This is a small, local museum with a knowledgeable volunteer staff but short hours. Its a great place to learn about the history of the area and pioneers in general. Plan on an hour or less to see everything.
Nice little place hidden away in suburban area. Not easy to spot unless one seeks it out or stumbles upon it. Place is small but has good historical artifacts and gives idea on how the area had transformed. They also have some nice vintage collections that may appeal to curious ones.
A great way to learn about the history of the area.
Great for our grandkids, and remembering some fond memories we my great uncles who lived on property where the museum sets.
Great little (free!) museum featuring local history... one exhibit covers the areas development starting with the Native Americans, then farming, then recent history as a suburb. Another exhibit is in the Streets of Yesteryear style with a general store and train depot you can walk through. Fun for the kids, and parents or grandparents can pick up a thing or two or reminisce with the kids.
Great for children t -10 years old.

Fantastic place if you would like to learn about history of Buffalo Grove. Highest quality displays and arrangements of exhibits. An hour well spent!
