EVEN THOUGH I CALLED IN ADVANCE AND WAS TOLD WE COULD DO 1 RACE AND THE WEBSITE DOES AS WELL! THIS GIRL LIED AND STOLE MONEY FROM ME, FORCING ME TO SPEND $100 MORE THAN I PLANNED! SHE INFORMED US THAT 2 RACES WAS THE MINIMAL OPTION!I CALLED COMPLAINED AND WANTED A REFUND!! THEY INSTRUCTED ME THE MANAGER WOULD CALL AND ISSUE 1, NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM! SO I CALLED CORPORATE TODAY, I WILL ALSO BE FILLING A POLICE REPORT BECAUSE IM SURE IM NOT THE ONLY PERSON SHE LIED AND STOLE MONEY FROM!IF YOU HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE, YOU SHOULD CALL AND GET A FULL REFUND!! THIS IS A TERRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND SHADY!!!THE STAFF IS RUDE AND A BUNCH OF KIDS ARE RUNNING THE PLACE!! THEY ALSO DONT SANITIZE THE HELMETS COVERING OUR HEADS AND FACES!! WHEN I ASKED THE STAFF ABOUT SANITIZING MY HELMET SHE SAID I QUOTE... THEY USUALLY DO (THIS MEANS THEY DIDNT)!!!!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY, THERE WAS NO SANITIZING! THEY ARE BREWING COVID 20 IN THAT PLACE!!!! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!!!

This is my 1st visit to K1 Speed - Indoor Go Karts. It’s a Great experience had fun while racing with my buddy’s....!!Very friendly staff and Awesome karts. They have Large racing areas separate for adult & junior racers. Their is a bar area too. Over all experience is good!!

This will forever be one of my favorite places on planet earth...k1Speed = 100% essential business... please dont shut down ever again

Very fun place dont get me wrong. But if you get an email for your birthday saying you get a free race for your birthday you should be allowed to use it. My birthday is October 6 I got the email a week ago. I went today on September 22 hoping to use my free coupon that got emailed to me, just to be told no by the cashier because my birthday is in October. You shouldnt send emails for peoples birthday a month before their birthday if they cant use it. Especially when my birthday is 2 weeks away.

Quality equipment, well maintained place, my daughter loved it. I enjoyed tremendously, as well. We went at the end of the day, so it wasnt so crowded. Well worth it.

Forget the fact that nobody answers the phone all Sunday long. We came and spent god twenty minutes in line tended by one attended so line wasn’t moving at all. People were not wearing masks inside. Workers half wore their masks (on their chins). It’s clear nobody cares about safety measures. We left. Did not feel safe or welcoming.

This place is great! My family and I have tons of fun here. The staff is super nice and the manager is always making sure everyone is having a great time. My older son love’s participating in the Junior League.

Great experience for my 8 year olds birthday. The bartender upstairs was great. We really had an awesome time.

I loved it. The carts (surprisingly) were electric which meant rapid acceleration. Corners were well arranged for the size. My son keeps nagging now - lets go again, lets go again, ...

Some carts dont have as much juice and are slower so if you are here for serious competition make sure you get equal karts other than that service was great nothing to complain about.

Lotsa fun, takes getting used to electric karts if youve only ever used gas before. Throttle response is much, much quicker.

The place was nice, the karts also good, nice staff. Experience was super bad. We were in a group of 10. Our group was expecting something exciting. In the classification race was good and everyone enjoyed and got more excited about to the race. When everyone was aligned to start, green flag and all the karts started to move and .... No speed at all? We were not racing... We were so slow that no one could do anything... we were driving with less than half speed of the previous race. I love karts and I brought my friends for their first time to have a good time. Result of the day .... we paid to much for a kids test drive ... disappointed!

It was awesome, more then we expected when we looked it up will definitely be back!

Dont get me wrong the races are fun and the staff was chill.However they made a mistake with our groups race order and had us wait 2 hours because they had to finish current partys. By the time we had our turn again I was just to upset to enjoy the race anymore. And all they had to offer our group was a FREE Race for next time. As compensation so overall it was just a rough first time experience for our group and if we do go again to use the one free race hopefully it will be a better experience.

