolf warned him off and my Boxer just wanted to play-different strokes. My point, which I tell my dogs ALL THE TIME is Mind Your Business! Before you enter there is a list of park rules-OKAY....but remember, just because it is your neighborhood enclave doesn’t mean new folks won’t utilize your facility, which means that YOU have to follow the RULES too if for nothing else than leading by example and showing a friendly face cause you never know whom you might be offending-big dollar donor or a politically connected person. Just Saying -

Great little dog park!!! Many of us local regulars have been doing our best to keep the park cleaned & fixed for all dog lovers! The parks & rec have brought a few loads of bark, however a few more piles would be appreciated! Not one big pile but a pile near gate below and near steps below. Baskets have been placed near entrances for dog balls, toys, please not trash. A note to visitors if coming to the park please pick up after your dog including placing toys back in baskets. This is helpful for we get much rain in northwest and this helps wash off toys by having them in baskets. Another secure bench below near rounded corner would be appreciated as well. There are three up top but none below. It would be nice to get the broken not too nice chairs removed. Some one thought this is a dump site for there patio chairs....well they just get peed on and most are broken. Not cool. The fountain really needs some work. The lower button doesnt not produce enough pressure and there for takes long to fill water bowls. To who ever keeps tying a rope around this needs to stop. This is causing issues not to mention people are not turning it back off properly. Just need more pressure please to get water out. Lastly, the sidewalk cement path is never maintained and sand is too much. Hard for wheel chairs to come in. Parks & rec please sweep this off more regularly would be appreciated & getting the board/sign put up would be nice. I went to meeting two summers ago and no board up still. Many of us enjoy this park and hope it improves. Thank you to the locals including myself who help maintain this park. Could really use a bit more from parks & rec.

I have a beagle who will take off if not on a leash. Id been looking for a nearby (West Seattle) fully fenced in dog park since moving here a year ago. I stumbled upon this park by way of a sign in Burien proper. Totally fenced in! It was clean and had plenty of room for him to sniff his little heart out. There are several sections for smaller and larger dogs, plenty of bags if you for get yours and clean water for them to stay hydrated. Super happy about this find!

Just a few things:1) Park is okay, very small and limited places to sit, other chairs are dirty2) The majority of (white) people go there are pretty much racist3) When going to the dog park, a lot of people there like to make their OWN dog park rules(no pits or dog has to be neutered)My experience: I come here sometimes(but rarely)- when i’m lazy to drive to the other dog parks i actually like. we get to the park and there’s not many people except for these two old white ladies on the bench with their dog and a few other people. my pup is trying to find someone to play with and he greets their dog and moves on. another owner and their dog comes in and THEIR dog automatically tries to jump my dog and so i wait till their owner comes and gets him. but the other dog keeps trying to attack MY pup and they’re going at it, mind you the other dog is fully grown. they’re by the old lady and she tries to push them away but the OTHER dog NIPS her, NOT MINE but the OTHER dog. so i’m checking if my dog is okay and i’m hearing her track to the other dog owner “dogs who aren’t neutered can get aggressive and i think i’ve told her before” (not knowing she was talking about me) MIND YOU IVE NEVER SEEN THIS WOMEN BEFORE. she goes and tells me “miss i think i’ve told you before, you’re pup is friendly in the beginning but then he starts to get aggressive” and i’m like ????? 1)my dog is not neutered but he did not bite you. 2) my dog didn’t start the fight, the one that BIT you did. 3) i’ve never seen you before. 4) there’s no where in the dog park that says you’re dog has to be neutered in order to come play. But instead of arguing, i left. anyone who goes to the dog park know there is no need to “talk” to dog owners who are one minded and it clearly was none of her business. Won’t be coming back.Dog park recc: Grandview Dog park on des moines and West crest dog park

It is a very nice place to visit for the dogs to meet other dogs, get the energy out.I only wish it would be a little bit bigger and couple of the gates set up a little closer to the ground. In some places the fence (in the gate area) has a gap on the bottom large enough for a small dog to get through. Just be aware...

Uh, this is pretty pathetic, and Im being polite. Sure, most dogs wont complain because...they never do. But if your best companion has ever been to the most average of dog parks and could write a review, it would mirror this. One word? Trashy. Its obviously not on the city maintenance schedule for city parks, its all gravel and sand, and anything resembling a blade of grass is burned out and the layout is a mish-mash of unleveled...parcel. Ive seen rail yards in better condition frankly. The city needs to address this or cease to advertise with a straight face that this is a park.

I was excited to learn that Burien FINALLY had its own dog park, but upon arrival I was a little disappointed. The park is small, awkwardly designed with the upper and lower play area. But what disappointed and angered me the most was all the broken glass scattered everywhere. We stayed for all of 10 minutes in the dog park, and as we walked around there was broken glass everywhere! This was a safety concern for us so we left. Come to find out that when we got home one of our dogs had a deep gash with a splinter of glass in his paw.Im dumbfounded as to how the city could deem the park safe to open when there were shards of glass everywhere, its a safety issue and we will not be returning. Im hoping this changes for the safety of all the dogs that go through the park.
