Great park. Stopped in during a layover on an Alaska eBike Store gravity team trip. Nice bit of refreshing wilderness inside the city. Small amounts of arsenic may be in the soil but that shouldnt spoil the scenery.

Beautiful wooded park. Good variety of foods in Skateboard park. This was a carnival atmosphere for the Arts a Glow light festival. Lights throughout the Dotty Harper park at dusk. Creative designs. Really beautiful. There were booths set up on the street.

First time here Beautiful place, so much graffiti on monument signs and treasure playground. There is receptacles for trash, no one uses this. There is a Community Center right next to it and have a Gigantic dumpster. Sad to say. Dottie Harper Park, is just another home not for the community but for someone else recollection. Nice, but not maintain by no one not even the community.

Its a nice park and all but it doesn’t make sense to have young children hanging out in this toxic environment. I don’t get it.

This is a magical park in the heart of Burien. My four kids (4 - 12) love the forest below the playground, and the slide they can take to get there! The annual Arts-a-Glow is a fantastic festival put on in the fall at Dottie Harper, and turns it even more into a magical fairyland. While there are individuals who sleep against the house during the day, we have never been approached or made to feel unsafe.

Its really pretty, and so much fun to play at with my son. Very close to the parks department. Generally pretty safe, but from time to time very seedy homeless people will hang around the back deck of the Dottie Harper house within sight and bother people.

Nice park. But close to the street so not great for younger kids that may attempt to wonder. I think there is a nearby homeless camp because alot of homeless roaming around. But they are polite, just worry about possible drug usage. Havent had a problem yet, just a concern which is why I havent given 5 stars. Still a great park.

Lights and lanterns festival in Burien . Very pretty. Lots of fun and families. Light up costumes. Beautiful setting amongst the trees. Free parking at community center next to the park. People created some of their own lanterns. There were classes for making the lanterns. Two dragon puppets walked through the park with 3 puppeteers each moving the head, body, and tail. Very nice. Great for families.

The kids playground is good for five and under. The woods are good for another 15 minutes of free play. But it does seem to have a sketchy crowd that hangs out (lives?) there.

The fact that the park is close to the street is scary. Plus you have to park by the community center and walk to it up a hill. The other day we were there, we found a homeless man sleeping.