Nice place to go and race some go-karts.2 tracks indoors and it never seems to be super busy. They are timed laps so you dont have to worry about what place you come in if youre super competitive. The prices are a little higher in comparison to other places but not many go kart places around so it is what it is. There is a few other games such as air hockey and TVs around. Definitely worth bringing the kids or family. Over all Ill go back. They do make you purchase a first time membership for 7 dollars so be prepared for that.

To be honest if others are rating this place one star. That’s because they arnt into racing. I love this place. They are professional and the carts are sportie

Supper friendly staff. Classification race was really nice. Then they cut down the speed without telling us in advance. We (group of 10) feel racing in Barbie mobile.

We use to go here sometimes. I noticed not enough cooperation between workers. We bought 3 times. They skip us one time and even if I told him a couple times about it. Maybe more professionalism!? I also didn’t like they controlled the speed.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The karts are deceivingly fast. Not for the faint of heart. $48 +tax for 3 races and I feel like I got my moneys worth. My 16 yo son loved putting the pedal to the metal and never hitting the brakes!

Awesome place to go have some fun with friends. You can bring your own helmet, they supply you with a headsock. A location that cares about fun as well as safety for their customers. Also have great food, drinks and games upstairs.

This is a fun place for children and adults, and I highly recommend it. Even after we left, the kids would not stop talking about it. We all had a great time and cannot wait to return.

When to celebrate a birthday. What a scam, be sure to clarify the price when you arrive. We were told $320 on the phone and charged $520 at the end. Pushy staff. Spend your money elsewhere. Pizza was terrible but I guess it was decently priced.

Great time. Did the racing as a work event- young/older/doesnt matter all had a good time. Cars were fast..turns were sharp..staff was friendly.

Our group called Saturday to confirm you were open on Sunday and not booked for bday parties, etc, and how it works. Staff told us to come on in. 4 families (10 kids and 5 adults) showed up with kids excited beyond belief. We drove from the city so 50 minutes and some of the kids were only recently tall enough (51 and taller) to be able to do it for their first time. We found out that the advice was inaccurate and very poor, as our 12:45 arrival would only allow us to race at 2:30 for the kids and 3:30 for the adults. Sitting for 2-3 hours is not very practical in any way. Very little crying by the little ones as we found another activity but we left without racing and with the 4 dads questioning if we should ever come back. Im sure you realize customer experience and word of mouth go hand in hand, and you lost our current and future business today. Im not sure if its a location by location rule to avoid transparency hoping for walk-ins, or if the Buffalo Grove location is alone in doing this, but it might be worth rethinking your policies and customer service approach.

K1 was a blast! The track is short and fast. The electric carts have lots of torque and a very wide power band. My kids loved it and were tired after 2 races. We did 2 races, membership and a tshirt for $50. What a bargain!

Awesome place, been there plenty of times. The gokarts are always fast and fun, well maintained, the place is awesome. This, location is the easier of the two, the location in Arlington heights is harder, more bends, but just as fun. both locations are really fun and are great for a weekend. Prices arent bad, and the wait time is normally next to none.

A lot of fun and let’s you get your racing needs out of your system. I came here for part of my bachelor party and had a great time! Have been back a couple of times since.You can bring your own helmet if you have it and if you are doing several races, some suggest bringing gloves.

Very frustrating, they slowed the kart at specific sections of the race track, they could simple reduce the overall power of the kart if they were seeking more safety, but when they reduced the power in specific points of the circuit, id made me a simple passenger not a racer, there is no fun in it.

We had our company outing, and everyone had fun. The food was great, and the go-karts are fast. They go up to 45mph!! These cars move fast and turn on a dime!

I did not have a good experience in this place. The kids who are attending the track are terrible - the boy who explained the rules of driving was talking so fast I couldnt understand a word he said, my cart wouldnt start for 5 minutes, the staff was constantly waiving flags for no apparent reason (someone bumped into me and the staff waived the flag at my car, because the other person was a regular). If you are a regular here you probably know your way around, but if you are trying this out I would definitely stay away.

