I took my fiancée here after dinner during Valentines Day and it was an unforgettable experience. We dined at a restaurant nearby the Independence Hall lights and I took her here since I heard good things about the place.

Ive been coming here with my parents and now with my kids since the 70s. Sometimes weve come in the evening when it is closed and it is still a very cool place to look at from the outside. Having said that, going inside and seeing all of the history and watching and listening to the debate regarding signing the Declaration of Independence is a very moving experience when you think about it from the perspective of the signers in 1776. We have 7 and 10 year old daughters and they both enjoyed looking around although not as much as my wife and I. We will go again when we are back in Cali. Shout out to the gentleman working there and providing history and facts. What a very nice and super informative guy. Keep him around Knotts, hes awesome.

Not good for kids. I remember visiting here when I was 11 and it was so boring. Maybe its more interesting for adults who like history. I wouldnt recommend bringing kids here though. The fact you only listen and there are no actors or animatronics makes it boring.

The best place to look at the Liberty Bell. Also you should talk to Danny about history. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Knotts isnt always just having fun but to hear and look around Independence Hall is always amazing. Interesting place to visit and to enjoy our American history without knowing that its educational. Its a hidden jem for old and young.

Such a great place to take students. My students have been studying US history and this is the perfect culminating event for the unit. It costs 23.00 for buses- make sure you have cash for that- bus driver wont pay- other than that its free. If you want to get a 2 hour tour with characters that dress up as Abigail Adams and benjamin Franklin there is a fee per student. Self guided tours are free for anyone. They have an exact replica of the liberty bell as well as an audio presentation of the ratification of the Declaration of Independence. The gift shop has many things to look at and purchase. My students had a GREAT time.

If your in the Buena Park area any you want to know more about the founding of the United States you owe it to your self to visit this place. Independence Hall is an exact replica of the one in Philadelphia, it even has a replica of the liberty bell. Their is a presentation about the debate to declare independents from the British and the adoption of the declaration of independence. All and all very educational with a unique gift shop and the guy that was there was very knowledgeable. It is located across the street from Knotts Berry Farm who also run it and best of all its free.

I have visited here several times it is a gem of a place. Where else can you learn about the 14 United States Presidents before George Washington? Unfortunately, the Americans with disabilities act has made the upper areas inaccessible . Did I mention there is no charge for the experience?

They have made this harder to get to now. We took our grandkids and we were disappointed at how Knotts berry farm has let this deteriorate and they dont really seem to promote it anymore. It was great having the kids see and hear about the Liberty bell and the audio of the declaration of independence debate. Give it a little TLC and some promotion please and itll attract tons more people!

This place is full of history. I loved it! The docents there really knew their stuff. Most people overlook this little building when visiting Knotts but I made it a point to check it out. So glad I did. It is an exact replica of the one in Philadelphia, and, consequently, I learned that its the one the shot in for the movie National Treasure with Nick Cage. Amazing history!

It was okay but parking just to go was ridiculous. You give $20 just to go in and listen to everything, you have to make it out before 2hrs to get your money back.By the time you make it to the car with minuets spared, you wait in a line and then wait again for 30 to 45min for a manager to come return the money to you.Why do they even have this place if you cant explore it?Why pay $20 for all day parking to see one building? The side with the oldtown classrooms are in the area with the rides, so you cant even see all the history.Therfore, homeschool parents, not really worth our time. Honestly.

We come here occasionally when we go to Knotts Berry Farm. The exterior atmosphere is very fun -they have a picnic area with a lake, ducks, geese, chickens, roosters and other little fowl! The inside of Independance Hall is pretty cool too. They ha e a room that replicates where the Declararion of Independance was written, the Liberty Bell, and other fascinating pieces of that time. However, sometimes the workers will just straight up talk your ear off and detract from the experience. Its good to hear what they have to say because some of it is very informative but when we want to leave they seem to not know when to stop. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star.

I will probably never visit the Liberty Bell so this tour was perfect for me. They take you back to the second Continental Congress where Ben Franklin, James Adams, and 11 other delegates debated whether to commit treason and declare Independence from the British. Excellent tour.

I was in-love upon first glance and wished I had more time to let the imagination explode here.Within the hall replica my imagination went wild & I pictured our treason ( death by hanging or firing squad the penalty) risking founders (like George Washington & Alexander Hamilton) deliberating on (the terms of) how the new independent colonies should be governed; as they were risking treason by signing a document to separate from mother England. This place is an exact replica to the building in Philadelphia were the original framers did their treason risking business; with lots of exact educational memorabilia; & a passionately well informed staff member with facts beyond the scope of the history books. This guy knows history facts that even PHD history scholars wouldnt know.

No matter whether you are history buff or not, this place is amazing. This was the set for National Tresure and holds the only replica of the Liberty Bell. It also houses a show which shows what really happened around the Declaration of Independence. I have to say that the guide knows anything there is to know about the forgotten Presidents, independence hall and everything else connected to them. It may be owned by knotts berry farm but it is an attraction in its own right. We have been here twice now but we still know there is so much more to learn from Wayne, the guide. This is a must see for anyone going near LA.

Save yourself a trip back east, and see the Brick by Brick replica of Philadelphias Independence Hall. At Knotts Berry Farm, just across the street from it... Go into like youre headed to Soak City, let them know you are there to see Independence Hall, and you can park for free. It is definitely worth the quick visit, well, we were there for about 45 minutes. They have some really nice historic pieces, and on the inside or some very beautiful chandeliers, as well as Independence Hall, itself well youll have to see the presentation. Heres a hint, watch the pins on the desk, trust me. That presentation takes about 20 minutes, and it is very very worth it. It is free, and how can you get any better than free? I dont know either lol. The curator, he is very friendly very helpful and accommodating. It is now ran by the national parks division, which is just as well, I guess it really doesnt matter as long as its still there :-) I had wanted to go to it numerous times before when we visit California, this time we just did it. And I am very glad we did. Very informative a lot of history, and very patriotic. Family friendly? Most definitely.
