This is a monument in Vallhala Cemetery in North Hollywood/Burbank. Its a really ornate tribute to pioneers in the aviation field. There is a small space shuttle replica right behind it.I give it 3 stars not because of the monument itself but because of the people it attracts. Quite frequently you see some cheap and mindless people using it as a yoga work out spot or a Pokemon Go stop. They exercise on top of deceased ones plaques, or throngs of Pokemon people block grieving families trying to get to a funeral.
Wouldnt call it a museum since there arent any exhibits apart from the model of the space shuttle. The architecture of the monument is outstanding. Be aware that this is a part of a cemetery.
It is hard to believe but this is inside the Pierson Valhala Memorial cemetery. The grounds are spectacular! Trust me when I tell you...you dont have to stay...just DRIVE THRU! It so honors our fallen!
Great place to see the impact of Burbank on aviation history.
Beautiful and peaceful walk around this area.
I took my cousin and my boyfriend here. My cousin is in the air force and my boyfriend is an engineer. It was so fun watching the both of them nerd out we had a great time.
Beautifully serene and hidden. If you love airplanes, history and a conservative feel- you will love this place.
I was at a the cemetery.