Staff was very friendly for us first timers. GoKarts are a blast, first time driving electric ones. It was a let-down to learn that I could not have my helmet mounted GoPro to record my races (for liability reasons it was explained).We got 3 races and have to say, I think 2 races (14 laps each) was plenty, but the 3rd race was slightly too much for me as I started feeling a bit sick, but that always happens in SixFlags for me... I will definitely be back!!!

Track was fun. Karts seemed to be in good order. Bathroom had no soap. Told the staff, they said they would get soap in the bathroom next day. That part was disgusting. The rest was awesome!

From reception to staff all was terribleits definitely not worth itthere were three of usand we chased with some another pairanother guy cut me down twice but he was not slowed down by staffand my husband who is professional in racing cars was slowed downed by staff. They put his speed lower with the controller without of any reason.when my husband asked why they did it , they did not answer, they just laughed. these guys are not serious and rude , they just bullied. this place is definitely not worth it believe me. First of all, it is not cheap, and second thing no one should be like they were to customers which paying money!

Went for my first time just to check it out and the staff were very helpful in explaining how everything worked. Spoke to the manager and he was very eager to help us in any way possible then let us walk around the track and watch

I took my husband here for a surprise and we both had so much fun!! I didn’t give full stars bc the track was a little small but overall it was a lot of fun!!!!

SOOO much fun!!! Great night out with friends! Raced 3 times and it was awesome! Just wish the track was wider and longer, its hard to pass people and can result in a harmless mini crash which the place frowns upon.

This place is a lot of fun--you go REALLY fast! A couple of things to be aware of: (1) if you are prone to motion sickness, maybe medicate yourself first, so you dont have trouble. (2) if youre new or casual, and you dont have a group large enough to fill a race, you may end up in a race with regulars who seem a little bit hyper-competitive. (3) again, if youre new and are prone to motion sickness, you should be aware that its the slower drivers responsibility to get over to let faster people behind you pass--that can be difficult, frustrating, and involves a lot of looking backwards while whipping through turns at 40+ mph.My advice to new or casual drivers would be to pre-medicate any motion sickness, and try to race in a group of 8 where everyone is about as serious as you are.

The Carts shut down mid-track run because they are so beat up and affects the run time. They control how fast carts go during track runs.

Driving the carts was really fun and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, but everyone should be aware that these carts are electric and therefore extremely heavy because of the battery packs used, this makes operating the steering wheel extremely difficult, after two or three laps your arms will be very tired, the problem is they have too many laps per race and this causes the experience to be tiresome. you wouldnt think that a go-kart would require power steering, but these carts actually would benefit from such a addition.

I love Go Karts but today i had a bad experience with the guys on the track ... Rude.. Making stupid coments and rolling eyes if you make a mistake... Really? We just spent 100$ here for 20 minutes.. 1* for Customer service .

I walked in there once and I was just blown away by the idea of the concept all electric indoor go karts, so no more fire suits yay!they dont have helmet cams and video angles of the races yet but you get stat sheets and leaderboards for over the weeks to have kid teen and adult leagues really fun place great cars 2 looks like.

Go for the racing not for the food. Theres better pizza at Chuck-E-Cheese.

If you are a go kart nut this is the place for you. It is kind of expensive but you do get to race for a while. The races are won by who runs the fastest time as well.

We took 8 kids here for a birthday party, all of whom were over the 58in minimum requirement. After arriving we were told 3 of the kids still could not ride in the adult cars even though they were over 58in because their range of motion in the car was not acceptable. Although I understand the reason is for safety, this should have been explained on the website and not after I planned a party, drove 30min, and paid $350. 8 disappointed kids...ugh.

Okay. Not much crowded. Went there on Monday. Only three of us in the whole bar.

I didnt want to leave. It was absolutely, exhilarating! Just a pure adrenaline rush. It caters to teens and adults and is just crazy fun. The staff is also very friendly and they do an incredible job running the track.
